Great environment, great service although it took time for us to be assigned a waitress but the service was good.Beautiful and amazing scenery of the beach and sunset. Very classy and elegant setup inside the restaurantAmazing and delicious food ππ. I thoroughly enjoyed my prawn pasta π.The place was warm especially since its winter, I particularly love their toilet mirrors πππ.
I just love this venue. The food is good and service professional. Pricing is steep. Virgin cocktails are nothing less than a R100π±.The view is amazing, so I will keep on going back for those special occassions in life. Thank The Bungalow for always making every visit a memorable one.
Bungalow used to be one of the best fine dinning restaurants in Cape town unfortunately i can not say the same for now. I was there yesterday for dinner, trust me we could not even ordered our dessert because of a group of people who were sitting on a centre table , who had no restaurant manors at all. They definitely turned The Bungalow to a PUB yesterday. I understand it was a bigger table and bringing revenue but somehow the manager on duty could have spoken to them or advise them not speak loud and accommodate other paying guests?
The stunning views of the ocean, the top notch service and delicious seafood made this a true wow five-star experience. The long wine list offers all the great classics by glass and by bottle. Itβs served with a side table ice holder.Very excited to try this for restaurant week. The three courses were all very well priced and full sized versions of the a la carte menu. The highlights include the tempura shrimp, the burger, catch of the day and the creme brΓ»lΓ©e.The tempura shrimp had a large portion with 5 huge prawns in a very flavourful well seasoned batter. The sea bass was served with a lovely lemon rice and sauce. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection with very nicely salted skinny fries. The creme brΓ»lΓ©e ended it off so well! Canβt wait to come back.
Our waiter was amazing. The sushi was mouth watering. The sea bass was delicious. Honestly a great experience
We booked online for a table, but were dismissed at the entrance and sent to sit at the bar while tables were clearly empty. A kind waiter (not the concierge) kindly found us a spot to sit by the loungers and she gave us such wonderful service. The spicy sushi is fantastic and its a great place to view the Cape Town Sunset. Really disappointed by the attitude of the concierge, to be dismissed like that even after making an online booking left a sour taste in my mouth. Next time I guess I will book under different names or something, and I cant even say its the dress code because slot of people were casually dressed.
Fantastic establishment. How could it not with such views? Despite this, they back it up with fantastic service, great food and amazing music. This is definitely a keeper of a place!
Food was okay nothing to match the price one would pay, I have been there several times and its a pleasent environment, great for romantic outings or for the family. Also do not have a birthday there they charge R500 to cut your own cake which is understandable taking into account that they sell cake. Overall just the location is beautiful
Took my partner to what I thought was a classy establishment. What you met with is terribly rude, inattentive staff whose only interest is to attend to the conspicuous consumers, and the ambience of a blaring Cubana. If youre looking for a repugnant, elitist scum world, then this is for you! Otherwise, avoid!
The atmosphere is amazing. I loved everything from the decor to the staff uniform. They even provide blankets when its cold, for the patrons. My fav spot
Kinda rude and bad service; despite having a booking they immediately shunned us to another area whilst there was so much space open at the section we booked for. When we asked our waiter if we could move he said it was okay and seeing that was the case, it was rude of the βwelcomingβ staff to not even listen. The drinks were overpriced and quite terrible. But food was good and there was a beautiful view.
I visited The Bungalow earlier this year in March before we had the lockdown, for my partners birthday. We had Dinner. We did arrive late so weather was not great a bit on the cold side. I asked for a blanket which they gave to us. It was middle of the week but place was full. Really great atmosphere, service is good as well. The menu is not extensive, it is a bit pricey (sides orderedseparately). I enjoyed the steak i had!
Ordered sea bass which was very good. For desert a lemon tart with Yoghurt ice cream. Delicious and beautifully presented.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. Breath taking view.
