The goats cheese salad is the best thing Ive ever eaten. They serve decent sized portions of starters , if youre a light eater , a starter is enough, their mains are also quite nicely sized. You do get your moneys worth . The vibe was great , its relatuvely sound proof, which is great because the road outside can be so noisy . The staff were exceptionally friendly, the atmosphere is great too.
This is just about the best lunch/dinner joint on the camps bay strip. Great food👌🏾Best the Cape can offer.
Awesome setting. Generally I think the food could be more in line with the pricing However the fish I had was really good. My daughter ranted about their milkshake tho!
Had such a lovely experience at Paranga, the food was divine, the service excellent and the view, absolutely breathtaking.Tried out their new mocktail- and it was so refreshing. Brenton our waiter was such a great sport and recommended the most amazing fried squidhead for starters......best Ive ever had really.. That aioli sauce was everything..... Definitely plan on coming back.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent view, food great and staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again 😃
My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday and had the most wonderful experience. We had Sushi to start, which was amazing, the Sirloin, Grilled Chicken for mains as well as Rocky Road for dessert. From the welcome at the door to the moment we paid, the overall experience and atmosphere is unbelievable and definitely worth every penny!
No social distancing practiced and people walking around without masks. Will never go back again for fear of my life.
Not at all what we expected. The fries tasted like they were made from a frozen bag purchased in the supermarket and they charged us 600 rands for 5 langostines (the menu stated market price but I believe they noticed we were tourists and overcharged us). The only nice thing is the view.
Best see food if you are in Cape Town. The see food platter is the best to have with friends TRY IT
Love this place and possibly 3 stars is a bit harsh. It really is great food and excellent service. I usually make a stop here as I did today for my seafood.Ordered my favourite seafood platter among many other items on the menu. My waiter was very professional as he informed me that it is made to order and may take a while (as good food should). Was extremely disappointed that my sea bass had bones in the fillet. It is dangerous because people would expect better from this establishment (also given the time to make fresh food to order). My waiter was also professional enough to explain it was pre-ordered from a 3rd party. That is not an excuse for the chef and it shouldnt have to be.In summary, I do not mind paying a premium for excellent service. It is why I go here. You can do better guys!
Amazing staff and food! Friendly efficient service
Great ambience, service. Mostly seafood on the menu
Used to be my favorite haunt: Reinvigorating sunrises and delicious sunsets.Five years later, it has the best Sea Bass I have ever had in my life. Couple that with the Molten Chocolate dessert and I am ready to say Paranga is special again.
Was there with my family recently. Great food, great staff and nice place. Well done, world class.
Service couldve been better, our waiter lacked patience but the food was amazing. The sushi was very fresh.
Service greatViews greatSettings and decor greatMenu varietyExtremely overpriced for what you get:300 for mediocre portion of grilled fish and155 for a dead average burger. The price is far above what you get. Still good food but overpriced .
I loved Paranga ❤️excellent food... Good vibes... Great wine... Service was good... 👌
Food was excellent, the Manager on duty on day of booking agreed to us bringing our own cake to celebrate a birthday party for no charge, yet on day of thr party a different manager refused to honor the agreement, made our experience soured. Rude and lacked customer service, have been coming here for 15 years, ssd to state he has successfully chased away my business may I add he was arguing about a R400 charge whilst the table spent close to R10k on the night.
Value for money not good, you pay for something you can get at a sub par restaurant for a third of the price! Not a fine dining experience at all. Even though the price suggests a michelin star!View is good, nice interior and good service.
I love seafood and try out seafood in every city I visit and this restaurant has the best baby kingclip Ive had ANYWHERE. The staff are also very friendly and jovial and quick to recommend shots.
Good service and food, a little pricey but thats Cape Town.. still catering for foreign wallets..
Baby squid and Salmon was absolutely phenomenal. Service was impeccable. Thank you to Joyce for the superb customer centric service. Coffee was average sadly 😪
Steps from the beachGreat menu and the chefs specials are excellent to pic.Restaurant staff can pair a good wine with your meal and you can enjoy intimate setting
I use to love this birthplace of the Kove group, yet it seems like they are dropping the ball. Probably one of the most expensive restaurants and for that you expect the best. We were a whole group with a massive bill and very dry chicken, bad wifi and what I do appreciate is when a restaurant doesn’t have your choice of wine that at least they allow for you to bring your own and charge corkage. Needless to say they don’t allow for that but rather try to push more bottles on you, chasing the buck instead of customer experience & service
Great service and atmosphere.
Great food, views and drinks but I hated the way I was treated by the waiters and waitresses. When I arrived at the restaurant my battery was dead and when I asked a hostess/waitress if she could charge my phone for me she started sizing me down, she was extremely hesitant and said we should ask the waiter/waitress were gonna be allocated. When she left I decided to ask another waiter passing by and he said he is going to check if there is a spot in the charging bay for me to charge my phone - we were in the restaurant for more than two hours - , I never saw the charging bay waiter again. Finally our waitress arrives and when I ask her she says they dont charge devices (which I doubt very much, why didnt they all have the same response?) The service was horrible and I felt like I was being done a favour although Im a paying customer. Im sure people get better treatment at feeding schemes.
