This place is absolutely fantastic.It Is situated in the outskirts of Pretoria ,in an area called Kameeldrift.There is so much to do on the property.You can either book a lunch date,or have a picnic, or even book their spa.The food at the restaurant is reasonably priced and delicious 😋. You will never regret spending time on the property,everything is amazing. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. I am actually going back there soon.

The stay was wonderful, the food was excellent and the overall planning and the execution of the Conference/Seminar was superb. The IT support as well as the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We as a group had nothing to complain about. We would definitely recommend this upgraded place and facilities to anyone that needs to know about Kievitskroon!

My husband and I had last minute plans to celebrate our anniversary. We called at the gate to make reservations at the restaurant and were booked in for a lunch buffet. On entering an employee informed us the buffet was closed and we could either sit at The Library or at Kingsley. But if we wanted a relaxed environment The Library was better.We concurred as we are regulars and often lounge around The Library. We decided to check if there was space available at the spa and we were booked there for 5pm. It was still early so we had some time to kill.When we arrived at The Library there were 2 tables occupied by guests and still plenty of space. We were told by the front desk that we should go to Kingsley. We indicated that we’d prefer The Library since we have a while till our 5pm appointment. The gentleman insisted. When we asked why he said because the person who let us in at the gate said so. When we asked that he calls that person to give us an actual reason, he did, and the response was “tell those people to go to Kingsley.”Not wanting to spoil our day we did as instructed and sat on dining chairs for hours when there was ample space (for other more suitable guests) for relaxing at The Library.If you have a criteria for how you segregate guests kindly make it known so we can decide if you are the type of establishment we want to spend our money on. Furthermore if you have too much money and don’t need guests, thus treat them like kindergarten children, close your doors and spare us the disrespect.

The estate is beautiful, and its quite stunning as you drive in. We received good service from the staff at Kievits kroon, and we were welcomed into the estate. We also really enjoyed the food, it was delicious and the setting for dinner and breakfast was well presented.However, we were disappointed with the room (19). With it being our anniversary, we thought we would be presented or offered champagne, chocolates and flowers considering it was a special occasion. When we entered the room, the power did not work initially (this was a problem later on again), and the only special consideration was the petals in the room - we expected more from a 4 star Wine Estate. The ceiling in the bathroom had a stain (due to water damage), and we felt the room needs a little TLC.

Heaven on Earth hiding right on the edge of Roodeport Dam.From Weddings, Events, Spar, Gals Night Outs, Photo Shoots etc this place is just Gorgeous and also well kept throughout the whole year round.Being a Patron here just leaves your soul satisfied and in a Happy place and also begs you to come back again.

The hotel service was excellent. Bar and restaurant service is Extremely slow. At some point it took over 20mins to get a double hennessy and water (sometimes they forget your order).I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Lunch food was not nice but we were starving. The patty was rubbery and the wedges were still frozen inside so water was oozing out. We had lunch/dinner at a near by restaurant the next day but the breakfast was amazing. The massages and overall spa service was great and the entertainment area is very relaxing.

Venue was great as always, Service not so great. Saturday afternoon I ordered a chicken Salad. Took Very long to come, more than an hour!!! when the bill came it was R70.00 but the menu was reflecting as R60.00. I extended my stay by i more night. when I paid including Spa treatment I was charged R6140, which meant Spa treatment alone was R4000 plus just for a hot stone massage of 60 minutes, 2 express pedicures and an express manicure. we queried this and it was rectified. on Saturday morning after breakfast we drove to town before 10h00 and when we came back after 12h00 our room was not made up yet. we reported this and went to the bar for a drink and snack. we ordered another chicken salad which we ended up cancelling because some ingredients were not available. at Dinner we had to wait a while because we wanted gluten free meals for my wife it took long before a plan was made for her. all this was indicated upfront when we made the reservation.