I was happy to be here... Beautiful experience. However the manager did not allow my friends to take pictures
Beautiful place, the food was great. It was a chilly spring day but they made it lively, great service. π definitely coming back
Great scenery, great food, great vibe, great music, great service and great people
The most classy place I have never seen, the food was there was so extremely nice ,the waiters were so goodππππ
Best place in the city! Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service, and an absolutely amazing vibe. Thereβs sometimes a dj on the decks playing some great chilled house vibes. Everyone comes dressed up, which is absolutely amazing to see. There are couches on the one side where you can kick your shoes off and just lounge, they even bring you a fleece if you get old, itβs doesnβt get better than that!
Ja nee... Great location, superb set up, good food... But the place appeals to a certain crowd π€·πΎββοΈ
The setting is beautiful. The outdoor seating area delivers views of the water and the mountains. The decor is everything you expect from Clifton - blues and whites. The seafood is fresh and generous in portion.I was in a very large group (10+ people) and the service was quick but forgetful.I think the Bungalow only deserves 4 stars as there is a definite lack of X factor from the food. It was bland and unimaginative. The price isnt justifiable with the current menu. The lack of personality is consistent from decor to menu.
The best service ive ever seen warm wth the beach view and delicious food ππ
I had an amazing experience here the venue is amazing the cocktails were great and our waiter was very attentive we ended up having a 3 course meal because the service was just that great. The food was truly value for money it tasted lovely. The price is a bit steep but worth it. This is my new sunset spot.
Great place to enjoy some great food and drinks, pair with an awesome beach view
Whilst Im told the food was good the fact that the establishment wanted to charge R500 for my daughter to bring a specially designed birthday cake for 12 school kids, which we therefore declined to do, on the basis that this was a business decision and that we also sell cakes was in very poor taste especially with a not inconsiderable bill of R5500. The object of getting them to therefore buy dessert instead backfired spectacularly as they commendably refused to do so. I would have been happy to donate R500 to charity instead but to pay R500 to eat your own cake is quite frankly shameful no matter what excuses are now tendered in justification hereof.
Fantastic. Enjoyed the food and the view is out of this world. The service was amazing.
Was really relaxing having drinks here! This place is perfectly located with safe parking (R20 parking fee) and decor that just adds to the tranquil relaxed atmosphere. The establishment has an indoor and outdoor restaurant area, and a patio type area with comfy couches if you just want a spot to enjoy drinks with a view of the ocean. Obviously the food is a bit pricey, so dont go here if youβre on a budget. We really enjoyed the afternoon here. Close to Clifton beach No.4 and down the road from Camps Bay. I dont have a photo of the indoor section, but it looks perfect for a romantic dinner date or upmarket dinner for the family.
Lovely atmosphere! View of the ocean and mountains. Club house nearby.
Sophisticated, multicultured, up-class restaurant for all occasions. Ocean views in the heart of Clifton with an ambience second to none. Definitely going back for more π
Perfect relaxing venue for lunch and sundowners while watching the paraglide landing and listening to the chilled mix of the dj π
Very good restaurant with vibrant atmosphere And βCelebrate lifeβ vibe. Menu mainly consists of fish, seafood and multiple sushi options. Relatively good choice of liquor ( not limited to beer and wine). From one side restaurant is overlooking Atlantic Ocean and from another - majestical mountains (12 apostles) with clouds on the top looking like Melting sour cream. Itβs quite windy so I do recommend to take some long sleeves jacket. Good for organizing birthday parties and similar events. WiFi was not working when we visited a place
Top class service. The food is freshly cooked , the waiters are welcoming
Its a very excellent restaurant with a very friendly workers their service is great and their food delicious
Disappointed that they have had no internet for two weeks...ruined my night
Beautiful scenery, good food. Just not 5 stars because the staff was a bit rude, when we were taking pics, they would walk into the shot. No regards for us whatsoever. But overall good service
Absolutely amazing. Although the host completely ignored us, like completely. She did not acknowledge our presence whatsoever and proceeded to greet the white couple behind us. We made reservations, I booked a table. I think they should work on that. The waiter was amazing though and I really enjoyed the food and wine.
