Great cyclist stop with lovely food, coffee and ice cream. Dedicated bicycle parking area. They have a little market where you can buy staples, wine, craft beer, etc which should be very useful when staying in Scarborough and surrounds.
This is a regular stop for great coffee and Chai Latte en route when cycling. Its also a favourite food and shopping stop for my guests traveling from all over, along our Cape Peninsula tour. Great food, service, organic deli, and people like owners Ivan and Lisa! A must do.
Really cool place to be found in the Deep South. It is a deli, a cafe, ice cream parlor, grocer, winery, and even has mushroom biltong. It is dog friendly and the outside area is covered and spacious enough for social distancing. They have a variety of craft beers. We ordered the lost coconut and it was great. The pizza was shared between two adults and two hours later I can still remember the flavours. We had the witsands pizza. Really good. Toilets are clean and well maintained. The staff very friendly and the owner even had time to come give our doggies some treats. We will be back
Local produce, farmstall feel, helpful staff, fresh food and takeaways.
Good place for breakfast if you love natural things...
Great meeting place for like minded people who are eco conscious, eclectic, bohemian and seek sustainability in their lives.
Good vibe. Friendly service. Delicious food.
We found this gem whilst looking for another. This pleasant surprise find is a treat for all those looking for healthy, tasty, organic and sustainable food. From groceries and fresh produce to home/personal care and meals, Forages is worth the scenic drive. Dont forget to try one of their yummy fresh squeeze juices whilst you there.
Amazing! One of the best Ossobuco i ever had! Wonderful, authentic service!
Cool vibes and decor and great food. Mediterranean chicken wrap is good. Some nice beer.Staff in the shop area could do with some slight etiquette lessons, like pushing past customers without saying excuse me, etc.
Great place to stop for a meal, a snack, or just a great ice cream cone.
Awesome breakfast best ciabatta....great little deli finds....a treasure in Scarborough. Support local. The owner was amazing!!!!!!
Really nice setting and combination of different eating styles , all there all good
Really poor service... Waited and was sent from person to person. Eventually I was told that no takeaways were permitted on account of it being busy... Would have been helpful if this was put on a sign upon entering the shop.
Upstairs is a large, airy balcony with comfy couches and glimpse of the ocean: the perfect place to enjoy a summer lunch in the Cape. The menu isnt packed with options, but theres enough to satisfy a variety of tastes. The burger I had was really tasty with a good helping of hand cut fries and a side salad that wasnt just an afterthought. The iced coffee comes in a small glass, but its strong and rich - one of the best Ive ever had.
Great coffee....excellent service and a super fresh yummy croissant!!! See ya soon.
Fantastic café. The pain au chocolat and chocolate twists are delicious!
Devils peak & grilled calamari - absolutely delicious.
Great staff, good food, nice environment, a place to relax and recharge ones soul
Very good cappuccinos and very nice staff. Quick stop or sit down meal
Great Pizza. Gluten free options. Excellent tacos. Would not think twice and visit again next time when Im around. Highly recommend 🙏🏼
Good vibes, nice shop, cafe and restaurant. Cafe has good coffee and baked goodies as well as a couple of vegan options which are tastt. Restaurant is decent but sadly no vegan options last outing.
Excellent coffee and pastries 🥧
The pizza I ordered was by far one of the best thin crust pizzas Ive had for a long time! Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately no WiFi/internet, as this is often the case in SA restaurants and bars... I think, nowadays, owners should be aware that a lot of customers pick their restaurant or bar by the WiFi offered... Especially tourists and travelers who dont have a local data simcard. But despite that, great place for thin crust, crispy pizza!
Great food! Great staff! Awesome view to the ocean. Love the decor 🏄♂️
Nice beers and food
All round 10Amazing spot.Great food product (organic) and restaurant above.
Awesome coffee stop with great coffee & snacks. Best place to stop for a coffee when cycling through Misty Cliffs
Great little coffee shop in the same building which opens earlier than The Hub. For those early morning cycle rides
Picturesque shops with a variety of goods, great service and good tasting carrot cake look forward to visiting again.
Always a good experience
Great little shop with interesting items to purchase
Darling and I started 2020 on a blissful culinary note by heading to The Hub Café in Scarborough - a favourite meeting spot when were down that way. I had a bocconcini salad with deliciously dressed leaves and a generous bowl of steamed edamame beans on the side. Darling tucked into a home-made burger and wedges, complemented with my avo on the side (yuk). The Café chef is genius; the restaurant is family-, couple-, cyclist-, basically everyone-friendly. The wine is chilled and the service cheerfully slick - and on the way out we bought heavenly ice-cream cones to savour as we admired the views on the way back to Kommetjie.
Lovely country style organic store and more.
Watched the hub grow from nothing to what it is today - a community based home away from home. Amazing coffee, fresh croissant, Kefir (yum) and the best ice cream there is!
Awesome place to stop, even if its just to grab a pastry and coffee on your way to explore the southern Cape Point
Friendly service and wholesome food. Would definitely recommend the coffee milkshake.
First time we visited there today as their ice cream was recommended... it was deelish & The Village Hub certainly appears to have everything anyone could possibly look for, especially on the health side
Friendly staff. Great service. Unusual products. A bit expensive. green conscious
Awesome secret spot for a coffee or lunch.
I would say from my personal experience that i will not go backMyself and my husband and our friends from Port Elizabeth made a stop hereWe went in to check menu out and well they were busy i went to the loo. When i come back the whole staff of the place was looking for me and i heard the one said they were 5 the other one still inside. The lady literally called the staff member from upstairs to look for me. When i come to the exit my husband told me lets rather go cause the people acting like we going to rob the place cause they were also crossed question. Till today i dont know what it was. Maby they dont get group customers.
