Lovely and worth every cent. Hopefully the owners work on first impressions at some point. The shacks of the workers should rather be hidden behind a wall. Toilets primitive but very clean and working. (Thanks!) Tickets valid for 7 days!! If you are not fit, start with the 5km route. It is NOT a joke but excellent exercise and beautiful environment . Very rocky- avoid if you have problems with knees, hips, ankle, etc.

Really nice hiking trail where they allow dogs. There are 3 different trail options with a 5km, 10km and 15km trail. The 10km trail that we took had quite a few hills with nice views over Pretoria East

Plenty of parking available. The entrance was affordable for the experience. We did run into the construction zone but we found our way back and had a lovely time watching the sun rise and the views over the city. The pathways can get a bit rocky with loose stones so be careful and mindful of that. The hike was an overall lovely place with shaded areas and varying difficulties to choose from. Thanks !!

A great place for walks or mountain biking. There is a bit of a shortcut on the 5km trail, which makes it possible for little children to complete the walk. Dogs are allowed to walk off leash during certain times. The entrance fee allows one to visit the farm for 7 days - R55 for adults, children under 13 years are free. There are lots of loose stones & rocks on the walk.

Great views. Great walk, but quite an intense route. Dont underestimate the 10k. It was really tough. I would not recommend anyone doing it with a young dog or young children. If you have bad knees and ankles, this route is not for you.

This was such a pleasant surprise. Beautiful trail, nice little uphill, turns and twists on the path. Makes it feel a lot longer than what it is. Clearly marked, very clean. Lots of cars in the parking, but once on the trail, it is very quiet. Will definately be back for the longer 10km.

Love love love this farm!In the middle of the city, Hedianga is a perfect escape for both person and animal. Once on the farm, you will not say that you are in the city. They also offer a variety of routes, a 5km, 10km and 15km. Once you get to know the farm you can also mix it up.Me and my furry friends cannot go without our Hedianga sessions. This is our piece of heaven.

OMG, amazing hiking trail with wide routes and best of all its animal friendly. 5, 10 and 15km routes that is pretty well defined. PS if the could just have a marker at every kilometers and a place to have a sit down coffee or meal it would be awesome. otherwise the views and change of in area u hike throughout makes this a top 5 places in town to have a hike.

Did the 15km. Unfortunately the new pipeline construction currently ongoing spoils the hike and there are some suttle detours for the first 5km or so after that its clear to the end, there are 2 water points that Ive noticed, 1 about 4km on the route and another at 10km, this is a must for any hiker, I wish they would do something to market the place more, also there are no shop at start where you can buy snacks or refreshments, there are so many opportunities in this place that needs to be utilized, there are sign board for mountain bikers however the route is seriously not made for it, the place looks neglected, the noise in the background that you will hear are the locals cutting trees for firewood so Ive heard from the guy collecting the money at start, someone needs to come and invest in this place for entertainment like the red barn in Irene, Centurion they can utilize the trees for tree climbing entertainment for kids, and so forth, cause this is an Excellent place.

Theres 3 trail distances, the 5, 10, and the 15km. I did the 15km (solo) , and I must say that not once did I feel bored. It can get slippery in some parts where the stream flows and in wet weather. Theres loads of loose rocks, so please focus, something that I actually really enjoyed cause it kept me in the zone. The last 5km of the 15km trail is very challenging and will get the heart rate pumping. This trail is just something. You will occasionally be reminded that youre surrounded by civilisation, but its not enough to dampen the mood. Not sure if the water from the stream is safe to drink, so I didnt try. Didnt see any animals other than cattle grazing. If youre not fond of dogs like me, it can get irritating when the owners struggle to control them when they charge at strangers. I had 2 charge at me and I just stood my ground and on both occasions they stopped in their tracks. I wasnt upset, after all it is a dog-friendly hike trail, so, please exercise some tolerance to dogs.

The hiking trail is so challenging. I would call it The Deceiving Trail. From the eye’s view it looks easy but when you tackle that’s when you feel the strain. The rocky paths makes it more difficult. They have 5km, 10km and 15km trails. I did the 15km trail and I felt it. The trails are clearly marked. Give it a try if you love hiking

Lovely hiking place, those with dogs will enjoy it even more.10km hike is sooo nice, moderate to easy. Yoh, then there is the devil personified in the 15km (the last 6km)! Listen, do not attempt taking the 15km route if you are unfit! The route goes from lovely easy walks for the first 8/9 kms (you will initially share same route as the 10km for the most part) to constant climbs and roundabouts for the last 6/7kms.Maybe if there is an option to start with the difficult part (end) first, then maybe itll be better... Otherwise you will suffer, especially in hot weather like when we did ours (during a heat wave).Clear markings, safe and helpful staff :)
