What a wonderful and homely place! We were directed here from the Tourism office in Tulbagh - and boy are we glad we found it. From amazing starters, to delicious mains and great wines! This coupled with how kind and welcoming the staff, owners and wine maker were made being there such a pleasant and wonderful experience. For starters - I had butternut soup and for mains I had the pork belly! Both excellent choices and it was perfect for the cold weather. Highly recommend this place for anyone in the area looking for a hearty meal at affordable prices! π
Lovely spot just difficult to find - engage diners through newsletters
Great meal with delicious wine, cant ask for more.
Maybe change.the wording on the menu from food and wine pairing to food and wine tasting or otherwise explicitly state that the pairing portion is small i.e.just a taster.
We had lunch at the restaurant and are very disappointed with the food, we had asian chicken curry and oxtail stew which was more a soup than a stew with rice at the bottom of it,and small portions, also the mussels was more a starter portion than a main meal. Dessert was just as disappointing small portions, literally one teaspoon of icecream. Our waiter Leandra however tried her best to keep is happy. Will definitely not be going back.
What an absolute gem! Albert the wine maker is so amazing and his wines are stunning! Well done!
We only visited for a wine tasting, which was very good. Next time well have lunch there.
Lovely view with great food and friendly staff to boot... Thanks for a great evening...
Excellent food, great wine! The service is also fantastic!
Amazing food
A hidden gem off the beaten track just outside Tulbagh. The petite collection of wines at Diggers Place are a compliment to the wine maker, Albert. The restaurant has a simple offering of unusual, well presented, delicious food. The farm owner, David, and all his staff make you feel welcome and important. Dont go to Tulbagh without visiting Diggers Home.
They have an interesting selection of tapas. The wine is excellent.
Nice find for a Sunday tasting and above average platter style foods. Try the whitebait! Excellent boutique wines, but dont expect grandiose surroundings. Totally worth a stop.
Awesome. Best wine and atmosphere. Friendly and a place I will go back a thousand times.
So cute and AMAZING wine that I believe will do great in the wine community! Some of the most beautiful and serene views and feels.
Best food and great wines+ breathtakinv views
Friendly and pleasant presentation of wines, beautiful view and allround good vibes and feelings.
Great personalised wine tasting with Albert Brink. Glorious views, great wines, we will be back to sample the food on our next trip.
Albert is an amazing host, the wine tasting exceptional. Welldone to an amazing little gem
The food was excellent. Well done Andre !!! The owners hospitality and Kindness makes it extra special .!!!!!!
Have you tasted their Chardonay & Shiraz!! Just to sit there & enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst sipping the best wines is an experience one will never forget.
This is really nice place for lunch! Chef Andre set up a contemporary menu with a lot of tasteful options and it was hard to choose. We opt for the beef guacamole and chimichurri tostada, avocado roll salad and classic fried whitebait with aioli. Together with their Chardonnay. It was all delicious and freshly prepared. We were impressed.Ambiance and service are also very nice and the view on the mountains is beautiful. Not to miss when youβre inTulbagh!
Friendly service. Delicious meals.
