We see Dr Achim usually, and his knowledge on animals is incredible. The consults are thorough and I leave with a sense of understanding. The reception staff are friendly, helpful and remember what we were there for the previous visit. This is an awesome personal touch. If you are looking for a vet, I couldnt recommend them enough.

The best veterinary clinic in and around Cape Town. Believe me I have been to many. The care and love ALL the staff give is outstanding. The give such love and attention when you need it most- when your fur baby is not well. Honestly they have helped us with all our fur kids- guinea pigs to our 2 doggos. Nothing is too much or too demanding fit them! Dr Lauren McGavin is phenomenal- she has helped us with our sick guinea pig- who is 4 years old and many vets would have called it- but she persisted and with such care and attention he is doing worlds better - all because of her! She is phenomenal. Thank you to this amazing Dr and all the staff for keeping our babies healthy and happy!

The staff are all very friendly - however you will wait at least 20 to 30 minutes to see any of their vets as they are always running late. My latest appointment they even gave my slot to another client because their vet was delayed - while I was sitting there waiting! Didnt even bother asking if I was ok with it. Ive been going to them for years, but this was the last straw.

These guys really are the best. Every single person working there is caring, friendly and helpful. And thats when theyre dealing with the pet owners - the caring is even more evident towards the pets! I have never felt rushed through there, rather everything is explained and I leave there feeling my pets have the best care they can get.And with covid they are managing the regulations well and strictly enforce their rules, which are clearly displayed at the entrance.

Like most vets expensive but very professional & helpful.

Switched to Steenberg Vet a few years ago after being disillusioned with the local vets in the South Peninsula. I’m so glad I did. The vets are incredibly caring and attentive and take the time to explain to you as a layman what’s going on with your fur babies. Couldn’t be happier with the service and support. I loathe to single anybody out as I’ve had excellent service from all the vets but I have to single out Dr. Ross for going above and beyond on multiple, difficult occasions.

I have been going to Steenberg Vet for 16 years. They are the best there is! I drive from Claremont and pass about 7 vets because only the caring and knowledgeable people at Steenberg will do. They have been with me through all the highs and lows of being a cat lover and owner. They really care!

We have been taking our 5 Yorkshire Terriers here for 5 years and have had nothing but outstanding care for our fur kids. Always understanding, always listen to what we say, and always patient enough to answer a million questions. They all understand what it is to be a pet owner and invest themselves in the wellbeing of our dogs. Having recently relocated to the UK Ross handled all the pet passport procedures and our dogs arrived safely. Exceptional experience with Steenberg and very sad to say goodbye.

Excellent care and attention for all my animals.

The office staff do not return ones call and Gina shows no patience to hang on for a second when she eventually returned my call after I had to phone again. When I mentioned this, she told me to phone her back when I calmed down and put the phone down in my ear. We are clients and our piggy Oreo might get billary if we do not get the feedback/treatment that we enquired about. Unfortunately there are not many vets who knows about pigs and this is a problem for the animal. Still waiting for the return call.

Dr Ross is one of the best vets around. He always takes time to explain the dogs problem. I would not take my dogs anywhere else.
