The hostel was good. great bar and balcony and the staff are friendly and helpful. the area has gone relatively downhill in the 4 years since my previous visit though.

Summary: you can get a lot better hostels for cheaper.Its not that clean, tiles, windows or lights are broken, its super noisy and the typical traveller feeling is also far away.Instead, external people from outside can come in and it feels like a place youre happy to leave.Wouldnt really recommend - there are nicer ones at the waterfront with pool and nicer facilities for less money!

Great vibe for open minded, party people. Would absolutely recommend it for anyone whos looking for a good time. Not the most comfortable or luxurious place but the vibe is great. The staff are friendly and vibey, great shows and bands playing every odd day. Its close to all the clubs and bars in town and its safe. Food service is great and affordable. Not the cleanest place and the temporary residents get too comfortable.

New owners. WiFi is the best of any hostel in CT I promise that. Very social, as a solo traveler it was easy to meet people. Staff are super friendly and helpful - booked tours, looked up surf conditions, gave us a free game of pool, etc. Right in the action on Long St close to everything. I stayed in 3 hostels in CT and this is the only one I’d be excited to go back to. Thanks guys!

Is this a hostel or a rock show? I dont have anything against bands playing their music in a hostel, but maybe you can lower the volume past midnight. My bed 1 floor above was vibrating because of how loud the music was. I could hear every lyric perfectly as if it was coming from my earbuds. Maybe get a bigger hostel, more floors or a very deep basement if you want to do that.

Its a really cool place if u can live with late night music till 3am. Good for backpackers

Its an okay place to stay at. The kitchen is small with only 2 stools for all the guests to sit and eat. There is eating place outside but if its raining then we have a problem. It has a great lounge downstairs with live music.

We booked late and the guy at the reception was not amused about this. He handled bored and we felt not welcome. The room was small and had a bunk bed which was uncomfortable. The bathroom I visited had nothing to put your stuff on and the wall was full of mold. All the stuff was old and looked shabby. Cause its a big hostel, its more anonymous and less familiar and its located directly in the party area from cape Town, so be prepared for rellay loud noise well ahead midnight. My tip, look for something different.

The pictures we seen on the Internet is false advertising. The rooms are not up to the standard, theres offish smell. Yes we understand that its for backpackers, but the least you could do is to have the room clean and tidy.

Extraordinary peace of architecture but sadly only on the outside.

If you decide to stay there...be prepared. Staff are very uniformed on whats happening in CT and seems agitated always. The staff seem to care more about there friend that comes and visit them at the bar. Great spot to get a heat stroke or blood stained pillows. If you are looking to have fun in beautiful Cape Town this isnt the place to be.

6 bed dorm room was good bathrooms not that clean

Towels were dirty, nor room tissue papers neither the sitting chair in any room. Picture showed two separate beds yet it was bunk in real. Staff was very cooperative and friendly.

Very limited room space, foul smell, unkept, door handle too stiff to open 👐 communal kitchen better, fridge very old with expired food. Cheap price at no comfort, reception better, bar is a better place to be than the accomodation itself... Not impressed by the owners at all because its great location for such business, it requires massive uplift, discounted price... WiFi excellent

It is a social, cheap and ideally located backpackers. The showers and toilets are decent but it is a noisy and busy venue. Great friendly staff!

The best place to stay if in Cape Town for a coue of days. Central central central.

Affordable price for Long Street, Cape Town...but warn out mattress, extremely hot in the rooms, not expecting air conditioning but at least a fan. Dirty showers and toilets, very noisy especially Sundays. Staff seem irritated and not very helpful. Will not stay there again.

Good place to stay

Impossible to sleep due to loud sound and bad pillows. Great in any other aspect. If you want to rest, thats not for you. If you want to party, spend one night or two.

I dont frequently use backpackers but this place surprised me. The area is vibrant and feels safe.

Suitable for backpackers. Its not luxurious or cozy. Here you will find bunk beds, tiny rooms, not much comfort.

Always chilled vibes, some days in the evening theres performance happening, check out their Facebook page for more details. Ive had my short film screened here as well, I have attended performances by Khofhi. There is a bar area for drink lovers, some pool tables. I just like to pop in for coffee, or chill while staring at the TV screen of whatever is playing.

The bedding is dirty which means they have no respect for their patrons. The whole place needs some renovations.

Nice enough place... but if you are hoping to sleep at all before 4am dont stay here. most of the rooms are right above the hostels disco bar. they play loud beats all niggt. woke up the next morning with disco beats still pounding in my ears. not good.

Most horrible hostel I ever experienced! Cockroaches in room 10 and probably more because of restaurants. Crashed somewhere else and didnt use one bed in an empty room. Charged me nevertheless. Unfriendly!

Its bloody bloody noisy in that place cause they are running a bar downstairs-use earplugs (which they provide free of charge) if you want to get some rest.

Is good, except for the bar opposite, thats every night a party! Nice people here, cool and easy! Nice that you like the photos! The sitting area is on the lower terrace, totally comfortable. I like to have breakfast here!
