Very neat and tidy restaurant with a big (semi indoor) play area that is not affected by rain. Kids loved it as theirs loads to do, food was of great quality and they maintain social distancing and other regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.

Covid messed things up like having to wait awhile to get table, feel spurs have lost alot of thrre appeal

I am just wondering about why do you play the same type of music, only Afrikaans. The music doesnt cater for everyone who comes here. I enjoy coming here but the music is always the same and definitely not only Afrikaans speaking people come here.

The camp is as usual clean and well organized. The gravel road is badly corrigated so that we and other campers with Jurgens and Sprite caravans have some interrior damage.

I had a very bad experience with a rock hard steak as a special. Second time a very bad patty also a special. Third time had ribs that were off and Fetta cheese that was tasteless with salad that was also off, dead. Every experience its with food that tastes old. Not sure if its only served to black people.

They have the best playground for kids in Bloemfontein! Everyone in the family can enjoy their meal!

This is one of the best family friendly restaurants in Bloemfontein. The waiters are professional with excellent hospitality manners. They are there when you need them and do not ukwardly hover over you as with other restaurants. Their menu variety has been streamlined but their food still remains proudly Mzanzi. Their buffalo wings in durkey sauce is the main reason I always come back to Spur.

Had the Lazy Aged steak and it was amazing. Bit pricy and had a long wait but the service was good the entire visit. Would recommend

What terrible service. Got seated after Covid check and info to be filled in. Was told a waiter/waitress will be with me shortly. 12min later still waiting. Now keep in mind its lunch time and not too busy on a weekday. Ended up standing up and leaving. Obviously why so many Spurs are closing down. Covid ,poor service standards.

The staff & management had many unforseen challenges which (if they handled it better) could have become a strong point giving a 5 star rating

I ordered at mr.D. And there was a problem with my order. I called spur (in Langenhovenpark) more than 5 times and there was nobody answering my phone call. HORRIBLE!!!

Good service, good food

Good food at decent prices, however prices have gone up (at all spurs). The facilities are great for watching sports, but there is non stop Afrikaans music which becomes unpleasant towards the end of the meal.Apart from the monotonous music this is an unusually nice spur.

A nice place to visit midweek when youve grown tired of cooking! Your kids (particularly if theyre between 3 - 12) will enjoy the massive play area, which gives you and your partner a chance at some fairly decent adult conversation:)The menu options arent exactly gourmet but its still good:) There were two midweek specials to choose from. The service was friendly and prompt.

A standard Spur with all the trimmings. A steakhouse on international standards with local prices. One of the best returns on the dollar exchange for red meat. They have wheelchair access to most facilities but the space between tables can be a challenge. Child friendly.

Went in a group of 8 adults and 3 kids. Waited almost 45 minutes for a hamburger. The hamburger fries and onion rings were very tasty. Price for burger is R55 on Mondays.

Was denied the option to make a booking because of running promos, even though i wanted to book for a large party and for a valid reason (babies dont understand the queuing process and i cant feed my baby in a queue) I feel as if Spur is discriminating against people with babies, basically saying i should either stay home or queue because i cant book a table at a restaurant. After all the Spur drama...We think it is safe to say..forgive and forget. Kickstarter breakfast is really a must. All your favourite Spur breakfast in one go... Hash browns...eggs... bacon...onion rings..tomato all On white or brown bread... really enough to kickstart your day. Price...2 Kickstarters and one coffee...with tip R130. Staff really friendly and helpful.

What a disappointment!! We booked a table for a birthday celebration and on arrival the table was not prepared. We had to sit at seperate tables away from our family. It took a very long time for our order to be prepared and my grandchild had to go home disappointed as she waited for the staff to sing but they did not show.

Best Spur in Bloemfontein, the Managers are always concerned about whether we are happy with the service and quality of food and the waiters love going the extra mile. If something is not up to scratch they are more than happy to fix it all up.

We arrived at 09:06. The drinks took long to arrive. I Ordered a coke Can and received coke from the taps.The waiter rectified it.We placed our orders and waited more than an hour to receive our food after asking the waiter when will the food arrive, he said he is bringing the plates now, we waited another 20 min and decided to get up and look for the waiter to ask again. We then received our orders a few minutes afterwards but 2 of the orders were incorrect.The cheese on one of the sandwiches barely existed and charging R52 for a low budget item is absolutely reciculous when something as basic as cheese is neglected.We proceeded to ask for a takeaway box, after 15 min we still had not received it.Then again we took it apon our selfs to stand up and request a box from another waiter and left at 10:45. Waiting Almost 2 hours at your Branch for  simple breakfast orders is a complete waste of time.

The only reason I am still going to the Spur ANYWHERE in SA is because the kids want to play. The food is always always a disappointment- long gone are my fond childhood memories of the Spur. So Silver Chief Spur it is NOT your fault - these bad recipes and frozen food comes from headoffice. A good example is that you are allowed only 3 prawns on the prawn and cheese schnitzel? 5 on the full meal! Really - are you now a low- rated Fastfood outlet? I would rather go to Copper Clover around the corner, with a great kids area and food that is ammended to my personal requirements. Where you are seen as a paying customer and not another number walking through the door waited to be exploited! Shame on you Spur head office 🤨
