Had a lovely experience, the food was amazing, the restaurant is cosy and the waiters and manager are attentive and friendly. The pudding is definitely the best one i have had.

Out of the world sunset views, top notch service and well balanced food. We came for their winter set menu and it was so worth it. Decently priced for 2 or 3 courses.The lamb arancini was so nicely flavoured with a delicate crisp on the outside. Prawns were wrapped in a crunchy exterior and the chilli sauce was freshly made in house. Rump steak was undercooked but nothing that can’t be fixed.But the star of the shows were the desserts! One of the best cream brûlée’s I have ever had. The balance of the sweetness from the strawberry compote and the crunch from the cookie made it something I still crave. The date pudding was shockingly good. Not too sweet and a surprise since I’m not usually a big fan of dates.Pro tip: call for a reservation to avoid the dine plan app charge.

The food was amazing, the vibe rocked, other patrons classy and elegant. Had a good time with family and friends but the only downside was the waiter who wa s handling us was impatient and not payed attention to our table. And funny enough even after a generous tip, there was no gratitude shown but besides that we had a lovely evening. Thank you chef/s...

Warm welcome, nicely decorated with a small fireplace and view and great food (a nice surprise to us). The prices are high even compared to fine dining places. The manager cares about the place and the guests.

Covid 19 protocols were strictly observed here.The view here is epic since its just by the beach at camps bay.Very serene and relaxing environment .Enjoyed my meal here except the beef could have been a lot tender. The waiter was the best, helpful in making a choice of meal and very friendly.The lemongrace and apple G&T cocktail was the best Ive had in days but the ruby red grape margarita was difficult to drink.PS; it is not cheap.

Went to Bilboa for my birthday dinner celebration. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and our waitress gave us world class service. But it is on the pricey side, very. I couldnt finish my bottle of moet and i think by that time our server had left so i was given a bit of a hard time leaving with it and im not sure why. The food is good

Very bad cuisine in very beautiful place.I’d come here for a drink and sundowners, but won’t order food again.I had starter, main and dessert in this restaurant, I wasn’t expecting anything special from Kove collection, they are known for making “fine dining” for public with very simple tastes, but it was still unpleasant to receive defrosted tuna, on a cold plate... lots of their guests only order drinks.Food is below average.

What a lovely evening!Other than the hostess who had us sit and learned we didn’t have a reservation and insisted to make sure we felt guilty about that rather than owning their error and ensuring our experience was beautiful the whole way through, it was great!The food is delicious, the drinks are lovely and the views in camps bay can be seen and enjoyed very well from this venue!Do make the reservation, you won’t be disappointed!

We happened to find this stunning restaurant as the Hop on Hop off bus stops across the road from Bilboa. The restaurant is so tastefully decorated and has the most amazing sea views. Excellent service from the waiting staff. We enjoyed our cocktails and prawns. Highly recommended.

Aesthetically pleasing restaurant with gorgeous views of the beach. The service was great. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu.We opted for the winter menu which is a great way to check out a new place. 2 courses for R195 and 3 for R250. They also have a great wine selection and would definitely pass by again, any season of the year.

Aesthetically pleasing. 😍 First time I enjoyed my strawberry daiquiri in a long time!!! I love this place, wether you choose to dress up, wear jeans, it works. Menu very short and to the point, the service is great!❤️ well mannered and dressed waitresses, was meet at the door and already made to feel at home.

When we arrived we had forgotten about the restaurant curfew and the staff made such an effort to get us seated and fed in time. It felt like we were being served by a family member, the staff is exceptional. The food is divine and came very quickly. The place is trendy and extremely well decorated. Food is pricey but is completely validated by the quality and service. Would give it a 10/5 if I could, it was stunning.

Possibly the best place in Camps Bay for sundowners. The view is absolutely stunning! The staff is super attentive and make you feel so welcomed. The food tastes great and I loved that they have heaters on the terrace to keep you warm in the chilly months. Decor is modern and eccentric. This place is as boujee as it gets!

