I normally use this delivery on a weekly basis but had such a bad experience. Driver was 30min late and I had no updates. Had to call the call centre to figure out the issue. Driver then arrives 30min later and says he was in an accident. Food was super cold, couldnt eat some food items and presentation was really bad. Then they send me a free delivery worth R15 for the inconvenience. Talk about not taking responsibility and reimbursing me where necessary! Thanks but you lost a customer!!

First timer order and havent received my order after 1 and a half hour.had to phone in multiple times in which the end result was for the company to simple cancel the order and say, place the order again.Highly Highly recommend to not use this company or service as they really do not care.

Very bad first experience. Order was messed up badly. Also, they only notified us that the order had been collected after the driver had been there. The driver said he was going to go back and get the order right. We never saw him again.

I had an accident on the 19th of September where a Mr D driver stopped in the middle of the road, didnt look if anything was behind him and reversed straight into my car while trying to illegally parallel park in a loading zone. I have contacted numerous people at Takealot and still no solution has been provided. The guy who runs the Mr D Rondebosch office refused to give me any insurance details and insinuated that I was at fault, even though I have a policeman as a witness who witnessed the whole accident. I am sick and tired of takealots lack of urgency in so many accident report cases. I am in the process of contacting other people who have had accidents with Mr D drivers so that together, we can expose Takealot for what they are doing to innocent people behind the scenes. It claims to be SAs leading online store but lacks basic customer service and problem solving skills.
