I love the deli and fresh breads but the menu for breakfast is wall to wall eggs. Every other eatery in CT will offer something on the menu without eggs. Only one dish without eggs and that is a bacon dish. A very old fashioned menu which is at odds with the shop where you can actually buy gluten- sugar free goods and other modern fare

This is a very dangerous place. Things look so tasty in the store, when you walk in you want to buy everything. I walked in to buy one small cake, ended up buying 5 items and R280 later. These guys are that good with their product. The taste is out of this world, all their products are freshly baked.Martins have a very long history, I first started shopping at Martins when I was at school while they were at their previous premises, years later they relocated to the bigger premises theyre currently occupying.Today my wife and son also enjoy their products.

Service and take aways was a tad slow which could be attributed to Covid. However one of the best places to enjoy an omelette especially the Chorizo option as it cut thinly. If you are not too diet conscious I would recommend the Cappuccino with Cream.

A humble little bakery with top-notch food and despite it being on a busy road, it allows easy access to get in and out of its parking lot. Whether youre on your way to the coast or settling back into suburbs, its a great stop for a quick breakfast and/or lunch. Of course, theres friendly staff to go with the rustic and calming atmosphere.

Very cozy and intimate for adults away from the kids. Food is delectable and healthy options available.

Martins is a well known, and loved bakery, and place for breakfast or light lunches. They make excellent baked bread,pastries, cakes, all sorts.

I really like having a specialist baker not far from home.Martins does EXCELLENT pies, great croissants and several dangerously delicious cakes, cookies and such.They also stock a nice selection of cur3d meats and cheeses.Obviously there is also the selection if breads, rolls, quiches, etc.

It was joyful sight to enter a cafe displaying so much pastries in the early hour. We had a good and fast service at the terrace. It is an airy place to hang out & have our delicious morning breakfast.

Martins Deli and Cafe is one of the best and most popular establishments in Cape Town for good reason. For a small shop there is a wide assortment of sweet and savoury treats. A personal favourite is the mini lemon meringue tart. There is also a sit down cafe with a delicious breakfast and lunch menu. Martins is also popular for its banting and gluten-free options.

I was pleasantly surprised by the service I got. I needed some meals for volunteers at 430. When I phoned they said their kitchen closed at 330 but they would make ahead and keep them warm for me.I arrived and the staff were friendly and helpful. They made me lovely coffee too.The meals were delicious.I can highly recommend the Banting burger. It was packed with flavour, lovely avo, cheese, salad and all sorts.It was an extremely pleasant experience and I would highly recommend it!

Love the set up of the shop. I will definitely be back. I never knew this Coffee Shop / Bakery existed. I walked and looked around I did not wanted to leave but I quickly slipped away by taking the client to the Bakery.

I dont often go to Martins because I feel they can be a bit pricey. But its a lovely place to meet a friend for coffee. They have an early bird breakfast till 8:30 am. Their croissants with avo, bacon, cheese, egg always a winner. The service is not too bad and staff are friendly. They do have lovely cakes and fresh deli products.

This is a true 5 star bakery. Not pretentious and the best ciabatta and meringues you could possibly create.

I like the feeling of this bakery. Nice assortment of things, caring towards all diets, no-gluten and Paleo treats. There is a lunch buffet that is beautifully prepared and the guy who I think owns the bakery because he walks around in that boss like way, has a cool vibe about him. It’s cosy, casual and tasty!

Lovely little bakery for all your coffee and tea needs as well as a great selection of eats and treats. They offer every thing from cakes to vegetarian chocolate brownies (which are to die for). They have a sit down option with a delectable menu to choose from.

I was pleasantly surprised by their gluten-free range and the staff were helpful and friendly and unlike some other bakeries, they know the difference between wheat-free and gluten-free.

Its definitely a cut above the rest. The SERVICE is outstanding! All welcome - the bakes ... hmmm....lets see - not above your European standard but definitely better than most bakeries found in Cape Town. Get there early in the morning though - the shops interesting and fresh but normal after 11h00 - then again, my normal might be someone elses super. Check them out - you definitely wont be disappointed. Oh yes - their gluten-free and diabetic options are a bonus. R49.00 for real juice (1.5l I think)... was worth it for me. Take your life back and choose real bakery again.

Normally enjoy the place.. I dont know if Im correct in saying this.. But if you order an egg avo and cheese croissant(which is on the menu, as a set option) for x amount which is stated on the menu.. then get told, would you like avo with that, its an extra few rands.. Am I wrong in saying that is not ethical?

Not as much variety as I expected.

Martins bakery is wonderful with a wide variety of healthy choices & last time we went we had berry smoothies which were great, also because they were sugar free. There is way too much sugar in our diets so finding sugar free choices is always good. Besides all the usual bakery goods Martins also has lots of chocolaty type selections and sugar or wheat free selections.

Definitely a very nice coffee shop/bakery with a wide variety of fresh food. The coffee was good and the service was topclass. Worth the visit.
