I had ordered a 1/4 lamb bunny, bone in, I had not realised that the bone in option was made from the off cuts, of the boneless option.My bunny was filled with bones and a large glassy potato.It is a pity, because the curry gravy is unequivocally the best -store bought - I have ever had.

I was driving along Rivonia Road last Thursday and came across Spice Kitchen! Best discovery I have made in a while. Fast forward to a week later and I have been back 4 times! To say the food is excellent is an understatement! The staff are extremely friendly and help. Try their Lamb masala breyani! You won’t regret it! Authentic Durban grub that reminds you off home! Get use to my face causing I will be back! Thank you Annie, the chef and all at Spice Kitchen . You guys ROCK!!!

This is a really nice place for all the Indians. I had a vegetarian bunny chow with the smaller beans and it was fantastic. Highly recommended to all Indians so that they can remind what real tasty Indian food is ...

Tried Spice kitchen today for the first time. Heard some good reviews from friends at work. When it came to the food I cannot fault it, except for my wife finding a few small pieces of red meat in her chicken dhall ghos curry. When I placed my order I was told it would be ready in 20 mins. Long story short, we got our food an hour later. People after my order got their food before me. They basically forgot my order. Like I said the food is good but there is work needed on the service and to make sure they dont mix red meat into their chicken dish.

Have always loved this place since it opened, but lately the quality of the beans curries have exceeded the usual yumminess, been the third time now, wonder if the chef or recipe has changed. The bunnies we had today were the best weve had anywhere - even in Durban! Keep it up, Spice Kitchen!!

Excellent Durban curry.I ordered the Lamb Curry takeaway with potato and lamb samosas and everything was delicious.The samosas were also some of the tastiest Ive ever had.

Decent Indian food that is available from Monday to Sunday. Good for when you dont feel like whipping up a curry at home. Phone for daily specials.

Ive been following the Spice Kitchen on Instagram for a bit, however, they arent a stone throw away. We were in the area today and decided to try the lamb breyani and soji. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised with the breyani.. Reminded me of home (Durban). It is a bit on the pricey side but other than that no complaints... I havent tried any other meal in the menu but this one we throughly enjoyed :)

I placed my order and had to wait over 30 minutes for my order. Need to employ more kitchen staff to churn out orders quicker. Some Mr Delivery guys had to wait longer than i did...think about it ...for delivery guys time is money that is the only criticism I have. The debonef lamb bunny chow (though very expensive) was very delicious

Absolutely great sugar beans bunnies. Had it 3 times so far and it is consistently good. The carrots in vinegar are also done very well and you can buy extra.

Food quality and flavor is incredible. Curries are packed with flavor and gravy has good texture, not watery or runny. Certainly good value for money and one of the best bunny chows in Northern Sandton region.

Their lamb bunny is to die for. It had to have been the best bunny Ive tried in JHB.

Visited this place for the first time. Service was quick and friendly. Was impressed with the take away boxes for the bunnys. Taste was not a proper durban curry but very tasty. Unfortunately the bunny was extremely hot. Wife couldnt finish hers and suffered after. Mine was hot as well but Im used to extra hot.

We made an order as a team at work on Friday. The order was not correct. They left one bunny chow and the masala chips didn’t really have masala.It was disappointing. We had to call and had the bunny delivered. So disappointed and I won’t be ordering from here again.

Ordered the broad bean quarter bunny which was very good with the chilli not overpowering the flavour of the curry. Both the sugar bean and broad bean curries are vegan with no ghee used.

I ordered the mutton and roti. The food is quite over priced, the portion size is OK but the quality and taste is terribly lacking. Indian cuisine needs to be full of flavor but the only taste I got is of curry powder. I am truly disappointed and dont think I would eat here again.

Bought a burger there today ..was tasty indeed and definitely worth the price ...but my only suggestion is that they need to tone down on the spiciness...as not everyone can tolerate that level of spiciness..so maybe offer a medium and then the superhot one that I had today and couldnt even half of it and so did my friends ...they love spice kitchen but maybe its time the owners listened and did something about it. And most definitely it will increase their revenue because then more people will support them ...and mabbe affiliate to uber eats as well ..

Decent chow, good flavor, nice service, Lamb curry and bunnies arent too fatty, sometimes got too many bone pieces but thats life, nice place to sit with family.

Expensive food that’s not worth it.Ordered a lamb briyani, inside was just four small cut bone pieces of tender lamb, hidden away in a very non sensical large portion of rice and lentils with all of one struggling potatoe.The most disappointing thing aside from the poor serving, was the side of dhaal, with 5 table spoons on the side to accompany the copious amounts of rice.All for R110. I Wouldn’t recommend this place, there are much better places in Midrand and Randburg.

Pathetic! Ordered a sandwich and asked for a soya patty. They gave me a lamb patty in it. I orders via Mr delivery. Spoke to a guy there and he says that I must bring the sandwich back. Service is pathetic.
