What a lovely spot. The look and feel is nice. The place is clean and fresh. The sushi is yummy and made with extra love.

I have been here for the 3rd time and I can say I highly recommend this place as the southern suburbs best sushi restaurant... their Asian cuisine is top quality.It is a beautiful quaint restaurant with lovely staff.Sometimes you can pick up some good food deals for this restaurant on wikideals too.If you love Asian cuisine or sushi and live in the south-This is the place to go.Never had enough place for dessert this time as we order about 70 pieces of sushi(pictured), but the dessert is good too.They currently have a 3 for 2 platters of about 10 pieces going for R149 a platter, and are absolutely delicious.

If three was 6 stars I would give this place that.What an amazing experience. The staff works together calm then that flow to the customers, because the manager is stress-free and qt the same time on point.A must go to when in around Cape Town. Genuine Asian cuisine with an extensive range of dishes, including Sushi. The food that we ordered was extremely tasty and well presented. The waitress was friendly and efficient. Its advisable to make a table reservation up front.

Despite the odd negative review and having been to the previous restaurant called Rock Sushi Thai I was very happy with the service and food at this restaurant.Half price cocktails on Saturday is a good incentive to try this place out but more so the food.Good price and large portions. Delicious!!! We tried the Thaiyashi platter and Braised pork belly. The pork belly is cooked beautifully. Soft and flavorful. Sushi is nicely platted and the deep fried rolls are tasty with different sauce. Sashimi and roses are fresh. They now even have better specials on sushi and drinks. Cool vibe and friendly staff from the waiter to manager and sushi chef. We will definitely come back again!!

Good portions. The waiters did not pay much attention as we are normally accustomed to. Maybe just work on the timing of checking up on the patrons. The flavour was ok but not quite what I was expecting for Asian fusion pork belly, it was like a home cooking sauce gravy. I would still return to try something else.

Service was a bit slow initially, but when they got to us after we asked for service it was quick and friendly. Food was OK, not great. Im always a little suspicious of Thai restaurants that serve a multitude of pseudo eastern cuisine type dishes. So then Im not sure if I should get dumplings, thai noodles or sushi. I got the noodles, was OK. Portions are big!

Sushi was good, but chef was hitting flies left right and Centre in front of people, at the same place where sushi is made. So I lost my appetite to eat as I did not see him wipe the surface after killing flies 🤢

The atmosphere is very pleasant. You can have lovely dinner conversation. The service was excellent. We have a very friendly and attentive waitron serving us. We all found that numerous dishes were extremely sweet for our taste, but on the whole, the food was very good. The wine is also well priced! I would recommend this place.

OUR SUSHI EXPERIENCEThe waiter was lovely, the drinks were great and we thought the sushi was great, that was until we got home 4 hours later. My boyfriend and I both had terrible upset stomachs and that was the only food we had eaten that day so there was no other possible reason. We are very upset about this and probably wont be going back again because we dont want to risk it. A sore tummy is not nice.So be careful when ordering food you dont know and ask if you dont understand something on the menu.

The space is very nice, the staff very friendly and provide lots of feedback. The portion size of their meals are very good, and the food is tasty.Prices vary based upon the option, such as vegetarian, beef, pork, etc, the prawn being most expensive.I can heartily recommend going here for a meal and then afterwards going to get an ice-cream around the corner.

At last, a Thai restaurant that delivers and as a bonus throws in some excellent sushi as a bonus. Food is very very good here. Wine list could improve and beers on tap are the three only things that are not good ascot this restaurant . Service is top notch. Ambience and atmosphere perfect

Good value for money. Reasonable ambience. Best Miso and Tom Yum soups ever! Unfortunately the pineapple in the sweet and sour pork was off, actually starting to ferment but we were handsomely compensated and we WILL go back.

I am torn as to what star to give this place. The food is wonderful. But the entire experience is spoiled by one incredibly insensitively (ie its utterly racist) named sushi roll. So a friend and I just popped in at around 4pm for a quick filler in between having missed lunch and plans for dinner in not too long after, and can definitely comment from our experience an all around very good experience... Food was all great quality, and general favour in all of the 4 maybe 5 or so sushi/starter dishes we shared.Perhaps debatable as the place is in a high rent area, and finished very nicely, but the only point deducted from 5/5 was for the price... Thigh not exorbitant or unfair, have also had what I would consider very similar quality experiences for around 10, maybe even 20% less.Will definitely return though, and can recommend to anyone (not on a strict budget) who enjoys the asian cousine in general... ;g

I brought my family there for dinner last Friday. The sushi platters that my kids had were very good. I ordered crispy duck which was anything but crispy and the meat was a dark grey. Clearly it had been microwaved. I sent this back and ordered sashimi When it arrived my son took one glance at it and send dont eat as the Tuna was brown in colour. I then sent this back . A lady then came out to chat to me regarding this and told me they freeze there Tuna to kill parasites. Tuna is supposed to be pink in colour not brown and also not frozen. So all in all a very disappointing meal .Regards Paul

Good sushi - my recommendation is the Angry Dragon which is topped with eel. Service is good. We had the crispy chicken with peanut sauce and the Fire cracker noodles with prawns.

First experience we waited an hour and a half for our sushi to arrive, second time I walk in to order the waitress tells me to come back in 20 minutes to collect. To be safe I go back after 30 minutes just to find that she hasn’t even placed my order.....

There service was good and their portion sizes generous. The curry was tasty, but their phad thai was too sweet and not true to the original dish. Overall a nice experience, but be selective about what you order.

I never write/post nasty reviews. But the food was so bad, I feel I must. I had cashew and oyster sauce chicken - of which the chicken was the most thin and over cooked slabs of rubber. My friend had the Mendake Noodle dish. Both tasted the same - like Knorrs instant onion soup. Its a shame, as the waitron was friendly and the ambiance is nice. Truly dreadful food.
