Beautiful scenery, the sounds of birds and the beauty of the Botanical gardens around you give you a unique scenery while you enjoy a great meal. The only draw back is that it is located inside the Botanical Gardens, so you have to pay to access the park.Instead of having a picnic on the park grounds, i would definitely recommend you eat here after then explore the park. I cannot wait to go back back.

Lovely place. Enjoyed the company of friends and a beautiful environment. Good good, good friendly service. I hate flies. They were circling our food. Do something about this and you will get 5 stars from me. Very popular place. Lots of people. Saw a lot of photographers during our journey through this massive garden. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, the service was good and fast. If must have a complaint it would be about the menu prices, its really ridiculous to pay R35 for a cup of coffee. But other than that I had a really good experience.

This place has a relaxing setting with good food and a friendly service based on my experience.What I appreciate most about this place in particular is the complete natural setting. The harmony with nature is definitely achieved here. In the summer time, the green lush paints the surroundings with luxurious shades of emerald green 🌿🖤The service was quick and satisfying. The cost affordable and simply an alternative to many other places. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to grab a bite close to nature 🌴

It is lovely sitting in the beautiful surroundings of the National Botanical Gardens. We celebrated a 70th birthday tea. Tasty muffins, scones and cheesecake with cappuccinos. Good service. Tuesdays Seniors are given free admittance into the gardens (bring ID).

Had a take-away meal here today. Everything was so fresh and absolutely tasty. Definitely a meal Ill remember for a very long time!

Beautiful surroundings. We only had coffee today and it is in stage 4 lockdown but the staff was friendly and helpful. We will visit again when sit in eating is allowed for some breakfast.

A lovely cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. Sitting outside was lovely. The food isnt overly expensive and was absolutely delicious. The service was polite and quick, though it should be noted that main meals involve a wait of about half an hour before they arrive.

Visited on a Tuesday agai when pensioners get a special discount. Service is friendly and adequate. This is not a fast food outlet. You go to enjoy the wonderful setting.The setting is beautiful among the tall shady trees of the Botanical garden. On ordinary days patrons have to pay to enter the gardens. . But its worth the minor expense.The wine and beer selection was adequate. Food is reasonably pricedHighly recommended. A pair of Egyptian geese with their offspring were wondering among the tables. The burdlife clearly enjoy the visitors.

Pleasant ambience in the open air and under enough shady trees, so you do not sit in any direct sunlight. The menu is small, but items are tasty and pricing is reasonable. The venue is popular, its inside the Pretoria Botanical Gardens, one is surrounded by the foliage of the gardens. There is a catering venue on the side for functions.

We visited the National Botanical Gardens in Pretoria this morning, and stopped in for tea at the Milkplum Café, located inside the Gardens.What a disappointment! The service was terribly slow, the tables were wobbly, the ancient umbrellas were spotted with bird droppings, mildew, and accumulated dirt. The overall impression was that of bad customer service – and very little in the way of maintenance, cleanliness, and hygiene.The “Café” looks nothing like the pictures depicted on their website.Our friends from Canada, who were with us, were not impressed. Surely, places like the Milkplum Café, should attract tourists from abroad, instead of leaving a bad taste in the mouth.I do not recommend this Café to tourists.

A pleasant surprise in the gardens. We went before a concert. The burger was v.good and the rest of the group where very happy with their curry. The place could do with a few more waiters (our waiter Max was v.good considering the crowds and rain). The outdoor covers are showing signs of age and not water proof in the rains. So when we are in the gardens again, we will not hesitate to eat there.

The venue is perfect. Surrounded by the beautiful Botanical Gardens. The food is good and the staff are helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable. The only drawback is that all tables are under the beautiful trees which is fantastic on a warm, sunny day. Not great if its cold or raining.

It is a good place to have some food after exploring the botanical gardens. Not very busy most of the people just stop for quick meals. They however, offer full course meals. Cant say much about the menu and food quality.
