Wonderful experience. Room is spacious and well decorated. All amenities one could dream of and more. Pool was a welcome blessing, much desired after a day out in summer. Cant give a review as we did not stay at Colesview Guest House. We did however stayed at Coles Corner Cottages. And it was superb. A 5 star experience

Very friendly staff. Owner is wonderful. Rooms were clean and well furnished. Air conditioned thankfully, so a very pleasant temperature. Thankfully also use of a pool available which is very much needed on the hot days. Free wifi.Very safe, amazing experience. Plan on coming back often. Would very much recommend.

Room was nice but no-one at reception to greet us but a junior member of staff gave us keys to the room and told us she would knock on the door when she arrived. She didnt do that and because we were very tired and it was late afternoon we wanted to take off our shoes and socks and settle in. Eventually my husband went to Reception to pay the bill and was told because of covid they could only do us a frozen breakfast to take away which we refused. We had been staying in B&Bs for three weeks and always been given a hot breakfast. We wont go back

Bathroom and room clean and spacious with tea and coffee and a complimentary sherry. Gardens beautifully kept with seating to relax.

As a family of 5, with 3 small kids, the drive between Jhb and PE in a 5 door Polo Vivo can be a squeeze and a real test of family resilience. This year we stopped over at Colesview, booked the 6 sleeper family unit and our lives was changed for the better. Booking was very quick and convenient via LekkeSlaap, communication with Colesview first started when we left Jhb, they phoned me, to establish approximate arrival time and to give instructions. I like structure so this suited me perfectly. The family unit itself was perfect, plenty of room for 5 of us, very clean and inviting, I had no qualms bathing the kids that night. The beds were super comfortable and warm, creature comforts like electric blankets and extra blankets was readily available. Charmaine our host was charming and explained were we could get food and other options in need. We would return in a heartbeat because the experience was just perfect.

Nice comfortable clean room. Nice bedding not worn out from use. Very good water pressure for showers. Lock up parking in a closed yard. Did not need it, but rooms have panel heaters and electric blankets on the beds. The owner was very friendly and on hand to help, even though I got there a bit late.

The gardens are beautiful and the owners are very respectful people, there to serve you. They also have an honesty bar and the serene area allows for you to feel much at ease. The place is very beautiful and the Staff members are very friendly. On arrival we were welcomed by Natasha who answered all the questions we had. In the morning we met the owner Rene very friendly also. We were assigned room 2... emaculate. The breakfast, very delicious. And the guest houses security is very impressive, our vehicle was parked in a lockable garage.

Nice little cozy place. Only stayed 1 night so i cant fully rate it, but the one night was a peaceful one. Only issue was that there are no nets on the bathroom windows to keep out insects if u leave the window open at night.

After a long day on the road one wants a comfortable hazzle free rest. The reception was friendly and all formalities were handled efficiently. We were given a lock-up garage to secure or packed vehicle. The room had complimentary coffee and tea. A bar fridge to secure any drinks and food stuffs. The bed was clean and comfortable and the hot shower was great after the long day. The breakfast was great. I would recommend the Colesview Guest House to family and friends

I have once again been privileged to stay at Colesview Guest House. Firstly there was Charmaines handling and assistance of the booking procedure complete with all the necessary details and map, and just as 2 years ago, Alex and Rene Dumas were the most fantastic hosts, one cannot ask for more. They welcomed us personally, no matter the time of day, it was like coming home! Everything was ready and in place, just what a tired traveler needed, peace and quiet with no hassles whatsoever! Even sherry to finish the day with! I was so sorry we had to leave again early the next day, without even having had time to visit with them. Rene sent us off with the most fantastic packed breakfast anyone could ask for. Colesview Guest House will always be on top of my list of places to stay. Thanks again, all of you.

Sweet little B&B. Friendly service and nice rooms with air con and TV. Affordable prices and good security. If youre driving between Jhb and Cape Town, and like to stop over in Colesberg - this is my choice. Bonus feature - small swimming pool to cool off in after a long road trip. Ive stayed here many times over a decade or more, and I always get the same good service.

Its a challenge to select an overnight stop in Colesburg. There are so many places to choose from, so we chose Coleview Guest House pretty much at random after looking around online. It turned out to be a good choice. The owners told me that last December (2018) there were around 55 places to stay in Colesburg. Its halfway to everywhere. The guest house is a small establishment but well maintained. We had a single room that sleeps 3, quite ok for an overnight. The bathroom was large with shower only. The beds were very clean and kitted out with every type of pillow, blankets and electric blankets. The sheets were outstanding in their clean fresh feel. The room had a wall panel heater and an aircon. Free wifi and a TV. Small empty fridge. Coffee, Tea, milk, cups and glasses were in the room and also a complimentary sherry was waiting in our room on arrival. Another nice feature is every room gets a corresponding lock-up garage. The whole place is secure behind fencing and an access controlled gate. Breakfast was included and we were pleasantly surprised to find a neat restaurant tucked away behind reception where we enjoyed our full english breakfast. I would say the restaurant is equal to a city lodge or similar. Its not a place I would stay long but as an overnight I can recommend it. One point to be aware of is that they require you check in up to latest 19:00 so you may find that inconvenient, but they were willing to adjust somewhat. Overall a very good option if youre looking for a halfway stopover.
