The accommodation is decent but the rates increased more than double, there was also no water the next morning

Safe and secure. Slept well, could be slightly cleaner- still found spiders in the room (dead and alive), beautiful garden to relax in, quiet and peaceful, breakfast staff got 3/3 orders wrong, but breakfast was delicious. A little expensive for what we got compared to other venues we’ve stayed in on/off the N1.

We was surprised to see do much value for money.huge rooms.bath and shouwer.its like a flat. Pool. And many more space. DONT MISS

With Darren & Lindsay (previous owners) that has left the country, it sad to see Die Kleipot lost its personal touch, love and attention to detail. Best to describe; Its lifeless! Accommodation per night its honestly way overpriced, wont see us again!

We had a comfortable overnight stay. Neat and clean. Breakfast was supposed to be ready at 07:15. What a disappointment this morning: no breakfast and not one staff member anywhere to be seen. Therefore, the overnight accommodation price is overrated

We made use of this place a few years back and did not know that it changed owners. New owners definitely do not apply the same standards, although the same conditions are advertised on all advertisements.

Probably the best places I’ve laid my head in a long while.Set off the beaten path and up a quiet road nestled in the mountains you’ll find this fine establishment.The proprietors are incredibly friendly and made every effort to make the stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible - they succeeded in all respects.Rooms are clean and tidy, air conditioned and there’s WiFi should you feel like you’re cut off from the world - just reconnect.The breakfast spread was a welcoming sight, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. What an incredible experience.

The staff was very friendly and the fact that the security was great for our car that we had to leave oitside, was a plus for me. The bed was very comfortable, but I think that the price was a little bit too high for what we got. The barhroom wasnt clean & the rusks next too the kettle was old. Unfortunately I dont think I will return there. If I pay more than I would for a luxury hotel room, I expect more.

Very need, friendly staff. Breakfast was goog. We had a small problem but the owners came immediately and help to sort it out. It was really appreciated. Thank you very much

The room was great. The food was fantastic. The people were so welcoming. They were willing to wait for our very late arrival when other guesthouses turned us down. Having car trouble was not fun and then we arrived at the Kleipot and could recharge.

Thank you for a great stop over. The Kleipot guest house is a welcoming, friendly & pet friendly accommodation. Next time we hope to stop for supper too, the menu looks fantastic. Breakfast is certainly delicious!

Has an air con and comfortable stay, they will assist if you want to braai as well. Great stay.

This place was very neat with frendly management the garden beutiful there are differend rooms singele to family rooms with a safe in eatch room this is not a self catering but an overnight facility but you can arrange before hand to be served at there resturant like breakfast we enjoy our stay

We usually sleep in Colesberg on our way to Cape Town at least every second year, for many years! Our first time with Kleipot. This is the best place that we ever stayed over in Colesberg, a beautiful place to relax after the whole day on the road! We will definitely be back!!

We once again stayed here on route to Gauteng. The guest house is situated in a quite part of Colesberg. The garden is lovely with a abundance of roses and other flowers-a true oasis in this dry region. The rooms are exceptionally clean with comfortable beds and good quality linen. There is a fridge which is very helpful when you have something that needs to be kept cold. Lindsey is the most friendly hostess and breakfast is very very good. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but we had dinner here before and that was 5 star!

Service was friendly... room was comfortable with DSTV and coffee/tea... rusks were a nice touch...Was perfect as a half way stop between JHB and CT.

I had a wonderful stay with my whole family. Its an inviting and clean look with beautiful gardens.Some of the standouts.Pet friendly overnight. Lots of room to streach their legs and tierd bodies after a long drive.Filter coffee in the room. As a fan of great coffee I was surprised with fresh coffee and milk. A welcoming site. 3 stars just for the coffee.Recycling. Protecting our earth, it was great that a guest house in a small town also takes it seriously. Thumbs up for Colesberg.Thank you for the best stay I had in a long time.

We had a perfect stay whileComing back from Cape Town.The place is just beauty and huge.Its managed by family. The rooms are just like home.The food options are limited but worth to try.
