They could accommodate me after 5pm on the same day of my call and were super friendly, calm and helpful while my dogs were stressing me out. Dr George was excellent in how he treated my pets. Would go back.

Vet is great, my Rottweiler is reactive but they made her feel at ease. They also didnt offer to muzzle her while doing her vaccinations which is a plus. On my second visit my chonky pup went in and usually she runs away from vets

Unfortunately I was not happy with the service received from this veterinarian hospital.I took my cat Peurl in for Limp of her Hind leg. The consultant vet informed me that they need to sedate her to do the diagnosis and x-rays. Which was understandable since my Bengal can be a handful if she is not happy.So the next morning we dropped her for the consultation. So far so good.When picking up Peurl later that afternoon a different vet gave us feedback which at the time I was uncomfortable with but she handled as profession so I went with it. But in essence this is second hand information and can never be as good as the consultant Vets feedback.The medication that was prescribed was not at the hospital and we had to pick it up later that afternoon. The medication only arrived 2 Days Later. At this stage there was already a break in the treatment from the anti-inflammatory injections to the oral anti-inflammatories.After receiving the medication 2 days later we found that the medication was not suitable for cat use and only approved for use in dogs.So heres my problem number two. If the Consulting bed felt that it was needed to use a off-label treatment. I would have expected him to discuss that with me. And this is exactly the communication break that I was referring to you above.After speaking to you the vet they gave me the feedback she informed me that she would never prescribed off-label and change the prescription to a cat specific medication. Which I then had to picked up the next day.At this point there was a five-day break in the treatment.Bottom line is that I am R1600 of pocket my cat is still limping, I prescribe this to the delay and breaking treatment.And my last big problem! While Peual was under anesthesia the vet took it upon himself and without my permission cut my cats toenails. This is something I would never have agreed to! I can see from Pauls mood that she misses the security of her nails she struggles to play on a cut tree like she used to do. The other night when there was a foreign feral cat in the home she got beat up badly because she could not protect yourself.Please City vet add to your permission slip explicit permission to cut or not to cut cat claws!I still gave then two stars since all the staff was also always very friendly and helpful unfortunately I dont take my cat to the vet for friendly service but for good veterinary care which I feel was lacking in this case.

Fantastic Vet! They are friendly and really caring. The service was great.They were running behind schedule and I had to wait quite a while. So they could look at getting a system where they just notify you if appointments are running late.Apart from that - fantastic Vet and a great experience.

Service is great. Friendly faces who know what they are doing. Such passionate, loving vets. Makes a trip to them not as traumatising for the pet or the owner. Its the only place we take our animals.

Great service and products but they could inform you when making your appointment that only one person is allowed in with the pet.

Great vet, great prices! I drive from the Northern suburbs to use these guys. The dogs are also really happy to see them and they stay open till late to see us after work. Really appreciate their effort. Family discount also helps with more than 1 dog.

Easy to find and quiet enough for the dog to relax before going inside. Friendly and understanding staff at reception sort out nervous parents and patients. Most of the popular brands of premium dry pet food and tick collars etc available. George one of the two vets has a reassuring approach and follows up with his patients after the visit.

The vets at Citi Vet are both people persons and animal persons and give an excellent medical service with the best for your loved ones/ pets in mind at all times. They are highly recommended as we take all of our dogs there!

I cannot thank Carina Visser and Dr Koury enough for their assistance with our 2 dachshunds yesterday. They attended to our fur children immediately after we called as we didn’t know what was wrong with our dogs. This place is full of experience, compassion, and love. They know what they are doing with regards to vaccinations ect. and you are not very educated if you question their decisions otherwise. This is where you get proper care if you love your animals.