Staff are very friendly, attentive and obliging. Savory dishes at the restaurant were lovely however the desserts need improvement. This includes the desserts in the picnic basket. The best one was the deconstructed lemon meringue at lunch. My husbands starter on Friday contained a small piece of metal. This was reported and the chef apologized and offered us complimentary wine. This was appreciated. Good to see that the chefs are accessible. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Would be nice to serve some crackers with the many cheeses. Cleopatra, who is in training, served us and she was lovely and friendly. Always obliging. We stayed in the junior suite which was disappointing for the price. It needs a renovation, is severely outdated and is extremely dimly lit. Hot water only lasted 1 shower. The bathroom smelt of wet cement. The most disappointing was the spa. The therapist did not focus on problem areas during the massage, which were pointed out to her at the beginning of the treatment. Even though my back was a problem areamy hands received more of a massage than my back. My cuticles were not even trimmed during the manicure. My nails were painted in the dark and as a result was untidy. Not worth the money at all. The staff make up for all the areas that are lacking.

It was absolutely amazing, enjoyed our TotalEnergies Conference. Service was great, food 😋 and my room was very nice 👌. Thank you for hosting us.

My wife and I had a very relaxing weekend ,property is beautiful some of the buildings, rooms 24 etc. need a little TLC but understandable due to the Pandemic, everything is nice.Our guards at no 24 was very vigilant and we felt safe, the 2 geese, joking.I would recommend it to anybody

We loved spending our 20th wedding anniversary there. Staff went the extra mile to make it special for us! Top class! We got engaged there 18 years ago (garden picnic) and the venue is is still well maintained. Thank you !!!

The Spa is the place to be. The library bar is my second favourite place. Overall Kievits Kroon is a very vibrant place, the restaurants are busy and of course breakfast is a real treat. Book yourself in and I promise you, youll book yourself out refreshed, ready for round two!

Great venue and spa. However with all our meals, the waiters did not seem to want to serve. they almost seemed irritated by the customers. With breakfast, lunch and dinner the restaurants were not busy but had customers who were taking over the restaurants to a point where no one else could hear each other.

Now seems that there is no activities for people that is not staying overnight. No lunch, no dinner, no picknicks. Such a pitty because it is a beautiful place that many people will miss out. I myselfwill not go again then.

I had a great weekend at Kievits Kroon, the staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. There was a slight shower blockage but as soon as I reported it was fixed immediately.

We made use of the Spa facility and had an overnight stay which was very pleasant.It would have been a lot more memorable had the weather been warmer giving us the opportunity to use more of the facilities.We also had lunch at the restaurant and the food was really good.

My husband took me to celebrate my birthday and I was left disappointed and annoyed. The policy states clearly on the booking confirmation that no children under 14 are allowed on the estate and spa. This is the one time in the year that I look forward to a break from my kids, to sit back and relax. Sadly, I experienced noisy, disruptive children both on the estate and Spa.Other issues, the toilet in the room was messed on arrival, the bathroom was small and the shower was tiny like a 600x600 and this was a luxury room. The bathroom door did not close properly, the aircon was noisy and blew directly onto the bed. Our overall stay was unpleasant and memorable for all the wrong reasons. I complained to the GM and all said was sorry, didnt seem to bother her much. The saving grace was the spa and the food. Z was an amazing therapist, E was a lovely waitress and the lady chef was very friendly and warm.

Lovely service. Took my mom and little sister for a spa date for moms 50th. We had a blast, the chef even had a little surprise for mom. We absolutely enjoyed our day there. Kudos to Landi as well, for her assistance and communication. The only issue I had was the room was little chilly (because we went there in July).

What a great weekend getaway. Staff were so accommodating, food was delicious and the grounds are absolutely stunning. The spa treatments were something special and we will definitely be back when the spa renovations are finished.

