Such a great medical facility! Stayed for a week after my spinal surgery as well as visiting for my wifes pregnancy and every member of thr staff has been top notch! So friendly, welcoming and warm. Noone really wants to have to spend time in a hospital, but if you have to, this isnone if the best Ive been to! Thank you!

Went here due to an emergency and was helped, after perfunctory screening, immediately, and my son was able to complete the required documentation. The service was reasonably quick and the staff very professional and knowledgeable, as is to be expected, and friendly,.as well, wich is not.always the case at these institutions.

My mom was in this hospital for almost a week and due to Covid there was no visitation. I phoned daily to find out how my mom was doing and to speak to her. The feedback that I received was not sufficient for me to feel comfortable that she was being cared for properly. My mom would initally be discharged on Thursday, but I was advised by one of the nurses that the doctor wants a psychiatrist to see my mom as it seemed that she might be hallucinating (based on telephonic conversations I had with my mom) and I was advised that he would not be discharging her. On Friday I got a phone call advising me that my mom would be discharged and when I asked whether a psychatrist has been to see her I was told no psychiatrist was by her. I went to fetch her and after waiting for 20 minutes she was brought out by nursing staff and a porter without a mask. I then took her home and when I unpacked all her stuff I noted that a full box of medication (her months stock) was not with her stuff. I then phoned and dpoke to a nurse at the hospital who advised that they forgot to pack it in and I had to drive back to go fetch it. Absolutely pathetic service.

Medi-Clinic has been my go-to hospital for almost 30 years. Admitted yesterday and discharged today, and having been in hospitals in America, this hospital, its doctors, nurses and other multi disciplinary staff are extremely well trained. They are professional, kind and attentive. Well done to all their. As a side note, and knowing that this is a hospital and not a hotel, MCG may consider upgrading parts of the wards. USB ports and two point plugs will also help a lot.

Some staff are friendly and helpful but not all, processes take very long, if you are booked in at 3PM you will more than likely only make it out at 11PM or 12PM. Process really needs to be faster this is a Hospital not an old age home. Staging/prep area needs more space, you should not get an elbow to the head (from next door) while sitting and waiting with the patient. New parking area is helpful but far away, better than no parking.

Was taken to Mediclinic Durbanville on Sunday 17 November with bad food poisoning. A trainee named Charles impressed me immensely, as he and was so friendly and helpful. Even when I was puking and miserable. I really think he should be promoted from a trainee position 😊My daughter and husband where with me and they agree that he was awesome.Corrie Stevens

Food was excellent, and probably better than in some restaurants.I have read some of the negative comments and really find it strange if I compare it to my experience I have seen them work under really difficult circumstance and not once did they falterI say thank you you are world class

Very nice emergency unit. One can never help for the fact that there will be a waiting period, thats to be expected. What I appreciate is the kindness, helpfulness and respect I have received from the doctors on call when Ive had to go there. I can at least vouch for the doctors at the emergency unit.

My daughter was submitted to Mediclinic Durbanville in the early hours of the morning last week. The staff in the ER was very professional, yet concerning of our situation and made us feel comfortable. She was then submitted to hospital and stayed for 2 nights in the pediatric ward. I am happy to say that we got excellent service and felt not just well taken care of, but also welcome.Thank you for helping us through a difficult time. We will surely recommend you to everyone we speak to.

The worst experience that i ever had in a mediclinic. Its winter they give me what seems like a sheet to sleep under.I am freezing the whole night through. I phoned front desk to tell them that this is what i got in the pediatric ward, the lady ask me why am i phoning them. We have to pay alot of money at this hospital just to get the same treatment you would get at a public hospital. The nurses at the pediatric ward is so unfriendly. Really disappointed in mediclinic, thought they had the same standards all over. This is just pathetic.

Ive been admitted 3 times here for operations and I only got the best possible service from reception to the ward and theatre and back until the time of discharge. My wife had our second child here and my son has been to casualties at least 5 times. Always top class service. I have worked in more than 20 different hospitals including the U.K. and I can tell you if something should happen to me or my family I would want to be treated in Durbanville Medi-Clinic.

Attended casualty with my 8 year old daugther. She was in a lot of pain. Staff in admission was fairly casual therefore the 4/5- but the assessment and treatment from doctor ( Dr.van Niekerk) was professional, gentle and attentive. I even received a follow up phone call the next morning. I realise hospital visits can be stressful but on this occasion I endorse my experience in emergency department and can only wish other people in attendance the same experience.

Review №40

What utter pathetic service. I waited for almost 2 hours to be attended to in the emergency unit, only to be told that there was another 2 hour waiting period as the ONE doctor who was on call still had to see to patients at the back. I went in with a pain on my right side. Im currently 19 weeks pregnant and I had to wait for over 2 hours to be assisted by the sister who does the pre-screening and still have not seen a doctor. What is the point of having an emergency unit when it defeats the purpose to only be attended to after 2 hours. Durbanville medi-clinic works on a first come, first serve basis! Take a page out of the Life Hospitals handbook and use a colour coded pre-screening order with green being reasonable and red being severe. And to top it all off, the sisters are extremely unprofessional. Discussing patients at reception whilst the waiting room is busy. Well done Medi-clinic Durbanville on your atrocious customer service.

My 14yr old type 1 diabetic is currently in hospital, service at ward B is absolutely poor, her meds were only administered after 10 this morning. ,should be at 6 am, like we will do it at home. I had to phone and make a scene and to get attention. I had to use my own tuppperware bowl for her to vomit in, i had to ask for water twice for her to drink her tablets. The staff;s attitude is horrific , the ward manager tells me there is 36 other patients and her medication should be administered at 9am this morning, but 9am came and go. Untill i phoned then it was only given. I pay for a service and expect to get it,!
