The accommodation we booked in Colesberg was a disappointment but while on an afternoon walk we saw this eatery and noticed that there were a fair amount of customers. We looked inside, liked the decor and menu and walked there later for dinner. My husband said his lamb chops were probably the best he has ever had. My biltong soup was also delicious. The atmosphere and decor was tasteful. The waitresses were friendly and efficient. By the time we left the restaurant was full. A good sign

Really good food at reasonable prices. Try the chicken wings and awesome potato wedges with blue cheese sauce you wont be disappointed.

Unexpectedly had dinner at Inni Kraal last night, and it was absolutely lovely and delicious. Juanita our server was sharp and attentive, our meals were delicious and fresh, best onion rings I have ever had in my life, and that says a LOT! Nice atmosphere and lovely fireplace. Wine list could be improved on a bit but the whiskey went down smoothly as an alternative. Well done to all!

What an unexpected pleasure! We popped in for a quick supper, and were blown away by really well-cooked food, in a cosy atmosphere. Our steaks came exactly as ordered, with some of the best onion rings Ive eaten in ages. Ill stay over in Colesberg again just for this place!

Can recommend trying this restaurant for some Karoo lamb or pizza. Pet friendly if you can get a table outside but just know they don’t seem to take bookings.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the lamb shank we had for dinner was out of this world. Definitely coming back.

Delivery took 2 hours to our bnb. But besides that, the food was awesome. Make sure to order the 1kg ribs. Mind-blowing! Pizza is awesome too.

Lovely atmosphere, professional staff and some amazing lamb dishes.

Good food and casual vibe. We sat outside because we came with our dog. They brought our dog a bowl of water. Seems very popular with lots of visitors. Very friendly host and waiters. The only drawback is extremely slow service. They did warn us but it felt like forever.Weve ordered the drinks, food and dessert as a combo soon as we sat down. Weve arrived at 18h15, and could only leave at 20h30, we spent most time waiting for our orders. Only ordered 3 drinks, 1 pizza and 2 dessert with coffee. Definitely not a suitable for a quick bite.

This place is nothing short of amazing. The food is masterclass, the staff are so friendly and the price is fantastic. Finding this place was a happy accident. A stay at the lodge is a short walk away. I need to go back when Im passing by again.

We went twice in the last year and both times we were impressed. The food was delicious and affordable, the staff were welcoming and efficient, they followed the Covid protocols and we can highly recommend them. Inni Kraal is certainly a cut above some other restaurants in this area by far.

The best eisbein I have ever eaten. The portion size was huge and the onion rings are too scrumptious. I will definitely recommend eating their. The hosts and personnel are just lovely.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! Was not expecting to find such a great and inviting place to eat in Colesberg, but was pleasantly surprised. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent. Perfect for a stop along the N1! Will definitely recommend!

Welcoming atmosphere! One of a very few restaurants open on a Sunday morning at 9:00 in Colesberg. Very friendly and excellent service. Grinded Italian coffee beans is a perfect way to start breakfast. The food was well presented and well prepared, full of Karoo flavours! Restrooms are clean and neat. Wonderful restaurant and people.

Best lamb curry! Cozy & vibey atmosphere

Had a strange experience. At first they did not have a table for six people even though there were open tables they were not prepared to move them together. The lady were very eager to suggest other places we can rather go. We did not feel very welcome. There were a notice outside that only well behaved children are aloud. Not that our kids are not behaved but they are only children.* Thank you for your reply Inni Kraal. I feel that this review platform is created for customers to share their personal experience. I did not bad mouth the restaurant this was just our personal experience. I write on this platform not to criticize places in a bad way but to share my experience and maybe some places can use it in a good or bad way.Good luck with the New Year and may it be a better year than this year.

Inni Kraal (Colesburg) is probably one of the best stops from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Its amazing to see how much effort is invested to make customers happy. Your restaurant caters everyone. Fancy vibe, casual vibe, rugby vibe, student vibe, relaxed vibe. Its for everyone. Mushroom sauce pizza & Thunder Bird Darling brew beer. Highly recommended. Stay in the mix, you guys are doing a great job!