Interesting little shop with lots of healthy treats including water kefir and kombucha. There is also bakery, cafe and restaurant, which left a good impression, except that the portion size of the meals could have been bigger. Moreover, I was looked at strangely when returning a bag of licorice due to the contained gluten as I am gluten intolerant. Would have hoped for a bit more forthcoming treatment.
Great place to get breakfast or some produce at the shop below. I had a delicious breakfast wrap (best I have ever had) and on a separate day, a tasty coconut flour muffin fresh out the oven (literally). Has a great atmosphere on the weekend!
Lekker atmosphere and good food. Also really nice healthy fresh juice.
Lovely place in great village on the beach
Great venue, tasty meals, coffees and desert ice creams. Friendly staff, upstairs seating if required.
Excellent place to stop and have coffee and breakfast... Lovely seating area and great service
Cute shop and restaurant with quaint farmstead products. Fantastic icecream. Not halaal or even halaal friendly, so no chance of sitting down for food.
Lovely restaurant and the food is excellent. I have eaten there a number of times when I have been on my own and had great service. Very disappointed to learn that the restaurant does not support guide dogs in training for the blind as I would love to have continued my support.Very happy to hear this was a misunderstanding. Thank you for your prompt response and resolving the issue. Love your restaurant and will definitely be returning.
Excellent home made pies and wheat free vegan friendly crunchies!
R185 for a cold piece of steak. After an extremely rude experience with the manager. I decided to have a glass of wine and survey the menu. Ahh chef special. I shell have the steak and prawns yum! The shock of the evening wasnt just the meal but the manager approached to solve the problem of the meal. Cold very well done steak of only three small pieces. Iv eaten here before and had excellent food and excellent vibes tonight unfortunately was a expensive nightmare. I fear the cold prawns will food poison and i shell pop by in the morning to relieve myself of the cold meal that costed R185.
Good food!! Friendly staff!! Very relaxing atmosphere!!
Clean and nice to shop at
Hugely disappointed in our experience today. Having initially gone to the Scone Shack as we had all missed breakfast in order to enjoy their legendary scones. 35 minutes of waiting to even place an order (they had not anticipated the numbers of people out to enjoy what Cape Town had to offer on a public holiday and were seriously under staffed), caused us to give up and head for The Village Hub. By now it was close to lunch time but all 3 of us still wanted scones! I took the precaution of asking one of your staff if scones were available before we sat down. We were assured we could have scones so placed our order for 3 scones and 3 hot drinks. Only when the hot drinks were placed in front of us were we informed there was ONLY ONE Scone available. By now we were beyond hungry so without even looking at the menu, 2 of us agreed to settle for croissants with jam and cheese. Drinks were long finished by the time these arrived so the whole experience of enjoying a coffee and scone/croissant was lost. But then to find we had been charged R20 per croissant PLUS R8 for jam and R20 each for a pile of very ordinary grated cheese was just the final nail in the coffin of what should have been a lovely family day out. Just feel so let down and we are not people with a lot of money to spend so just feel so let down and ripped off. Brenda Field Tokai
First visit to Scarbougher... very impressed with Village Hub Restaurant !!
Superb food, quality, flavour and presentation
Ate breakfast downstairs, dinner upstairs, and shopped at the market for a few items to stock in our AirBnb. Great experience and delicious food all around.
Service was good, pizzas have awesome toppings.
Great coffee, fresh produce. Chef Dylan and his amazing food, offering great meals and delicious pizza. Chocolate croissant, yes please. Oh and bring your dog ;)
What a great little stop and restaurant. We went mad buying such delicious fresh ingredients. The smoothies and food were delicious and well priced. I would love to come here again some time.
The naked Veggie burger is my absolute best. Full of flavour, the ingredients are fresh and makes healthy eating something to look forward to. Cozy setting and good service makes you come back for more.
Great food, top notch flat white coffee, good value for money
Health food restaurant. Tasty organic food, local beers on tap and a neat food store attached. Probably the best place to stop for food if youre passing through Scarborough. Recommend the pizzas, not the burgers. Salads are top notch.
Great food, great atmosphere, and great service.
Delicious food. Amazing vibe. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Lovely staff. A really nice shop downstairs with lovely organic veggies.
Fancy food. Chefs do a great job. Langoustine starter looked great, pork burgers attractive - pork tender, lamb really curry tasty. Tapas portions. Small. If you are hungry and looking for lots of protein give this place a skip. Youll get protein but veg and carbs dominate. My vegan friend will love it.
Such a great atmosphere here, perfect for families and kids. Great coffee. Just a bit disappointed this year with the menu upstairs, I hope they change it next year as we love going there for a sunset dinner. Cushions would be nice....
What a fabulous place. After the best almond croissant ever eaten and a good, honest coffee, i spent the day in the meeting room. Lunch was delicious topped only by the dinner. Service efficient and friendly. Food wholsome. Vibe groovy.
Wow. Had a booking tonight and no over-excited expectations after having a fair to good breakfast downstairs the morning before. But this was incredible. Springbok Fillet, the Signature Seafood Platter. There‘s no words to it. Everyone on the team is doing her/his best and you can tell from the hospitality, vibe and, of course, the taste.
Hands down The Best burger we have ever had. The portions and quality of ingredients used definitely justify the price point. We recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful meal in a beautiful area.
Ive never eaten at the Hub Cafe but I love getting food at Foragers, which I understandis prepared by Chef Dylan. The refrigerators are stuffed with goodies: Chili con carne, Lamb osso bucco, and if its in stock the Sauerkraut is one my favourites.
Great spot in Scarborough for food, drinks and a deli.
