I was disappointed with their lamb chop. I ordered via Mr D and the lamp chop was rotten, it smelled foul as soon as I opened the packaging, took one bite and that was it.The onion rings tasted like old oil and were dripping oil as seen on the attached picture.!!Update!!The restaurant reached out and apologised for serving me food of that quality and offered me a replacement meal. I went there and waited for it to be prepare( took 10-15minutes) and the food was well prepared. The quality was outstanding and everything was cooked just right.Updated the review from 1 star to 4

Great food and great service. The restaurant was nice and clean and all the staff was very friendly. They serve draught beers in pre-chilled glasses, awesome. Definitely worth a visit. Centrally located with a awesome play area for the little ones too. Will definitely recommend.

Took my mother for her birthday and ended up with food poisoning. Waiters were slow even though the shop was empty. Not up to normal Spur standards.

Hi you dervide and food is bad with manager as well that did serve us on Thursday my steak was raw which I told him I want it week done cause Im pregnant and cant eat anything raw my food was fatty when it came back my chips was hard and burned than after we waited so long for food there wasnt even a lot of people. Me and my boyfriend had a lovely time there. We were really in the mood for spurs food, so the fact that we waited quite some time for the food to arrive didnt bother us. The establishment was super nice and clean and the staff is friendly.

I love the management at Reno and they always welcome me with open arms as I would consider myself a regular. The waiters are well trained and the fiid is freshly prepared and portioned. Well done you guys👏

Went with my kids on April 3Oth and had a pleasant experience. Will like to compliment Molly, shes took ownership of my grievance and called Zandile the senior manager who also made sure everything was sorted. They gave me excellent service.. if it was not for the Brownie I ordered, that come as a hard chocolate cake 🍰 I will have given 5. But definitely coming back, even thou its not my closest Spur. Thank you guys. Just work on your desserts. 😁

So we went back tonight (13 May 2021) to have dinner with the family. The place was jam packed and people were standing in ques at the door. Our food was definitely a let down. My kids received no salt and pepper with their meals. No sauces were given. The waiter was running around. Somewhere on his runs, he lost his manners because when we left he didnt even say thank you and goodbye. One customer close to us were complaining and maybe that derailed him but he was plain straight face when we left. I regret tipping him now. Our food was nothing special. The onion rings were something that you would serve to animals on animal xmas. It was crumbles and this is normally the star of the show. My burger was bad no attention to detail. Cold and klapped together for the sake of getting it over and done with. -2 Stars for me!!!Older posts:Best Cheddar melt sirloin steak in town. The place moved to a new location for the better. The playing area was buzzing and staff looked after the kids. No one got hurt. The layout is beautiful and the atmosphere was awesome! The place gets quite packed! So go earlier!So we went back for breakfast and we were again surprised by the all round performance of this Spur. They pay attention to detail and have upped their game. The chicken livers were on point. At some places they undercooked the peri peri chicken livers but here it was brilliantly prepared. My daughter said that the chicken nuggets were the best that she have tasted so far. Will definitely go back to sample again!

We were at your branch on the 16th of December 2019.We ordered the Top-Up Breakfast.The coffee we received wasnt as per the menu and in very small cups. When we asked the waiter we were informed that the cup was only for illustrative purposes and that you wont find those mugs anywhere. However, two days ago we received our coffee in those mugs on the menu at another branch in Tableview.Still waiting on a call from management.

I just ordered 4 chicken leg quarters with chips and onions and all of those meals came without onion rings... I phoned Spur and got told that I must contact the Delivery service and make a claim to them. How even? They not even willing to take initiative to deliver our missing items as it was clearly their fault

Okay, so we all know covid has taken over our lives and social distancing is the new normal but at this establishment social distancing means nothing to the waiters. I ordered a call and collect meal and after paying for my order, I stood and waited, out of the way of everyone as, all the seats were occupied and people were already not sitting 1.5m apart and a waiter comes to me and my sister and says why dont you sit? I then proceed to ask him where I should sit and that social distancing should be adhered to, he then went and opened the door for more patrons and says to us you see, this is why I told you to sit because the patrons had to walk around me. So now I ask, what happened to social distancing and covid protocols????If this is how the waiters are at the door, I dont even want to know what its like behind closed doors and makes me wonder if they actually clean the restaurant like they are supposed to be cleaning it. Sorry, Reno Spur but you will not be seeing me again.

My daughter was celebrating her 10th birthday last night and the service we received from the start of the booking to the day we had our daughters birthday celebrated to this restaurant was out of this country.starting from they way of communication........it was easy for me to contact them for any changes needed to be done because they are on WhatsApp and they reply very quick.I arrived there during the day to check out the venue and everything was in order already, the staff was only waiting for us to arrive.The staff is soo friendly and my kids were taken care of.Their Manager Thapelo and his staff (Siko and others just forget their names) were really amazing. this will definitely be my go to restaurant as from now whenever I feel like eating out................I enjoyed and loved everything ,How do I forget the standard of neatness....ohhh I can speak forever but the bottom line is we had a wonderful experience.

Recently visited the Reno Spur and I had to review my 1 star given in 2017. This establishment has turned around every aspect of its business. The new premise is perfect and clean. Staff is efficient and friendly. Covid19 protocols observed. The food is always fresh my family and I enjoy this Spur regularly instead of previously driving pass this Spur to the Tygervalley branch we have returned to the Reno Spur. Well Done you have turned this Spur around I assume with new management.

Slow service. Ordered the banana special dessert only to get warm cream and chunks of custard. Called manager and he looked confused as to why Im complaining. Nothing great to say about this place honestly.

Was quite disappointed i informed them its my daughters birthday and they told me they didnt have ice cream and will not be offering anything in return which was sad as this was our tradition with spur since her first birthday and she is now 12 they didnt even come to sing upon leaving my daughter asked very sadly why they didnt even come sing which i also didnt get after they said they would and had to make up a story about how they were to tired really really disappointed.

They take you back to a time when Spur was passionate about product and service, and not just another fast food chain. My girlfriend just ordered 2 kiddies chicken burgers with sweet potato fries via Mr delivery. When it arrived we found that the sweet potato fries was ignored and we got normal fries, also the burgers had no garnish no sauce nothing. I could literally have driven to a when garage and done better. It seems that these guys do not value Mr delivery customers as much as thier walk in customers.

Ashley is a very attentive waiter and a little out of place. He should be in a fancy upmarket restaurant with the manner in which he approach one. Maybe a bit too formal, and a bit over the top. Food was good. We asked for a quiet spot and they accommodated us.

Food was nice although a bit cold when it arrived at the table. I know we where a big group and they tried their utmost best to get all the food to the tables at the same time. Not the traditional Spur athmosphere unfortunately.

Breakfast service is extremely slow. 15 min for coffee. Breakfast finally came after a long wait too. Warm eggs, ice cold bacon.I dont know if Ill go back in a hurry. Servive with a big smile. Just the lack of performance lets them down.

The place provide a nice sitting and the staff is very warm and helpful. I was not impressed by the quality of the burger. It felt like too old and breaking into pieces. The place is a great hangout place for family.
