We made a short notice booking on Saturday for Sunday. Byron helped us and was very friendly on the phone. When we arrived on Sunday Jason together with his sister (the children of Byron) greeted us warmly. From the word go we felt welcome. We did a short 4.8km hike. We saw lots of giraffe and also some zebras even on this short hike. The pathways are well marked, each hike with a different colour so you will not get lost or on the wrong hike easily. Game drives available at R200pp..We will be back!
Upon arrival someone will give you a quick briefing about what to expect from each of the four trails. Entrance costs R50 per person, and R25 per child under the age of ten. You can pay with cash or card.We did the 7,5 km route during our last visit, which is the longest trail with a lot of uphill sections. If you are very unfit, this route will be a bit challenging. But it is an interesting trail with beautiful scenery and nice views, and I would recommend it to anyone who is up for the challenge. Although there were other hikers, the trails were delightfully quiet, so there werent any large crowds and no one followed too closely on anyone elses heels. We didnt see much wildlife on this trail, only some kudus in the distance, so if youd like to see more wildlife, the 5 km route might be a better option. During our first visit, we saw zebras, kudus, wildebeests and giraffes on the 5 km route, which is flat but has one steep climb. It was nice and quiet during that visit too. There are two other trails to choose from as well - the 4,6 km route and the 3 km route. All the trails are well marked and maintained. You can also visit their restaurant or you can have your own picnic under one of the trees. We enjoyed both our visits and will definitely return.
We did the Yellow Trail (geology trail) it takes you to view the Cullinan mine. Booking is necessary. 😷On arriving the staff are very friendly and helpful. The paths have been cleared and are well marked. Perfect for trail running. It was very clean. I will definitely be coming back to do all the trails.
Excellent service and nature experience the hiking trails 👣 are perfectly marked and there is even a train 🚆 for kids the pub food is great along with the extremely friendly staff
Great 11km hike. We didnt see many animals though.
We attempted the 5km route but had to turn back as the were about 6 giraffes standing right on the route and refused to move. So as to not disturb nature, we turned back. The owners are very friendly and share information on arrival to help you make the hest choice in terms of the route. We will probably try another time. R50 entry fee.
The staff was very friendly and polite. We did the Ecology (green) route, the trail was easy to follow. Had to wait for some Zebras clear the path, but overall it was a pleasant
Trail Running - Lots and lots of tracks, from easy to difficult. Technical (Rocky) with good climbsWe saw Kudu, Zebra, Impala and Wildebeest on our run.Highly recommend, well marked.
Stunning hike. Probably my new favourite hiking spot near JHB. Love the various hiking options. Beautiful place. Makes you truly feel out in nature, with the views and all the animals on the trails.
Had a really nice hike on well-marked trails. Setting is beautiful and tranquil with a large area to braai or picnic after. The staff members were polite and accommodating.
A small quaint little place, perfect for hiking with the family. We took the route that promised the large Cullinan hole but seemed to have missed this 🤦🏻Make sure you take all your own refreshments theres nothing in site for purchasing.Peaceful and safe braai and picnic area for relaxing under the trees.
Love this place and challenging trails I must say❤️

Oh u would love it just as we did while we were there we didnt see many animals but the beauty of flora is amazing in itself and never mind being able to play a good round of cricket or soccer on the feeld above and just being able to sit down and relax after a nice hick
We had a wonderful time admiring Gods nature,as for the mountain trial hiking. I will do it again.
Awesome experience. Loved the game drive and the venue is very refreshing
Great hike. and u could also have a picnic under the bushes at the end. They also sell drinks and food there for purchase
Absolutely nice experience: well laid out trails, good management of crowds, charming owners.
First time, but enjoyed the mtb route (red) tremendously - was an excellent work-out. Will go back there soon.

Perfect place for a hike or Sunday afternoon braai.
Nice little hidden treasure
A must for any hiker. Very scenic.
Great hike. Not too challenging. A good hike to begin with with aspects of difficulty thrown in..but well marked. Well maintained and clean. Plus the bonus of some cool game to view.
Looking for a walk on the wild side close to Pretoria.. Look no further Only tame game
This was such an amazing experience? We were surrounded by giraffes at on stage. Had 9 right around the vehicle, and Byron was very knowledgable. Fantastic experience!
Beautiful nature experience.
A nice varied train with well marked routes. Nice amount of wild animals to see. Clean pool and facilities. Check for ticks when done.
No idea how people rate a place that does not exist. There is NO telephone number for Windy Brow listed anywhere, no website, and the address Google maps give leads to a locked gate with a Private Property sign on it.. will change my review if we can locate it. Maybe it closed down ?
Nice place to hike.
Loved the peace and tranquility. Saw a fair amount if game which was a bonus. Well signed so the routes were easy to follow. Will be back again soon.
Lovely hikes well sign posted. Nice braai area, with pool. We paid R50 for the walk. Would book.

Great
Its just one word beautiful
Just out of my car I found myself near a herd of giraffes, zebras and other gazelles. There are 3 hiking trails and as much for mountain biking. During my hike I met other animals: monkeys, wildebeest, .. It is imperative to call before because a code will be required to enter. I did not know it but luckily the manager sent me the code by SMS while I was in front of the portal. Be careful the park closes very early (16:00).