We arrived at the around 3pm on Friday were directed to our room. We took our bags and went to sit in the bar area for drinks. We were given the eating program not the SPA treatment time.Later went for dinner. The food was amazing.When we got to our room I tried to turn the air conditioning on and failed I called reception and a maintenance guy was sent to check. And said it was faulty. The reception decided to move us to another place. When we finally got settled it was after 10pm. Our beds and bedding was clean I loved it. We went for breakfast Saturday and I had to ask the waitress about the SPA treatment she checked her list and told us that were late. She was kind to show us the area. When we got there we were told that we were late and were offered 2hrs of treatment. I didn’t like the idea of being naked because we were not offered gowns to cover up. We went for a facial on Sunday morning and were asked to undress again gowns were not offered to cover up.

It was a wonderful, quality experience. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely picnic with great food in their beautiful garden. And their spa treatments and experience was absolutely awesome! Would recommend them any time!

Breakfast was a bit chaotic, I would suggest to use the same staggered approach used for dinner.On the spa treatment, I suggest that the time here might be shortened. It felt very long.

We had such an incredible time at Kievits Kroon. A true gem close to Johannesburg (which was a must when traveling with our toddler). The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. We were really blown away by the impeccable service we received, especially from the staff at the restaurant. Our little one can be a bit difficult at mealtimes but we were always met with friendliness, patience and smiles.

Your a 4 * Resort , and you definately pay for 4*s BUTThe Resort need serious upgrade and to look at your service !!!I had to ask for my gown and slippers ( it wasnt put nicely out on my bed with rose petals as in my sisters room). My soap box by the basin where empty.My room key did not work Saterday evening , you could not get it to work again.The swimming pool do not have enough loungers and shade , on Friday we did ask for towels there were not clean ones on the loungers , we still waiting ... Bar service none exitant at the pool.There were an insedant in the A-la -cart rest on Friday evening ~~ Your staff there were Excellent !!!!!No complains about the Spa also ~~ Thanks !!!Variaty and Quantity of food at Breakfast were good !

We booked this weekend in February. On arriving at the spa, on Saturday afternoon for our 2 hour spa package, we were told that there was no booking for us. We were then helped on Sunday morning, but only received an hours spa experience. We were then told that we would receive a voucher for the remaining hour, which remains to be seen. Our room was also not ready at two oclock which then became a bit of a problem as we could not have our spa treatments as arranged. The rest of our stay was enjoyable, hence the 5 score.

I would like to share our experience with you.Firstly, the staff members truly are amazing and must be applauded for their immaculate service. They made us feel special and at home. Secondly, our 3-course lunch was superb and delicious. We had an incredible time eating and drinking bubbly. Thank you so much.Unfortunately, a few things were a bit unfair which we feel you should be aware of and consider to improve / change for future guests experiences. We (myself, my mom and sister) booked the Cultivar Getaway for R11 280, the package included 2 hours of spa treatments, use of the thermae facilities, appetising 3-course restaurant dinner and a delicious 3-course spa lunch.Please take note of the below:1. The rooms were a bit misleading.· Executive suits DO NOT open on a private garden patio, room 104 opened up on the parking lot and room 103 definitely not on a private patio.· We wanted in-room dining as mentioned on your website and we were not allowed.2. Our booking stated that we will have a 3-course dinner instead we received a buffet. You cannot compare a buffet with a small unappetising selection to a fine dining 3-course meal, which we paid for.3. There is an extra additional fee to make use of the thermae spa facilities, the only facility we wanted to make use of was the sauna and it was out of order. How is that acceptable? We paid for a service that was not available.One of our motivators to book at Kievits Kroon was indeed that its advertised as a Wine Estate. As Joburgers, we were super excited to experience a Wine Estate in the Gauteng region, as this is unheard of as the climate does not necessarily allow it. Instead, your staff had to explain to us that theres no wine-producing facilities on the property (BTW the definition of a Wine Estate - where the entire wine-making process takes place in the same appellation). They also mentioned that you are planning to change the name to and add Winelands, please note that term will also be misleading to potential guests. We did not appreciate the fact that your poor staff had to explain this to us, they were put in a compromised position which is not OK, shame man.If there is a wedding or any other functions and you are aware you will not be able to deliver a great service or what is promised on your website do not take the extra bookings.

