Always a vibe. Okay food but no one is really there for the food are we now, were there for thr vibe and the views. Good service. Beautiful views all around. Balcony is very therapeutic & the perfect place for the perfect picture. Always a good experience. Go to place for chill as, dates, meet up etc highly recommend.

The Sandeck is a wonderful rooftop garden experience, for any that want to view a spectacular sunset in an urban jungle. All the private nooks offer the comfort of privacy and create different experiences throughout. The cocktails and food match the high level of sophistication being served here.

San Deck is one of the most phenomenal places to come for a sundowner straight after work. It offers magnificent city views of the centre of Sandton and is a very high-end place to sit and enjoy. Apart from a great menu and a gorgeous setting - what really sets this restaurant apart is the service. All the staff, from the waiters, barmen, and front-of-house are exceptional - they are kind, friendly and really do ensure that one is having a pleasant time. They are definitely the reason why I come back here again and again.

Best place for individuals, couples or groups. It has an intimate indoor setting and a vibrant outdoor setting thats overlooking the Sandton skyline.The stuff is very friendly and always eager to help while the food is very tasty and leaves you wanting more. Great place all-round.👌🏾

A lovely venue but the worst food Ive ever tasted in my life. The presentation was great but the Butternut Soup and the Prawn and Avo dishes had to be returned.The manager tasted the prawns himself and agreed that they were inedible. They were supposed to be poached but they were ice cold and it was difficult to put a fork in them. The fish also tasted awful.The curried Butternut Soup tasted like it wanted to be a curried dessert.Not a place I would return to in a hurry.

Loved the setting, its absolutely a beautiful place to be... Didnt really appreciate how the waiters just bring drinks without us asking for them... Also theyre kind of short staffed because you wait for so long to be attended to. Otherwise its a great place to chill.

Super slow service. Waiters would refuse to serve us instead they claim someone else is coming.. waited 45 minutes before a waiter took our order. This waiting is apart from the actual waiting to get seated which was another 30 minutes or so waiting at the bar. Other people would get served in front of us. The views are great and the music is nice but honestly it would be the last place I choose to spend my time and money at.

I once came to San Deck for my birthday dinner some years back. Always enjoyed the setup. The bonfires are a nice touch.. A little section for insta-worthy photos and just a general chilled vibe. Apparently a little emptier than usual during lockdown but the numbers suited me just fine as I’m not fond of people bumping into me for space or passage. I was disappointed tho to see they do not offer tapas, that in itself killed the experience for me, I just wanted little nibbles, a drink and some laughter.Otherwise , it’s nice enough.

I love this place, its so beautiful & the staff is always friendly.I would recommend you go there on a Sunday, its a nice, chilled place to catch up with some friends before heading to work on Monday.If I could give more stars I would.

Found a hair in my oxtail. When I told the manager he simply told me that it was a hair from the cow and that it’s normal to find cow hair in oxtail. Is this normal? I think it’s acceptable to find any hair whether animal or human hair in a high end restaurant. In shock that the manager didn’t find anything wrong with it or do anything about it.

It really deserves a 5 star but i give it 3 because the service was super slow for me but they were attending people who got there after us, it was like they judge if they should give you an excellent service or not. But all in all everything was great despite the service.

Great place to go for some sundowners. Theyve got food as well as alcohol and plenty of chill area. I ordered some craft beer and my mate ordered some food, we both enjoyed it. The music was good and the view was better. Its an open space so you can freely discuss business or pleasure without much concern.

Lovely atmosphere. Female waiters really stand out and offer great service besides them being busy. The gentlemen could learn a thing or two from their female colleagues. Had a miscommunication regarding a booking but the manager/supervisor made sure to sort it out. Will visit again.

Very receptive, food was amazing, roof top was the best experience, music was very chilled, lights were out of these world, took pictures in different sites and the service was outbofnthis world.

The view is breathtaking. The service is phenomenal and the overall experience was amazing. I had their lamb shank that was paired with some mash and it was so soft and juicy, was literally falling off the bone. This is definitely a place to get away to have some sundowners.

I was staying at their hotel and was eating their food 24/7 and let me tell you something they don’t miss. From the san breakfast to their oxtail dinner and everything else in between 💯💯 the food is top tier💯💯

Shockingly bad service. Must be the worst I have experienced in a long time in JoBurg and I have been to a lot if places. The staff honesty have no interest in being there. 15 minutes wait to even order a drink during quiet time and in the end had to hunt down a waiter. Food delivered with grudging comments. Seriously this place needs an upgrade and embarrassing for guests at the local hotel who probably think all of JoBurg has such bad service and hostile staff. Excellent location which could do way better... good decor does not compensate for bad service.

Great spot but you have to be specific about how you want your food at times. Only then will it be that good! The music was also great but lockdown rules meant it had to be stopped at a particular time. Would definitely go back though. Oh their Soweto Master Brew is just Soweto Gold, thought it was a special craft thats unfamiliar

This place is really good for sundowners. Their food menu is a little limited with an even tighter choice for vegan/vegetarian meals. Their drinks menu, however, is quite satisfactory. The space is big, both inside and outside, with the outside having gas heaters, some fire spots and a view of some of Sandtons really nice buildings.

This is a great outdoor place. Enough space to walk around with the baby prem. I loved every moment of it and it was so much fun. The sun was shining bright and pictures came out perfectly. Nice views and great service. I loved it

Talk about 5 star food.Its beautiful with beautiful balconies to enjoy Sandton view from the top. And the food is not that expensive. But still soo delicious and classy. If u in Sandton try this.

Amazing place, from the entrance, to the views outside. Whether its a group outing or date or whatever you are accommodated. You fit in no matter what. The prices very affordable and reasonable. The service is too notch, our waitress was Christina she made us feel at home. Big ups to San deck

While staying overnight at the Sandton Sun hotel, we had a late luncheon of mushroom and truffle soup. Wow!! It was really superb. Staff was reasonably attentive and friendly. COVID-19 regulations are carefully followed

The place to go for a nice chilled, vibrant and social scene. Great for date night, or a day out with the girls, where you can dress up and enjoy some good music and a good meal or drink. However it gets full and communication is terrible with the guests, we waited for up to and hour before we were let in. So come with some flats because no seating is even offered, and that did not work with my cute outfit, myself and a few other ladies had to go sit in the loo, not cool.

Place is stunning, prices are decent for its location.However, if youve been there before the refurb, you might be disappointed..I used to looooove this place for the unique looks, now... its just a Sandton roof top modern bar...Still great views... but lost that charm

Its a beautiful atmosphere and we were seated by the hostess in such a nice spot near gas heater and fire pit so even as the sun set, we were not cold. The service was horrid. Our waiter was rude and we asked for our drinks with straws, never brought the straws. Ordered water and waited 45min for it to be brought after asking multiple times, at this point we decided to leave and reported it to the hostess.