When it comes to everyday things like injections and general illness, I have always loved going to Citivet Gardens. George has always been good with our dogs and very compassionate in times of loss. However, our experience with operations has been grueling for the pets who needed it and the Drs who handled the surgeries were not George. I was told that if I had my puppy spayed there, I would be charged welfare rates for the operation, so I allowed them to do the surgery. Long story short and after almost daily visits due to wound problems, I was turned away yesterday when my puppy had managed to get out of her cone and lick off the staples that had been inserted the previous day when I had only requested a wound check and a new bandage, which I felt she required due to her activity levels. She was distraught at having been to the vet so often, so she required sedation to check the wound and I was assured there would be no charge for that. When I picked her up, her stitches had been removed and she had been stapled with no bandage. I did not request this, so I did not pay for it. I did intend to pay for the emergency yesterday, however, but it was assumed that I expected help for free and it was suggested immediately that I take her to welfare. On telling them that I would pay, I was told that due to an emergency (which was confirmed) there would be no time for her and no one would be made available. I rushed her to another vet who informed me that she had been entirely incorrectly stitched from the get go and - another operation later - she is now correctly stitched and I am getting the correct post operative advice and help. Its never about the costs for the care of my pets, but I like to know that I am paying for quality professional care and that I am paying a vet who understands the needs of each individual patient and gives the correct aftercare advice. When you start to feel that its only about the money for the vet in question, its time to find another vet.

A good information network.Parking is plentiful as its off the main road.No spa facilities available.

He has amazing professional skills and expertise, but its his way of dealing with the pet and owner that sets him apart. From the way he deals with frightened pets to his caring and supportive manner with anxious owners, I havent experienced such a comforting environment and Ive been doing this for 60 years .

Cats still doing fine after 7 years of going to the same vet. Also they have operated on the male cat a few times after he got into some nasty fights, he is luckily calmer now and recovered well each time. Also have a nice selection of food and another pet necessities.

Citivet Gardens is amazing. They truly care about animals and go the extra mile to make sure their patients recover from illness and stay healthy. One of our cats was seriously ill from allergies, pancreatitis, heart murmur and kidney disorder, and after being hospitalised and taken to four different vets around CPT who didnt manage to diagnose and treat him, we were afraid he didnt have long left to live. Luckily we took him to Citivet Gardens who helped him get better. One year later our cat is completely healthy with no issues -even his kidney disorder has reversed back to the normal range. We are really grateful for the job these vets do.

Weve been clients of Citi Vet for over 20 years. A multitude of cats and dogs later, we still bring our pets for their checkups and flareups. Dr Koury will ALWAYS do what is best for the animal, without pressure of unnecessary spending. I took my Husky in for what I thought were hips that were off due to hair being abnormally thick and raised around his loins, but Koury did his check and clarified that its nothing to worry about - but a proper groom is required! Felt a bit silly, but this goes to show how we can trust him. One year later my dog is still 100%!

While the vet experience itself was fine, after bringing my cat home yesterday from the vet, she now has fleas. After leaving the vet, she has not left the house and we have no other animals which couldve given her fleas. We called the vet as its the only place she couldve picked them up and the person we talked to was dismissive and rude. We were trying to make them aware that this might be a problem that needs addressing as this can spread to other peoples pets as well. The experience and the way in which it was handled and the way we were talked to has left a very bad taste in our mouth and a bad impression of City Vet as this was our first time there.

Besides the receptionists thats extremely rude every single time, our general experience was just awful. I wouldnt go back. The vet confirmed that our male cat has been neutered. He confirmed this one two occasions. Despite the fights our cat was in we were assured it’s just his temperament.After switching vets - observatory vet - the vet confirmed that our cat was in fact not neutered and after the procedure our cat was 100% different. How can an experienced vet get something like this wrong?

Not impressed with the receptionist. She is a total bully, more concerned with filling out forms that seeing to my bleeding kitten. She was bitten by a dog with a big gaping wound on her leg. Doctor wasnt even in but I was told to come in when I called, a total unnecessary waste of time. Rather head to TAH animal hospital for emergencies. Awful experience.

I was previously very happy at this vet, but I got a kitten and she had her first vaccines at another vet. That vet started her 3 course leukaemia vaccines. Long story short, the CitiVet didnt follow through with those vaccs when I went to them for the 2nd round, and the course had to be restarted at a later stage - costing me more money. I sent an email complaint and got no reply.As feline leukaemia is serious, I am concerned that this vet does not automatically offer the vaccines - it does not inspire confidence. Not being an animal expert I wouldnt know it was available unless told about it. I have since moved to a vet that encourages this vaccinating and am happier.

Terrible experience. Their opening hours clearly state 6pm-7pm on Sundays. We phoned at 6.50pm and they tried to deter us but then agreed we could come in. We got our dog there at 6.55pm. We knocked on the front door, and they quickly switched off the lights and pretended not to hear us. We then saw them sneak out the back door as we held our sick dog in our arms. We felt embarrassed for them.
