We spend the day at Fort Simon Wine estate for my niece birthday. Their breakfast was delicious. Aswell there pizza fantastic. The service excellent. The view marvelous on point 🍕💯👌👏

Nestled in the Stellenbosch vineyards, you will find this absolute gem of a place. Peacefull surrounds, beautiful service and really good food. Went there for a Fathers Day lunch and although not your average lunch menu, they do offer meat and cheese platters that is out of this world. We opted for the pizza and it is the best I ever had. We topped that off with some baked cheese cake and pecan nut pie... Believe me when I say, better then this is hard to find.Next week I am going back for a hike along their hiking trial and finish that off with a coffee to soak in the tranquility.

Wow, where to begin. My husband and I were so amazed by this beautiful estate, the super friendly staff and the delicious wine off course. The wine production process happens in the fort. It’s not open for the public to go into the fort as yet but there are plans to conduct wine master tours in the near future. There’s plenty on this estate to keep one in awe. The beautiful lawns and water pool feature which creates a tranquil atmosphere while you enjoy wine tasting and a bite to eat. It’s also a wedding venue so if you’re in love with the Bridgeton series on Netflix and have a wedding coming up, this can be a perfect setting to host it and perfect for that wedding shoot. There is a chapel as well.

Stunning setting!! The hills and wine yards are so beautiful. I enjoyed my company.The pizza was lovely. Would like to go again, i heard there is a nice hiking trail.Ps. Do not follow Google maps to Fort Simon, does not take you to the correct place.I will not bring my two busy boys as they will want to swim in the lovely water / pond / pool.There is a jungle gym.

Lovely wine tasting and cheese platter

Love this old Fort / castle. The garden is well maintained. We did breakfast and it was delicious. Remember to book upfront. It is a lovely view walking *over a bridge* with the pool both sides, to the restaurant. Food and coffee were delicious and very tasty. In summer it will even be more beautiful, sitting in the garden. We did not do the wine tasting thing. There is also a wedding venue. The restaurant is not big. Will go back in summer

I cannot waste time with too many words....So utterly blown away, Jorika at Fort Simon made my daughters special day so perfect, I cannot express my gratitude enough. STUNNING venue, FANTASTIC STAFF, MAGICAL NIGHT we will never forget. Thank you guys, you ROCK!

We just like the place even though we were visiting for the first time, especially the tasting, building and outline of thereof!

I think its underrated in terms of the location. Less busy than some of the more well known places which suits us perfectly. Food and wine is good and the staff friendly and helpful.

This place is so beautiful, definitely a must see and the breakfast was amazing. The pictures do not do this place justice. Its even more beautiful when you see it for yourself.

The picnicking was absolutely wonderful. The setting was beautiful, sitting on the grass under a giant tree overlooking the vineyards.And the food was delicious and plentiful. Great value and well worth it:)

Very nice place, however wed booked a birthday party. They sent us the menu before hand and on the day we were told half the menu didnt apply, although the menu on the day was the same. Shocking.

This is cape towns hidden gem and we just happened to find it, takes you on a longish gravel road before your eyes gazes on a castle structure in the far distance as you get ever closely, platter for 2 is just what will make your lady happy and wine tasting that uses different ingredients then those you are familiar with but nonetheless very tasty and not going to leave you with heartburn the end off the day. there is something really magically about this place that you can sit down and watch the castle, the pool area with a bridge and the birds in the trees.

Lovely for a picnic or a delicious cheese platter to share next to the pool. The Viognier is well worth the short drive on the dirt road.

It was unbelievable and amazing how the person in charge was so willing to go out of their way to assist us of our needs. We were struggeling and searching for weeks and then we found this perfect little place for our family to get together before a small matric fare well.......picture perfect place, very friendly people, nice food - so blessed.

Took the very long dirt road drive only to get to the venue and see that it was closed to public for a private wedding. No signs indicating closed to the public anywhere, no person when parking informing us. Very disappointed.

Wow what a place! Honestly would never in a million years expected to see a fort in a wine farm. Absolutely stunning with fantastic views. It just got better from there.Wesley took us through the wine tasting - he was very helpful and knowledgeable and really made us feel welcome. The wine is very very nice. Quite elegant and balanced.The cheeseboard was one of the best I have ever had. Such thought was put into the creating of the board. Such stunning cheeses, very generous portions and just delicious.A hidden gem, and I will go back!

Went there for a wedding. The venue was delightful. The gravel road from the main road was shocking, granted it was raining, but still extremely difficult when in a light vehicle.

This place is a real hidden gem. Fort Simon wine is the best I’ve tasted along the Stellenbosch wine route. Their platters are absolutely divine and a must try. If you interested in wine tasting on your next Cape Town trip this is a place to check out.
