Beautiful place with picturesque scenery. The food was delicious!Our waiter Leon was very enthusiastic and made great suggestions. He went the extra mile and made us feel welcome.The beer tasting was fun and the beers were of great quality.The food portions were large and everything was cooked to perfection. The menu provides vegetarian and gluten-free options (not very varied but the gluten-free burger - the buns were substituted for black mushrooms- was magnificent). I would definitely recommend stopping here.They have various specials on different days of the week. They also offer a picknick option and they have a childrens play area.At the gate a board proclaims bookings only, however if they have space available they do help walk-ins.

A true Tulbagh gem. Its off the beaten path but is definitely worth the drive. The menu is quite extensive and interesting with the restaurant itself being cute and rustic with a great view onto the mountains. Theres a childrens play area too. The food is well portioned and was very tasty. We had the chicken burger and the spinach and ricotta lasagna which were both great. Other meals coming out of the kitchen looked hugely appetising, would definitely recommend

Their calamari tacos were so good! Huge healing portions made with very fresh ingredients. The servers were hustling and so nice. Made us want to come back!

We just spent a fantastic weekend at Duikersdrift and was so glad there was an on site restaurant. Food at Obiqua is really delish and beautifully presented and with stunning views over the Saronsburg Mountain range. Shane and Shane are great hosts and Leon made sure we were well taken care of. Loved Colbys omelette...best ever! Thanks to the team who kept us well fed...good portions and well priced. The Jalapeno poppers were a massive hit as well as their Mexican platter for one. Highly recommend to spend a day here either as a couple or a family and enjoy a meal or a picnic on this estate.

Awesome and chilled place. Never drove that side before so I was a bit skeptical about the path with unpaved road. Honestly, I though I was lost. The kitchen closes on Sunday after 15:30, so I was only able to order some deserts and coffee. Cake of day was delicious with some choc and cheese. The apple crumble is baked when you order so it is really fresh, but it might take some time. No complains, I enjoined. Kids place is clean and they can run everywhere. Close to 5 pm you might see some mosquitoes around. I am not sure due to season or vegetation. Anyway, a good place to be and chill the day. Hope to return next time sooner. Thanks

The pizzas are delicious! Unfortunately, did not take photos as I ate them too quickly...Will definitely visit again when the lockdown is lifted and we can sit down to enjoy the beautiful views and great food.

Another great restaurant in Tulbagh. Obiqua Cafe is situated on the Duikersdrift Farm, the delicious meals are well thought through, nice big portions, very well presented/plated and so tasty. They have a kiddies play area and menu, which means that parents can take some time out to relax. Farm fresh breads, some preserves, sweets, branded golf shirts and peak caps and a couple of wild life books are available for purchase. The farm also offers the PARK run every Saturday and Bed & Breakfast accommodation. The accommodation has a coffee station, aircon, a fireplace, access to the pool area and use of fishing rods, bicycles and other items for use during your stay. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Really enjoyed our outing here. The food tasted great and is oversized farm style. Loved it.There is a play area for kids which the little one enjoyed. The restaurant also gave us some apples to feed to the horses and again the little one njoyed it.Will definitely return in the future.

Really amazing place with superb food and service! The food was very well presented and tasted amazing. The salad was a little small for a full meal though. Prices are very reasonable though. Service was very attentive. This is a great place for families and couples. The restaurant has a very relaxed seating area, with a choice of sitting either inside or outside. Bookings are strongly recommended, as they can get quite busy over the weekend. I will definitly be going there again.

Had such a great experience at Obiqua.We were a group of 24 people for lunch after a wedding the night before.The staff were amazing and very accommodating when we had to move inside due to the weather.Food is excellent. Highly recommend the bunny chow.Their craft beer on tap is of a very high quality.I had the Amandla pale ale: refreshing with just the right amount of fruitiness and bitterness.Overall can highly recommend!

The hidden gem of Tulbagh, the very best Cape Malay curry I have ever had they add their own unique little twist to it, amazing views and the service was brilliant a must do if youre in the region.