My friends had a reservation at the restaurant last week. When we arrived they basically said that we were dressed provocatively and that their restaurant doesn’t not allow that. We were wearing summer dresses.

Stunning location and fabulous food! The ambiance is laid back, yet sophisticated, and perfectly in keeping with the idyllic beachfront situation. The staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. The menu is interesting and unusual and everything was fresh and cooked to perfection by the obviously very talented chef! Looking forward to returning very soon.

Romantic and cozy. We were between two fire places and had an incredible dining experience. The food tasted as though each part of the meal was made with the finest ingredients. One of the best wine menu’s in town.

The food is delicious, the staff is super nice, nice setting. The prices are above average. Expect to pay R800+ if youre on a date or 2 of you for 2 alcoholic drinks + 2 mains. Deserts and others youre heading to R1k. Overall nice experience

It was our second time last night and again everything was excellent, the menu demonstrates great classic flavours of the mediterranean (for the menu items we ordered) and dishes are executed beautifully. The gentleman who hosted us for the second time I believe was professional, friendly and classy as usual. If I could make any reccomendation it would be to treat the menu like a tappas menu, try a few small dishes then share a main.

REALLY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCEMe and my friend came down from Johannesburg for the Cape Town Jazz Festival. We thought the night before we would have a dinner date and dress up, so during the day we looked through a few restaurants and Bilboa was more attractive (based on the menu and award). When we got to the restaurant and the front line manager (Mani) showed us to our seat and then we were waiting for over 20 minutes. My friend spoke to the manager to get us a waiter to at least take our drinks order. The waiter (Russel) eventually shows up and the manager makes him look bad (in front of us). We eventually order our wine (although the first option was do you want still or sparkling water(with attitude), instead of what would you like to drink). We order our food, and the realize we dont even have salt on the table and the manager still making inappropriate jokes about our bad experience instead of apologizing. The food average for the cost (or maybe we stopped enjoying it because of our experience). I am generally very disappointing and will never go back or recommend the restaurant to anyone. OH, and they still made us pay our bill after that bad experience. In the last picture you can see can see how Russel has attended to the table right next to us, and we still dont have drinks.

We went to celebrate my dads birthday. Waitress hardly paid attention or communicated with us regarding the menu. It was an effort to get her attention to ask for the bill. We got unfriendly service with hardly any communication. The food was good. Service extremely poor.

I have been there in 2019 and I still remember how good the food was. I am a vegetarian and I had a lot of different courses to choose from. My friend loves eating meat and he was really satisfied too. I can totally recommend this place.

Its such a shame that my partner and I had such an awful experience at Bilboa, it has a great view and it looks beautiful.The main purpose of the resturant, the food. which was sadly not up to what I would have expected. My partner and I had the three course meal, starting with the Baby Squid, followed by the steak and chips and ending off with the chocolate cheese cake.The starter was extremly average, much better sea food could be had at way cheaper places.The main course was so overly salted that both my partner and I struggled to eat it, not to mention that the steak was extremely chewy even though ordered medium rare.Finally the desert was suppose to have coffee ice-cream which ended up tasting like they mixed a packed of instant Cappuccino with it, not great tasting at all. The chocolate Cheese cake however was also ... you guessed it, AVERAGE.The service wasnt great either, their tables are only so big which is understandable but youd expect them to atleast take the dishes from the previous meal when delivering the next course, but they didnt. It was just moved aside so the main meals could be placed infront of us. only when we asked, did they get taken. On top of that our salt shaker on our table didnt work and my partners knife was blunt.To end it all, my Girlfriend gets a email today from DinningCity (Where she made the booking through) stating that Bilboa indicated that we did not show up for our reservation.Either one of these things dont make a bad experience but the culmination of them all results in an experience that I wont be having again.

Good service. Just remember to take out that 2nd Mortgage before you go. The 2 seafood platters for 2 and couple of beers for 4 people, was more expensive than my flights back to Pretoria.Awesome staff! Elvis, our waiter was in superb form.
