Lovely baked goods - sweet and savoury. I was told their sausage roll is incomparable... but I had eaten most of it cold and it was dry and heavy. Gotta eat it fresh! Really good cheese cake, and their broche buns are great for homemade burgers (and keep well).Service is on the poor side. Some of the servers play favorites when it comes to their regular customers and there is only one till. So, even if youre waiting to pay, if the other server happens to be pushy they will hog the till to serve their preferred customer before your server can assist you. Happened to me twice, so maybe not a common occurrence, but put me off.

Great little bakery with nice selection of items. Flat whites could be a little stronger - so maybe ask directly you want it strong if you that ay inclined.

Bought some sour dough from them and thoroughly enjoyed the product. Love the sliced offering. Will buy again, and try the Gluten free option as well.

Worst baguette in town! Being new in Sea Point, this morning I undertook an exploration of the bakeries. Arriving at Bentleys at 15 to 9 am I saw two baguettes left and asked if they were fresh. The answer was that all the breads have been made the same morning. R25 later I was the proud owner of one of the two baguettes and while walking towards my car I decided to have a taste. I cant explain my surprise realizing that whatever it was that I have purchased, certainly not a baguette, was as hard as stone... When I finally managed to get a piece and tasted it, it simply was not eatable, it was bitter... it was burned. I hesitated to return to the shops but I am not a costumer that would make a scene... I will simply never set a foot at that place ever again.

Delicious, freshly baked goodies.....they open very early, so after a 2 hour morning walk on the promenade....this is definitely a good reward 👌👍🥰lovely potato and cheese pastries and the all time favourite crossiants 😋. Awesome friendly service as well 👍☺

Staff are lovely and full of positive energy every time weve been. Their coffee is GREAT, and at a decent price too!! Their pastries, breads, cakes, etc are delicious!!! Good quality and fresh! One can easily pre-order. They are open from early and close around 1pm.

Maybe I got unlucky, but the sourdough bread I got was dry in the inside and burnt on the outside. Also didnt taste very fresh.

Theres confusion on where to order and where to pay, leading to people pushing ahead of you. Waited 15 mins for a flat white that wasnt very tasty. Their pastries are amazing.Sort the ordering and paying out please.

In search of a good loaf of sourdough I stopped at Bentley’s yesterday. The loaves were sold out so I was offered two miniature sourdough loaves instead. A few hours later we used them for our meal and they were rock hard as were the cheese sticks we had bought.Once you’ve tasted good bread made with stone ground flour it’s difficult not to be discerning. Bentley’s use commercial flour which is about as nutritious as the talcum powder in your bathroom. Perhaps this is why the bread was rock hard or maybe I’d been sold stale bread.An altogether disappointing experience!

Absolutely wonderful and enthusiastic service from the lady serving and the bread was real quality.marked down one star as I think the price of the Danish was a little steep even if it was one of the nicest I have had in a long time

OMG the best pepper steak pie in Cape Town - crispy, crumbly pastry and a tender, tasty filling. I cant wait to try the chicken and mushroom. And the almond croissant ... its all well worth the drive across town!

Good coffee. The bread is made freshly on the premises. They also do rolls, pies and sweet things. Banana bread, cakes etc. They also take orders for cake. They have a drinking fountain for dogs just at the entrance.

Always 100% thats what Ken gives. Superb service, open atmosphere. My go to.

One of the best carbs in town. Delicious sourdough, amazing staff and dog friendly. What else do you want?EDIT - lots of flies around and landing into the takeaways, bread, etc. Guys you MUST fix this it been ongoing for a while.

Love this little local Sea Point bakery - awesome food, reasonable and delicious coffee and super helpful staff! Some things are a little on the expensive side but overall, its great.

This bread co. should rename themselves as Bentley CEMENT Bread Co.If ever you want your tooth extracted just pop in and get a bread from Bentleys it will do the job. Got 3 types of their bread and all three were cement loaves. Will not return and would not recommend! Unless you want to save on dentistry cost.

Possibly one of the best pies Ive ever had!

Their take away sandwiches are NEXT LEVEL and their coffee is delicious. And the service is always with a smile!
