On Friday 30 July 2021 I called in around 15:30 to place an order for collection. I usually order and collect and it has been working fine for the past 11/2 year. Because Gateway was packed being month end I got delayed in fetching my order which I eventually went to fetch after 17;00. To my surprise there was no trace of my order and I was asked to re order and wait. Of which I did because there was no way I was going to cook after the day I had. The order did not take long but when I got home I was disappointed at the actual order. The chicken was burnt and falling off the bone with no flavour. The burnt taste and smell took away the prego sauce and the chicken was soon to be mince. After such a long time of good service I must say I was utterly dissatisfied

Good day I have purchased a meal about 2 weeks ago through Uber eats, from the barcelos umhlanga in the caltex garage. Upon receiving our order, the chicken looked like it was boiled and put in a bag. The rolls were stale. When we contacted the manager, he said he would sort us out. If we dont complain. Its been 2 weeks and Innocent the manager didnt have the decency to contact us.

It was lovely, quick service.I didnt know what to eat because the initial place I was going to had closed already. But I dont regret deciding to go to Barcelos. It was my first time there but not my last. The lady behind the til recommended something she said I would come back and she was right

No no no!! I would give them 0 starts if that was possible!Barcelos at Caltex, Umhlanga used to be one of my favorite take aways, however I stopped ordering after the quality dropped last year. I decided to try it again today and what I got was just disgusting. It was absolutely dry, no sauce, wrong flavor, just overall putrid to even look at - literally looked like they took someone elses left over and gave that to me. The marinated chicken I cook in my airfyer is better and more flavourful.I am utterly disappointed. I guess they retain their customers because of convenience and not the taste or standard they once had.Guys, if you want consistency, try frangeros or galitos instead. But will not go back to this barcelos.

The food was amazing, had a lemon and herb full chicken.... OMG the toasted garlic roll 😋 yummy, thats gonna be my regular restaurant now.

I asked about 4 times for extra sauce and I evn had bawt the lil container on the side which she definitely sleepin on the phone bcos she put the wrong flavor the chicken was so dry cud barely swallow the rice was hard and half cookedI only had wish I had taken a picture dat 2.. terible is an understatement dey shud reli close this branch down...bcos to me the staff dnt value thier jobs dey dnt have a passion to handle food with care and inconsideration dey have a franchise name to uphold...I am now waiting the store managers response.

Messed up our orders. Asked for 2x double delicious (super peri) and recieved the prego flavor which isnt even in the least bit spicy

Halal. Wait is not long. It easy to park and eat in. Menu has a wide range. Chicken is tasty. There are usually good specials and you get value for money. Comfortable seating area. it usually a short wait. You can also fill up petrol or visit a convenience store next door while you wait. I like that there are other side options other chips and salad (often out of stock though). I felt they do under serve the quantity, please check before you leave. If you complain dont allow slick attempts to weasel out of being fair.

The meal was horrible and below all standard of grill chicken that I ever eaten.The chicken was raw on the inside and even the skin was stuck to the packaging.Never again Barcelos. A waste of money.
