Great food and great service
Had the most confusing and disappointing experience here. The staff didnt seem to have any sort of idea what I or my partner were saying to them (were both native English speakers, so I doubt it was an accent problem). It took me about two minutes to explain to the waitress that I wanted a brisket sandwich on rye (it was on the menu but she was acting like shed never even heard of it before).I also asked for a lime & ginger iced tea and she responded as if I was asking her some sort of bizarre favour. My boyfriend asked her if were supposed to get the drinks from the fridge ourselves (wed be happy to do so), but she just sighed and said its fine... then brought me an apple flavour Bos (there was plenty of lime & ginger flavour in the fridge, so I dunno, how does lime and ginger sound like apple?).Every time we asked for something shed ask us to repeat ourselves, and basically looked at us like as if we had two heads. What was supposed to be a relaxing Sunday lunch ended up being a really hard and tiring experience. As for the food: when my sandwich arrived it was a lot smaller than Id anticipated. The bread was really small and there was barely any meat on it, it was like the little sandwiches you get on a wedding buffet. Luckily Id ordered a side of chips because I was absolutely ravenous.Anyway, I left hungry (Id skipped breakfast this morning because I was so excited about coming here) and feeling like a bit of a schmuck after the way the waiting staff treated me. :(
Fantastic service, friendly & helpful. Yummiest samosas & artisan breads (esp their olive ciabatta with the Goldies hummus). We have ordered their chocolate cakes for work functions (75+ ppl) for years- eaten up to the last crumb. Highly recommended.
Always went to this place for their baked goods. The items they sell are all Kosher. They have one of the best bakeries in the Sea Point area though.
The best hummus in town! Amazing, friendly staff and owners. I wish that I could eat here every day!
Love the chicken soup!
Great place to stop and buy Kosher food, ready made. Staff are very friendly. Service is very good.
Excellent kosher spot on the Main street. Love their sammies, and of course, pickles! Sometime you need to wait, so be patient...
