The service was good (10/10)The food was very nice, but their hotdrinks and their fries were the stars for me. I had the beef shawarma, though I feared the wrap in which the came would be doughy when infact it was the opposite, it was light,fluffy and almost airy. The meal was quite tasty and very filling. Honestly though, their fries, absolute perfection, writing this is making me crave for them. XDThe pictures I took are quite mediocre, I was too invested in the food to realize the quality at which the pictures were taken.

Décor is beautiful makes you feel like you are in Syria. Food is basic. You need to ask for medium pink if you have medium make sure your meat is made the way you want before eating.

Quite an interesting find of a restaurant. Really enjoyed the vibe the music gave to the restaurant. I ordered the ostrich platter which comes with a variety of meats and the adana kebabs were my favorite. The chicken could have done with some more seasoning but the flavors on the plate was outstanding. The little side salad was really tasty as well

This place has such a cool vibe now that its moved from Sea Point Main Road. Shishas last more than an hour with 2 people sharing and the manoosh are really tasty :)Service is good with waitress checking up on you frequently. I ordered a mocktail and it was amazing but when I went again and ordered the same drink it tasted completely different. I did confirm with waitress that it was correct drink. Other than that its a good spot with a nice, informal vibe and good food!

So glad we decided to have Eid lunch at Syriana. The entire experience was worth going out in this cold. Service, food, company, ambiance gets a top rating. Do start with the Mezze platter for an authentic Syrian experience. Make sure to come hungry. Multiple seating options. Seats about 100 people - so definitely suitable and ideal for functions (staff or other, etc). Prices are online - surprisingly affordable for the delicious food and experience.

Very poor, slow service. The place was full and I saw only 3 waitresses. The ones we had were pleasant enough but clearly not coping. The place is very cold as well, could do with some heating. Food was good mostly, although some portions were quite small.

I have no idea where the good reviews are coming from to be honest. My husband and I thought we would just try something new and went to Syriana.It was well past the time where everyone breaks their fast, but yet our drinks alone, Basil & Bergamot drink and a strawberry milkshake, took 25 minutes to come. I would also like to say that the B&B drink tasted like normal dry lemon, so nothing special.We eventually, after 40 minutes, got our food which turned out to be a really small pizza. It honestly tasted like bread with too much garlic, some cheese and extremely bland lamb. For R140 I find that is a complete rip-off.But to top that all off, we discovered a small, solid silver strand in the pizza. We can only assume that its steel wool.Given that the service was basically non-existent and the drinks and food took so long PLUS a foreign object in my food, I would not return there at all.At least we were then not charged for the food and could spend that on meals at McDonalds...

Went here for the first time last night after a friend recommended it and ordered Falafel shawarma but they didnt have then opted for the Falafel wrap which was ok but didnt come with chips and is more expensive than than my original choice of shawarma with chips. Paid extra for chips because I really wanted a meal. Syrian coffee as a beverage for my friend who went with me, but it was too strong, no milk with it and had to ask for that separately. He ended up not drinking the coffee and sharing my small pot of Rooibos tea. What they did do, was put on the heater for us as their was a chill in the air and because my friend ate, he just pecked at the wrap and chips I shared with him. It was his humor and interaction with me that gave the restaurant an enjoyment afterwards.

Food took ages to arrive, and arrive 1 at a time with about at least 10min between meals. So when the last meal arrived, the 1st 2 people were done eating.Also - the quality of food has deteriorated as well, it has become mediocre. So not worth the money. I used to be a regular at the old venue and the food was superb. Now, mediocre at best! I has smoked rice but it was definitely not smoked. It was literally unsweetened yellow rice with 12 sultanas and 1 cashew. Syriana, this was literally the last time i visit your establishment.

Ive been to Syriana a few times now. My favorite restaurant in Cape Town. Love the new location. Love taking friends and family there. Great place to relax and unwind, enjoy GREAT food and the Shisha is the BEST. The owners always go above and beyond to give you the best service and experience. Highly highly recommended, a Gem in Cape Town.

The food was absolutely awesome..unbelievable ambience despite being in covid times..the taste of each foods ordered was authenticHummus/ muttabal/ falafel n of course the breads ...Manoosh was simply delicious..a meal most fulfilling 😋.

Syriana restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! They manner in which you are treated when you step into the restaurant is nothing short of royalty. So much effort and passion is put into making your time spent worthwhile. It has definitely become my home away from home and the level of service and standard has not dropped but instead went up a notch. The owners really make sure the customer’s needs are fulfilled. Keep up the outstanding work and your business will definitely stay thriving.

Lekker man this place really made our day. The food is amazing, the waitress ladies do a really good job and your prices are reasonable too. Nice location too. Maybe add a few hookah seating areas. We are definitely coming back.

Very bad service. Arrived at 8, order placed by 8.20Starters took an hour to come out, in drips and drabs. Half the tables meals came at 9.50. Food arrived cold. The rest of the tables food arrived loong after 10. Half of the group finished eating and the other hadnt even received their meals. Wait staff very unhelpful. Wouldnt come back.

I love the food, Shish tawook is my dish and they serve a refreshing drink called Polo which consist of lemon and mint, soups are delicious and value for money

Horrendous. Definitely wont be back. Waited over and hour for the most simplest dish. The kitchen was in chaos, the manager was the cook. Patrons sitting around us started complaining when we complained. The couple next to us waited almost 2 hours for their meal. Never again.

Made a reservation and when I came there, it was full, there was no ventilation, our waitress came after 20 MINUTES OF WAITING and our food took AN HOUR AND A HALF. Im seriously disappointed, I wanted to leave before the food came.Hope you can do better in the future because your restaurant could seriously loose business.

Food is pricey for portion size given but its tasty and unique. Had smoking and non smoking area seperately. They moved from their old spot to the new location on Google.

The food is good no doubt, but the level of service has dropped drastically.When they tables are almost full, and if you walk in through the door, they couldnt give a damn on getting you a table, or even if you do get a table, they will not service you.Talking from experience.Hard Pass.👎