Great location, atmosphere and view of the beach. Attentive service. Food was good but pricey.
Paranga was amazeballs as always, theyve never disappointed in the few times Ive gone. The ambience is 👌The waitors are dressed beautifully and comfortably to match the setting, they too are respectful and courteous. Their food is on point 👌 as we selected the prawn tempura starter and we decided to repeat it because it was just so divine 😋 Sadly we had to leave exactly at 10pm due to lockdown curfew, otherwise all was phashash at Paranga 😍💃🌻
Really lovely vibey sights n sounds food looked great chicken sadly dry ..over cooked but managment sorted it out 👏👏
A bit overpriced for the some of the ordinary dishes like the lamb cutlets which were a bit charred for my liking
Excellent service, delectable food (try their Eggs Benedict for breakfast!) and a great outside setting- on the vibey Camps Bay Beach Road, definitely a must!
Was nice but empty.
We always go to Paranga restuarant.Awesome service and food is always excellent. Will always go back.
We had a great breakfast
Great place to have a relaxing meal. The food is quite good. Some days the service is meh, other days it is really great.
Amazing foodPlace is a bit pricey but worth it for ever dollar and rand I spent
Expensive overpriced for not very good food, Sole and kingklip overcooked, 3 scallops in a bowl of sweetcorn @ more than R100 each. Lobster tails and chips were also overcooked and in excess of R200 per piece. Frozen French fries cold and the service was not particularly friendly and overall a very underwhelming experience at exorbitant prices.
Excellent service and great food. Attention to detail. Fresh and exciting menu
The waitors were smartly dressed. The food is excellent. The sunset over ths beach, was the welcoming bonus!!
Good value winter menu, Friendly and professional service. Waiters pleasantly adhering to masks that cover mouth and nose.
Very cozy on a dull winters day.
Paranga offers a great breakfast and lunch menu... the eggs Benedict with bacon and sushi options are awesome. Even some of the champagne comes with a great message ( pictured below). Oh and I hear the cappuccinos are delicious! Staff is friendly and the view of the beach is fantastic. Because of its fabulousness, you want to get there early or make reservations, it can fill up quickly. Ill definitely be back to visit.
It won’t disappoint! The establishment is a lot better looking than its rivals alongside it.The service was the stand out, our waiter was exceptional. 6 star!Fillet on the bone was cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce phenomenal.Pricing is what you’d expect, not cheap but it was worth what we paid and enjoyable overall. The views are unreal too and overall somewhere anyone not sure where to eat here will look back on favourably.
Its a wonderful place the people are very friendly quality service
Great food and service, vegetarian options. Bit pricey
Amazing food, both lamb and seafood😍😍my favourite restaurant by the beach
Delicious fish - being part of the the same group as Zenzero and others of course one won’t be disappointed by their menu and delicious offering with a scenic views of Camps Bay
Unmarket restaurant which is reflected in the pricing. Food not bad pricing but wine is more expensive than regular prices. Reasonable selection of standard dishes with some more exotic dishes which may or may not be to your choice. Nice clean restaurant with friendly staff.
Great ambience. Great service. Great food.
Always good..... great service and excellent food
Very disappointing meal. The look and vibe of the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for, but the food was disappointing, and therefore over-priced for what you actually get. If you dont eat fish, you are very limited for a starter option, and no vegan option. Overall, the menu promised more than it delivered. The steak that one of us ordered was very small and completely over-cooked (it was ordered medium). Food lacked taste and presentation was average. The service wasnt brilliant either - food came quickly enough, but the waiters passed you your plate instead of putting it down, and we had to ask for the table to be cleared - not what youd expect at a more classy, expensive restaurant. Despite booking almost 2 weeks in advance, and dining at 6h30pm, they would not give us the table we requested, despite it not being busy at that time. On the drinks side, there was a wide variety available, and the cocktails were nice. The best part of the meal was probably dessert which there were no complaints. We have been to far better restaurants for similar prices - definitely not worth the money!
Took my family oyt for breakfast during Christmas vac. We are pretty much food critics even tho we are foodies. And the kids loved everything. The staff catered for their every whim.
Great experience service music ambiance thank you so much
Ridiculous expensive for what you get. Nice vibe and great location
Spent a wonderful NYE here and couldnt have had a more lovely time. The food was delicious, staff so friendly and helpful and also great dancers! The champagne was flowing, dancefloor full and it was a lovely way to welcome 2020. Thank you Paranga!
Vibes & levels. Food was absolutely delicious 😋
The steak here was absolutely top notch. I had the chefs special. A fillet bone in served in a simple manner. The steak was tender and delicious. I highly recommend this if you enjoy a great steak.
