5 Star service at the MTN kiosk outside Game in Somerset West mall...thank you Garth for all your help and professional service with my upgrade...special thanks also to Salie with your help over 2 days to transfer all Contacts and photos from my old iPhone 11 to my new Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra...special cable was needed...you are an expert on both these phones...much appreciated...good bye iPhone 11...Apple will never see me again...

MTN states if you experience any problems during the first 7 days, you may return the phone and they will replace it with a new one.I returned my phone because it was restarting every hour. It would give a warning that it needed to be restarted and then the phone would restart.I purchased my phone on a sunday and returned the following sunday only to be told it was out of the 7 day period. They would need to send the phone in for repairs.My husband uses the phone for business purposes and he therefore cannot be without a phone. After the Store (Somerset Mall) refused to replace the phone with a new one, I was forced to cancel the contact according to the consumer protection act, which states you can return faulty products within 10 days after the purchase.The consultant then proceeded to cancel the contact, i have signed paperwork.2 Weeks later the store calls me to enquire when I will be collecting my phone. I explained, that the contact has been cancelled and gave the name of the consultant who processed the cancellation and the date of signature.A week later the store manager phones me to explain that the cancellation is not valid and they can send the phone in and if it is in good condition then they will replace the phone with a new one. I refused for the phone to be sent away and insisted on the cancellation because i returned the phone within 7 days as per their requirements and furthermore within 10 days as per the consumer protection act.A week later the store manager calls again to advise me i need to collect the phone because the cancellation is not valid. I advised her that i will not be collecting the phone and i will reverse any debit orders which will go off the account. Furthermore i have 2 contracts and the debit order for both contacts goes off the 1 amount therefor they wont be receiving payment of any of my contracts. The manager advised me thats okay but i need to collect my phone.I have made various calls to various departments, i have been directed to contact the store and i have explained that the store is not helpful in sorting out this issue. The consultants have expressed their concerns about the stores errors in replacing the phone and / or cancelling the contracts but unfortunately they cannot assist me and either refer me to the store or transfer me through to the next department.I was advised i should email the customer complaints, which i was guarantee i would get assistance from however the issue is still not resolved and i havent had feedback.My last option is now to proceed to small claims court.

Poor service and total incompetence from the Somerset Mall MTN staff. Incorrect instructions given that led to another two days wasted time; promises to send me critical info was never sent; a second visit to the store to try and get proper assistance led to more wrong assistance; a phone number given to me to escalate the situation was the wrong number - again, MTN staff failed to provide a basic service. Wow. The incompetence is astounding.

Had to wait long. Was not helped because the advertised deal was not on the system. Still waiting for this deal to be loaded in the system even today. It has been 2 weeks. Worse, no one is updating me on what is happening. Ethan who helped me on the day, is not taking my calls, not responding to emails and not even WhatsApp.

I own property 2 businesses and cars yet since March 2020 I have been unable to qualify for a contract with you just for the mere fact that I want to keep my original number and MTN cannot perform a port???? Since March, it has been 6months....... Words fail to describe how pathetic this is!

Service is always poor, every time I go to your store in Somerset Mall service is extremely poor and slow staff not friendly. got to your store at 18:40 and was told that I cant pay my account because your shop is closed I mean at 18:40?! you dont pick up your phone always cut calls.

If I could a minus star I would...the customer service is really lacking and was it not for the great service of Panama in Strand branch, you would have lost a loyal customer of over 20 years. My suggestion would be is to train all the staff in correct ways of dealing with people in all walks of life and maybe just go the ekstra mile to ensure that a smile costs nothing and great customer service is the way forward.

Just went there 2 weeks ago to upgrade after 2 years. Daniel assisted me and I had my new phone in my hands in seconds.After 2 weeks my data still wasnt in on my sim card but through those weeks Daniel was very helpful.Today my data is in and I am a happy customer. Thank you Daniel !

Ive not been successful calling the store, Ive tried for 2 weeks. Not once has anyone picked up.Update, not much has changed. Horrible staff during week. Bad attitudes and very unhelpful. The store deserves its ratings. Stay away during the week, only go in on the weekends.

Somerset Mall couldnt activate sim card because there was no Manager in store,they promised to do it the next day after I paid and trusted them ,4 days later no activation and numerous attempts to contact the store,no answer.Call center cannot assist me as well,i need to contact the store.I wont ever ever ever in my life be on MTN again,they delayed my business productive tremendously.PATHETIC SERVICE!

Have to wait forever before somebody helps you. Dont have anything that is advertised in the catalogue. Dont answer the phone. Dont get back to you. Wish I could rate them minus 5 stars for terrible customer service

There are 7 counters, but only 2 are manned. There are other employees in the staff room. No one attending to clients. When you walk in there is no one to help you, show you where to get a number or where to wait in line. Clients waiting and employees no where to be seen. Such bad service. If you plan on coming here remember to put out at least 1 hour for waiting for service.

Mtn pathetic service. Where no one really knows how to solve. Shunned from store to call centre and back. Especially Century city store. Words confound me to describe the atrocity they call service. Not sure staff is the ones to blame. They clearly have a system that knows how to deduct ur money but cant solve problems. Waiting for a sim swap to be done 3 days literary and still not activated. Best provider is they state on their website. Its tantamount fraudulent advertising. If u have a choice stay clear. They good when you no issues. After that u just a number. And another thing today I loaded R15Airtime around past 1 pm and I just made one call only to another one mtn number from the 1 st second of my call they told me I dont have enough airtime and all finished. I taught this things of loosing airtime was finished but still...I went to stellembosh mtn store next to checkers just for SIM swip that ive been using for 13 years but the guy no so frieny bad service ever and I ended up not doing it... secondly I came to Somerset mall Mtn store after driving so far same service the guy rejected me because hes rushing to leave the shop also not friendly at all... Why???

What pathetic service. I handed in a Galaxy Tablet S2 for repairs which I only had for three weeks. The first week I could not use it because I received a duplicate number.Nobody is coming back to me regarding the progress.They are not even answering their phone!!!

Pathetic service. The staff was chilling in the backroom while clients were waiting to be helped, waited for 50minutes while second in the que and ended up walking out without any service. As soon as my contract expires I will be moving to Vodacom or Cell C.
