The Ya-Ya Café has a very good reputation and although I had a good experience, I only went for coffee so cant really give more than 3. They have various different styles of coffee on the menu and the Flat White I ended up going for was very tasty. I did have a look at their food menu which also had a nice variety, but their prices (although not exorbitant) are definitely on the higher side.  When we arrived I did have a look inside the café which was beautifully decorated in a French Café style,  but seeing as it was a nice day we decided to sit outside on the sidewalk which was just as great. It is good to note that they dont have a lot of parking at the restaurant, however there is an open field close by where you can park within walking distance of the café. As I have heard good things previously about them I will definitely be back to grab something to eat and will most probably be giving a better rating.

In SA, Ya, Ya is a common expression during converting with someone, and I suppose in other places on the planet, you might find something similar.The name, much like the location, Stellenbosch makes this place interesting. The service is excellent, and easy off-street parking, with competitive prices too.A must visit if you are in Stellies, Ya, Ya, thats what the locals call, Stellenbosch.

Delicious food and friendly staff. However, not a good place to go if you care for social distancing. The tables are very close together, the restaurant was full and the patrons took off their masks as they walked through the door and left it off throughout their stay. This is quite disrespectful to the staff who wear theirs all day while serving.

Lovely variety in the menu. Suitable for regular visits as you will not easily run out of things to try. And then there are the daily specials to keep things interesting. Easy access for a Stellenbosch cafe.

A beautiful getaway spot! One of my favorites. Always great service and such a aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. A great spot for a summers day, with delicious cake options for tea time! My favorite bite to eat - Chicken & Basil Pesto Mayo! An amazing take on the classic.

I love the buzz and vibe in Ya-Ya. The food is always excellent. Take into consideration that during public holidays and weekends the waiting period for serving of food is longer.

Nice and lively within the Covid regulations. Service was good and quick after complying with hand sanitation. Only had coffee and cake, chocolate with hazelnut. Was nice and moist and really chocolaty. Parking can be a bit challenging but there is iarking if one looks around.

Visited Ya-Ya Cafe in Stellenbosch for breakfast. Nicely spaced tables and well lit with full windows onto the street. Good array of choice on the menu and good coffee. My girlfriend had the eggs Benedict with the salmon option and I had the salmon on smashed avo with scrambled eggs. The food was well plated and presented. It was fresh and tasty and well worth a visit.It is well patronized which says a lot for any restaurant.I rate this 7 / 10

We have been waiting for an hour and a half for our food. The service is slow and it was very busy. Definitely call ahead and possibly order before. The front of house is poor.This has not been a pleasant experience.

Always a warm reception and a lot of thought has gone into the menu and delight of a Cafe/ restaurant in Dorp Street Stellenbosch. From the home made breads a best pizzas ever to the best coffee around , this gets a big 10 from me , I wish theyd open one in Cape Town.

Fresh daily wood fired bread, great breakfast and lunch menu and coffee (strong coffee style). Service is friendly but a bit slow so better for a working lunch than a quick bite to eat. Beautiful decor and European cafe music vibe. Wi-Fi, so good place to sit and work, but it can be a bit busy. Parking right outside.

Got there at about 11 on a weekday morning, out of season. It was packed and we were asked to wait for a table to become available. If it wasnt for the fact that it was pouring down (we were soaked to the bone) and we didnt know the area, we wouldve left to find another place.It wouldve been nice if we were offered the choice to order a warm drink while we were waiting. Also, theres no overflow bar or seating area, so guests waiting to be seated have to do so in the adjacent interior design store.Managed to get seated after about half an hour. Orders took a long time, and the food, while tasty, was on the cool side (my toast had no chance of even trying to melt the butter). Despite asking that our fried eggs be well-done, the yolks were still runny. Coffee was, likewise, not very warm (we got the impression that the drink order was prepared and then forgotten about, since we had to remind them that we had been waiting for a while).Waiters were very friendly nonetheless.

I was looking forward to popping in to this cafe as it always looks so appealing from the outside but parking can be a bit trickyOn Friday I found a parking and took my dad to lunch it was very busy and the decor is lovely beautiful buildingI have to say our lunch although quite humble was very disappointing we had toasted sandwiches on their bread which was very hard the garnish was reminiscent of spur the portions were too big and just all round disappointing experience sadly

Service from the senior staff was personable but the waiter we had was functional, not really engaging. But a place I will recommend for lunches or business meetings.

If you are looking for a lively place with a great atmosphere then you can really try out this one. I have been there many times over the last couple of years and although the shop is very popular and sometimes overly busy, one thing that stands out for me is the friendliness of the staff that works there. I also really like how they have revamped the shop recently.

This is not a place for a quick eat and go. Take some time and enjoy the good vibe. The food is great. Just good food prepared well. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just the way a local would like it. And the prices fit the pocket well, very well. This is place for having that long overdue conversation with friends that you never have time for.

Service is amazing

Great spot away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town. Food was delicious. Service wasnt particularly attentive, but thankfully we werent in too much of a rush.