This farm restaurant is great, very dog friendly, brought a water bowl without having to ask. Great selection of beer, enjoyed their veggie pizza. Will definitely be going again.

My wife and I visited this venue today together with my daughter & her two kids. I had a nice home made beef burger & chips. My wife and daughter had a vegetarian meal which they also enjoyed. The two kiddies had chips with chicken strips. The staff is very helpful & friendly. We will surely visit again when we are in the area..!! Well done!!

An absolute gem in the Tulbagh valley. Tucked away on Duikersdrif away from the hustle and bustle of town. The food is of outstanding quality and the portions are really generous.And another big plus is that they cater for kids as well. There is a huge play area where the kids can enjoy them selves. There is also nappy changing facilities in the bathrooms.

Worst experience ever as a person of color. Being told to sit outside in cold after it just rained and told the tables inside are reserved for lunch time from 14:00. Imagine we were there for breakfast not lunch. If you want peace of mind and you are black, please avoid this place. Google please also remove from the list of suggested places. Not yet uhuru.

What a surprise! This eatery has outstanding food. It may seem out of the way, but its very well worth a visit. Although it is relatively new, if they keep up this quality and presentation of food, beware all the fancy wine estate restaurants, you have a major competitor at your doorstep. Prices were very reasonable and the service was efficient and friendly.

We have just had a late lunch/ early dinner here watching the sunset drop behind the mountains.The food was exquisite and the service was so charming. We were so lucky to have the lovely Kaylin look after us, she was so helpful with a beaming smile, and is a big reason why we shall be returning very soon. We took a stroll round the grounds whilst we waited for our food and saw a few of the guest houses and the pool, and have decided we MUST come back to stay a few nights too!This place is a hidden gem...BUT it won’t be so hidden very soon so I definitely recommend visiting as soon as you can.Thank you !

What a view. Family friendly, tables so clean you almost dont need plates. Great staff, even better food. Play area for the kiddies, fire place, blankets, and great prices. If you are close enough to come here for a meal, you will regret it if you dont. If youre too far to try this place, get a bigger car and a bigger group. Its worth it

I had french toast and as you can see it was amazing! So delicious!!!My only fault I had with this place is the wait (they mention on the menu that everything is made from scratch so be prepared to wait about 45 minutes for you order) but we waiting about an hour and 10 minutes, also when yours doesnt arrive and they make it in about 10 minutes 🤨🤨.But it tasted good and Im just moaning because I was a pregnant woman waiting to be fed.

The other reviews are great so I will give benefit of the doubt and assume everyone was a bit busy. The food was awesome, the views are really relaxing and people are generously friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating as you like, but a tiny farm stall, more like a shelf. Sadly the waiting times were more than an hour for the food and asking for the bill took 50minutes before decided to get up and ask again. Sitting here now, we still havent received the bill and our waitron is still just walking past us. Not great. Big tables favoured over small families.I made the original review long ago. Downgrading to 2 stars as nothing changed.

I was taken to this restaurant on Friday afternoon. Driving in to the property I didnt know what to expect! What a surprise... Food was of superb quality. So well presented. I was extremely impressed with their winelist. This is really a gem. When I visit my family in future I will definitely go there for a meal again.

Visiting Obiqua Café is an excellent opportunity to teach young children and even some adults the way of the farm life, but not only is Obiqua café surroundings that are most awesome, it is what and with what care they prepare their food 🍲 and drinks.The café has become well known for their superior food and attention to detail how they care about their customers.When visiting them it feels like you are part of the family, from arriving and being met outside to leaving and being greeted by name, makes this café stand out from most of the places I have visited.Wonderful staff and management that is child friendly and whom is always smiling ☺ thank you Obiqua Café, you will see us soon

We quickly popped in for a drink while driving through Tulbagh. We were welcomed by friendly and attentive staff. Menu was incredibly comprehensive and the wood fired pizza oven was inviting. Will be back for food when in the area again.
