The Butter Chicken which comes with no rice is way overpriced for soup and 3 pieces of small chicken the taste was very bland. The vegetable curry was great and much better than Butter Chicken which should be the opposite for me as I love meat. Chicken Briyani was ok hope they can step up their game!
I ordered the Copper Chimney Express Meal (R140), which was supposed to come with, amongst others,4 malai cubes and 4 Tikka cubes. However, the meal did not come with the malai cubes at all (not even 4 Tikka cubes as a substitute). So basically, I did not get what I paid for and feel a little cheated. This also makes me feel all the more cheated, as the chicken tikka cubes were super delicious, moist and tender. If they gave me that in lieu of the malai cubes, I would have been quite happy with that, but, alas, that wasnt the case. Now, with that out of the way, let me tell you that the chow was really good and I enjoyed the meal tremendously. Like noted above, the Tikka cubes were divine and I would even order that on its own as a meal. The Tikka cubes were even better (I feel) that the quarter chicken itself. That being said, the tandoori chicken was made really really well, very tasty and not dry. They portion size was also good. In fact, it gave me that tandoori chicken taste I was craving and hadnt gotten in a long time. It is important to note that the Tikka cubes still tastes better than the satisfying quarter chicken. Now onto the seekh kebab, I really enjoyed this too, it wasnt dry, a good punch of spices and a good kick of heat. I would also buy the 4pc seekh kebab as a standalone meal as a result of the way the seekh kebab was prepared. The sauce it came with also complemented the meal really well.I only didnt like that their rotis are too small, too thin and a bit dry, like its not fresh but perhaps reheated from frozen. It is okay and went down okay. The portion of chips that came with the meal was decent and was sufficient for the meal. All in all, a good meal with good value for money compared to other indian/pakistani joints around nearby. It would have almost perfect if they just gave my 4 missing cubes like they should have.I would recommend the meal and going try some other char braai items on the menu in the near future
Worst food ever, dont waste your money and time. So called Mutton biryani had just 1 piece of meat n old rice. They will rip u off if u do take away!!!! Avoid them.
Deserves zero stars for the service by manager and for the tiny & overpriced butter chicken where it was just butter soup and few unseasoned chicken strips
Not impressed overall. Chicken was dry and chewy and prices are restaurant-like considering this is a takeaway joint.
This place deserves zero stars ! Copper Chimney should be thankful that I didnt take them to court after the way I was treated and the expired food I was given. The manager is the most disgusting human being I have met and I will never ever go anywhere near that place again and I wouldnt advise people to order food there because they are very much capable of giving you last weeks food and then watch you from outside while you eating, and the minute you leave come back and have a good laugh about it!
Great exquisite Indian dishes. Love their daily specials. Available during load shedding days too
Buccleuch branch: I have found that the standard has dropped drastically. Previously I ordered the lamb chops- when I got home they were thick, tough and still had some blood. I took it back and the gentlemen advised that they didnt have their regular cut of lamb.Last night I called to ask if they had their regular chops- he said yes. When I ordered telephonically he didnt ask if I wanted mild or hot. I collected and when I got home-the chops were small, fatty and had raw marinade on top. I had to grill them in the oven to cook more and scrape off the incredibly hot marinade.I really gave this place a chance, the service is bad- possible language barrier and the meat, quality of food is poor. Perhaps the veg options and chicken is better.I will not recommend this place to anyone nor will I ever go back.
Fantastic food especially the naan
Didnt have something which was on the menu that I wanted.Service levels are average here. Also please note that this store does not swipe for under R50. I found this a little too ridiculous.
Excellent service and good food every time,
Cheating on the name of indian food , they dont know whats indian food
Walked in and walked out the place didnt look clean and appealing and not a customer or order taker in sight.
Food is okay, not like it used to be when they first opened up. Quality of service and food has dropped.
The food quality has dropped , the old management was more customer centric
Bunnys are one of the best I have tasted
