The paella looked beautiful but was bland. The server who greeted and sat me was friendly. The server who waited on me didn’t have the time of day for me. She dropped the paella and didn’t come back once. The table next to me was enjoying wine and she was at their table at least every 5 minutes checking on them.

Lovely restaurant on the beach front with great views over the bay... Friendly service with options of indoor or outdoor eating... Food was reasonably priced... Food was really good, I had the ravioli pasta with ham... Food was good but very small portion so would recommend the flat breads which were much larger portions... Or other bigger dishes if you hungry...

The crockery, milk jugs and glasses were not very clean with visible debris specks.The pricing is excessive and the service slow and not enthusiastic. We waited 28 min for a coffee, tea and ice tea to come to the table. The place was not even near 30% of capacity.The tables and chairs need a deep cleaning and refurbishing.The cups probably take only 150ml. Was my last stop there. Covid-19 does not mean we should be subjected to sub standard service, small portions and excessive pricing.

Ossobuco soup and paella in the photo was really good! Highly recommended.Location and service is great (but it can drink in the general area, due to sewage outlet into the sea when the wind blows onshore).It is always a comfortable and casual vibe there, but nice and feel good.

Good place for drinks with friends and lots of tasty food. Lots of wines, beers and cocktails. The food has a nice selection of sharing snacks.The menus are online; keeping it Covid safe. Everyone gets their temperature checked and lots of hand sanitizer around.Has a very large outside patio one site for non-smoking in the other side for smokers. You can easily make reservations for inside but they don’t allow you to pre-book the outside and it’s on a first come first serve basis. And is even dog friendly! Only downside is that there is no corkage.

Management needs to have a proper chat with their waiting staff, and how they address their patrons. BOY is not the way to go when serving a 38 year old man.1st occassion this happened I calmy corrected my waiter, and he new what he said was wrong. (taking a huge chance with me)...Recieved help from someone else about 20 minutes later. Not impressed at a the 1st time round. But let it slide and forgot about it.2nd time round, a few months later. I though Id give it another go thinking it might have improved... Nope, and no less on a client lunch where I chose to keep my cool after being called BOY again. Shocking and very rude!!!Also food was cold on both occassions, with very small portions of actual meal. But hey well filll the plate with cold chips.Feel like being condescended to? Go this place with bad habits. Will never support again.

I love the vibe, the food and of course, the view at Sotanos. We ordered burgers with fries and it tasted really good. They have a large menu and well definitely be back to taste more. The waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Service was a bit slow, the food was presented beautifully but unfortunately the fish was not the greatest. Was a let down as I have been here before and food has always been good. The manageress did however come through and apologize for the fish.

Excellent service and delicious breakfast!

After walking along the Mouille Point Promenade we discovered this place. It was a gloomy and cold Saturday and it was a pleasant experience sitting on their covered balcony. There were heaters all around. I enjoyed their international beer variety and had a yummy fish soup. The prices are quite decent, a lovely surprise for the location. The vibe is chilled and perfect for a good meal and drinks with a view. Definitely coming back here.

My shakshuka was okay, average at best. Service was good. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not have an ambience and the smell from the nearby promenade permeates.

Perfect after a walk on the promenade or in Green Point park.You can only book tables inside so to get a good spot in the sun works on a first come basis.Slightly overpriced but the menu offers a nice range that caters for most diets. Was delish! Really enjoyed the Salmon roses. Glad they have an outside smoking area because so many times these days smokers are discriminated against. We know the non-smokers of course has the beter seating but at least they make and effort. One thing is for sure I spend lots of money at restaurants and normally wont support a 100% non-smoking restaurant. I would however consider upgrading some of the waddling chairs.

Very beautiful place inside and out with a variety of delicious dishes. The place is pet friendly. Its a really a very nice place to chill. They dont have much variety in drinks.

We chose this place as it came up on the Entertainer app so we assumed it would be a middle-range place. However, after ordering drinks and seeing the food menu we realised that it is a pricey restaurant, but beautiful indoors with an interesting live keyboard player and a great ambiance. Luckily the waitress was very pleasant about the the Entertainer 2 for 1 special so we could actually afford to enjoy a main meal. My friend ordered the lamb burger for R105 while I ordered the hake for R150. It is a generous portion with four pieces of hake, chips and a small salad. My friend’s lamb burger was a lot smaller, with only one half of the bun and some chips on the side but she enjoyed it. While my portion was generous, the battered hake was intense as the batter was rather thick and the fish a bit tasteless, but not too bad. Our waitress was lovely and really make my night with a fun, genuine friendliness and good attitude. I will definitely return once I’ve saved up for my next meal because it is a vibrant, classy place.

Restaurant with drinks corner on Beach Road with a view of the sea and promenade. Excellent manager and very good service. We only had a smoothy which was tasty with fresh passion fruit.

The location is great and I like that it is pet friendly. However, I did not enjoy my ice coffee or my seafood pasta, over priced for the quality I received.Maybe it was a one time occurrence, I would try the Sotano again.

Original menu Eastern inspired and infused dishes. Excellent choice of wines by the glass as well as bottles. Very reliable and fast fiber internet. Perfect place to have a big or small meal and work. Sotano also has a very big menu of craft and imported beers.

Outside seating area is loved by locals. For good reason. Food offering also nice. Friendly, well trained staff

I eat here often, probably the best location for ocean view dining on the Atlantic Seaboard . The menu is quite pricey, a fish and chips is R160 for instance, but there is nothing on this menu that doesn’t taste awesome.

Excellent Mediterranean style food also Eggs Benedict. Stroll along the Atlantic promenade across the road.

Stunning location - diagonally opposite the lite house @ Mouille Point. Great food! Very good service, except for 1 / 7 meals took much longer. Appreciated the manager’s prompt apology. Overall - love it! Gonna be back!

The interior is well done too, with well toned lighting and colours.Food is absolutely delicious too - good portions, however slightly more pricey than usual. One big negative is some of the staff service, which is either slow, poor or not polished off. Overall, good experience.

Seafood linguine was terrible. The fish was extremely dry and tasted awful. Got only 2 small prawns and mussels. Sauce tasted like pure oil. Sushi was sub par. My boyfriend ordered the lamb burger which was raw. They took it back and bought it back but it tasted awful. Only got half a roll too. We both feel super sick after eating there. Chef wasnt really concerned about it. Really terrible experience considering their high prices.

Very nice place! Both for dinner as for just having a beer. We tried their Spanish paella and was delicious although the portion was huge (which also is a plus :)) The service was excellent, prices reasonable, not cheap but also not too expensive. The only downside I found was the football match that was on the TV screen, something rather for pub than restaurant. But anyways it wasn’t annoying too much. Recommended with 5 stars!