We had dinner here on our way from Cape Town to Johannesburg. The menu had a nice variety of choices which run to all tastes, and we were able to order something simple and affordable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our food did not take long. There was also a good selection of beers and ours came cold and quickly with chilled glasses to Match! All in all a pleasant experience.

Best restaurant in Colesberg, I always go with my family. And Ive been telling friends and colleagues about the restaurant as well. It has great menu and friendly atmosphere. They have very nice staff always smiling and helpful.

The restaurant itself is cozy and quite lovely and was recommended to us by our host for the night. The food however needs some attention. Veg and rice were incredibly bland in my husbands lamp chop meal. Will not be eating here again.

Inni Kraal is a family owned restaurant hidden in the heart of Colesberg. My husband and stopped there for breakfast as we were traveling down to the coast. We walked in and were greated by very friendly staff. We sat outside, in the shade of an old oak tree and enjoyed a cappuccino.We both order an omelet, which was filled with freshly sliced mushrooms and green pepper, topped with bacon, cheddar cheese and feta cheese. The portions were very filling! The atmosphere was very relaxing and we were recharged to continue the second part of our trip. All an all an EXCELLENT experience. Delicious food, positive atmosphere and brilliant service.

One of those hidden gems that you have to go find. The food is brilliant and the atmosphere is something that is a must to experience. I gladly recommend this restaurant to anyone going to visit Colesberg.

Been sat down at the table and then left after 20 minutes without any service. Totally ignored and forgotten. 2 Tables next to us, that came after us were helped and had their drinks served in that time. Poor management..................................

This restaurant was disappointing. We expected more, with its ambiance and decor. The spaghetti was stoggy and overcooked. The bolognaise sauce was too sweet. The butternut soup portion was too little. My husband said the lamb chops were OK, but the portion also too little, with 2 chops and veg for R130. Having said this, the staff is friendly and there is a great atmosphere with nice music. The secret is probably to find the dish that works for you.

It was definitely worth waiting for our meals (like the sign outside stated, you wait approximately 40min), but the meals where prepared to perfection. Thank you for great food and ambiance. Great Country food and hospitality!

Can highly recommend this restaurant. The chicken salad I ordered was amazing, compared to the one I had in another restaurant in another town for the exact same price. Husband loved his pizza. The vibe is so good, that we didnt even notice the time and sat awhile after we had finished our meal. Keep up the great service- we will be back.

Great Lamb Dishes

I was rather disappointed the lowest scoring reviews were so inaccurate, thereafter deflating my passive aggressive anger from being stuck in a car for the last 7 hours, only to find great service, being greeted even before entering the restaurant, excellent cocktails and jam jars, well served. The orders took a bit too long for our liking, but thank god those cocktails kept the party going, and for a restaurant as fully packed as that the timing was still fine. We ordered pizzas and were amazed at seeing them being prepared before us, the dessert was also amazing, highly recommend the chocolate volcano. We had a great conversation with one of the restaurant staff, Betta, about the poor reviews and how they were completely wrong. Great dining experience, its a small town restaurant, dont expect fast food level service. Would definently come again

Their food is world class. We were 5 people and all of us ordered something different. Every dish was a taste sensation, from the melt in the mouth fillet to the best and most delicious ribs I ever had. I can highly recommend Inni Kraal to every food lover. We waited a bit longer for our food, but on enquiry we heard that all food is freshly prepared from scratch for each person. And it really makes a difference. Dont skip this food jewel!

5/10 Pizza base was stail and was the cheap frozen kind I think. Not enough cheese or toppings. They used a sweet tomato sauce as the base sauce which overpoweredall other flavors....if any other spices were even used. The bright side is that it brought back memories of Pizza I made when I was a teenager at home. Waste of money.7/10 Lamb Shank. Big piece of soft meat but very bland in taste.