It was a beautiful experience , the food was lovely and the atmosphere amazing
Absolutely stunning place. If youβre in or around western cape looking for some fancy and relaxed place for dinner, then I strongly recommend the bungalow. The location and its view is ideal, quality of their products is excellent, the service staff very professional and will do anything to ensure youβre having a wonderful night. Although the room and terrace are quite spacious, Iβd advise to book for a table during weekends as this restaurant can get quite busy.PS : I had a thing for their white wine βFleur du Capβ that I found divine ;)
Great view, great food. AWESOME
Extremely Rude Welcoming and Service. Will never go back.Arrived there requested for a table for 7 we were first asked if we drinking or eating I said that we are going to have a drink as we are waiting for other people to join us, I was then told the place is fully booked which clearly wasnt the case as they were at about 40% capacity told to sit at the bar. Waited about 10 mins at the seating area at the bar, I got up to get our own menus then one of the waiters came past and told us we taking up TO MUCH space can we all sit together him not knowing we are waiting for 3 more people to join us. At this point I decided for us to rather leave and go elsewhere. Will never go back nor recommend anyone to go there.
The worse service, we were rushed to get out of our table. The food not so great
If youre looking for elegance and class, this is the place to be
Its a restaurant that is facing the sea and having all parameters to make him one of the best restaurant in Cape Town they have outstanding taste for all kind of food and drinks their menu is full with all kind of starter salad and main dishes they have all kind of food with the best taste that you will taste in a place with the best view in Cape Town
Enjoy the beautiful sunset with an exceptional seafood platter and a bottle of wine. Great service.
It was a really good experience. I was there for a friends birthday and we had an awesome time.
Lovely cozy restaurant, which has different atmosphers to it. You decide whether you wanna be elegant and dine inside or casual and enjoy the outside chilled sitting. They dont serve pasta though π
Amazing food! Awesome service! A must visit!
Excellent place! Great food! I love the service too!
Wonderful restaurant nice food nice staff and friendly atmosphere under the mountains and facing beautiful beaches β±
One of the best restaurants I have been in cape town
I just love this place. Incredible food, service, ambiance and people.Very well managed with a great service team. Good value for money.
Love this place, everytime Im in love with Cape Town I always visit!Ps please get bigger Stella Artois Draughts a nice pint size, then were good to go ππ½
The food and service was superb! Incredible view of the ocean and a very relaxed atmosphere. Can highly recommend this restaurant if you feel like spoiling someone special.
Great restaurant and bar in Clifton with a stunning view of the sea and mountains.Perfect for sundowners whilst watching the paragliders sail from Lions Head to land in front of the restaurant as the sun sets over the Atlantic Ocean. This of course followed by a lovely meal. All accompanied with friendly efficient service.
Amazing ambience and setting.Music is played at a comfortable volume and itβs a great place to have laid back chats without screaming at each other.
Great food and a perfect spot to watch the sunset, what more could you ask for
Go there for the view only. Service is good. Location amazing. However the day to day food is canteen basic and something you can do better at home, was too plain (canβt speak for the seafood though) - For me the chicken and fish ordered were not on level of restaurant quality. The liquor is extremely overpriced, exorbitant.
Nice atmosphere, the food is not bad, a little pricey for what you get. We went on a rather cold and windy evening so cannot speak much about the location and view. The staff was very nice.
The food was amazing, great place. Soso was our waiter, horrible. We did not have drinks most of the time. Our order was taken late. We got hungry waiting for our food. I donβt know what we did to her but she was rude when taking our order. At some point the lady, I think handles table booking, wanted the table because we had nothing but n front of us but we still wanted to order more food and drinks.
Its a beautiful place, has an amazing view of the ocean. Its a picture perfect place π awesome setting π
Nice view with awful food and poor service. The location is amazing and the views are stunning. They give us a table inside the restaurant. It was hot as hell. We requested to turn the AC on, but they didnt. They brought the wrong order, let on the table and came 5 minutes later to take it back. Our food has too much pepper, even for me that like spicy food. After we finished the meal, they brought a fan, but we were just leaving.I do NOT recommend. You can have better experiences with the same price.
Great food, great service, love it
Nice view nice food and drink the best location of the bay