Very nice rooms and beautiful landscape. However the service was really bad. Starting from the rooms the phone wasnt working,i was forced to walk to reception, information was not communicated properly so i was forced leave things by the entrance gate. The waiters take forever to attend to you even to serve you. Serving me a muffin took them 20 minutes even finishe my coffee

Firstly the area is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We loved the room and what was offered. The only criticism on the room was that it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and the shower was clogged. The restarant and bar was great. Breakfast was amazing with so many options to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

I have visited Kievits Kroon may times over the years and have been very happy with everything, from facilities to service.the facilities are still great, but the service in the restaurant and spa was very bad. everything was running behind schedule for hours. i was really very disappointed with the service.

Wyne our waiter was amazing, Linah, the lady at reception did her best to try make our experience worthwhile.This was an incredibly awful experience at a high ask.Driving from KZN to experience a friends birthday there only to result in us going out because the place is simply not flexible.... I haven never heard such resounding Nos and i hate to be the bearer of bad news so much in my lifetime.Theres other hotels in the area, probably our experience wouldnt have fallen short in the hands of a sound staff compliment.A wasteful, awful experience!

Treatment started 1 hour and 15 mins late despite arriving 20 minutes early. Remainder of treatment, part of package, runs over into lunch booked at Kievet’s Kroon but they can only offer the remaining treatment at inconvenient times causing us to either rush lunch or wait for more hours. We won’t wait since we arrived at 9:40am this morning and offering a treatment at 2:30 or 6:30pm means we should spend more than half a day there for a package that’s only 1.5 hours. Lack of time management and disregard for client’s time. Will not recommend or go back. Instead of a relaxing day we’ve been waiting for over an hour. We were excited but honestly it’s not been a pleasant experience. We arrived excited but that excitement quickly dwindled with all the waiting and shuffling us around.

I just wish the warm pools were open. Well come back once completed. We had a great and peaceful stay. Food was amazing and staff very friendly. Id definitely recommend the place.

Management and client service really disappointing and going backwards. After extending our booking 3 times because the Spas construction was running over, we arrived only to find the Spa was still not ready after we asked if it was.There were also many maintenance concerns from noisy aircons, broken doors and general maintenance that was not done.The only good thing was the food was nice but with slow service.

The absolute worst experience. Mediocre food, filthy disgusting bathrooms (hand towels!? Have you heard of covid 19?), door in the apparently fine dining restaurant keeps banging shut. Would not reccomend this place to anyone. You should be ashamed

Service and treatments were amazing. Spa currently under renovations. Sharon was amazing and is highly recommended! Personally the decor is out dated and needs some touch ups but their service and excellent food makes up for it!

We had an enjoyable stay and loved the spa treatments and beautifully presented and tasty food. The buildings are run quite down generally, our room door didnt lock and having a panic button in the room did add a level of anxiety you would not expect from being at this beautiful place. Lots of building work etc going on with a new spa, thatching etc, maybe a bit more warning.

Covid hasnt been good for business, but this place is great form wine and romantic evenings

We spent less than two full days at Kievits Kroon, however, it felt like a beautiful extended holiday in a tranquil getaway. The welcome at reception created a warm and hospitable first impression which was reflective of the entire experience to come. The rooms were luxuriously flawless and you immediately felt like your stress melted away laying down on those beds. One of the outstanding highlights of our time at the Estate was the food! What a treat! We thoroughly enjoyed the substantial vegetarian menu, and the excellent service of Vincent and Lydia our waitrons.The famous Kievits Kroon picnics far exceeded our expectations! The same standard of dining was presented tastefully in picnic-style foods - all in a very generous quantity! The calm, peaceful backdrop of the lawns and fountains made for a thoroughly enjoyable picnic!Thank you to Yvette, the event co-ordinator, for her generosity! She went above and beyond to ensure we felt most welcomed! Her passion for her job and dedication to the well-being of her guests is inspiring.Kievits Kroon is a gem tucked away in Pretoria, a place complete with the whole package.

Booked a half day spa treatment for my mum and I, and I was pleasantly surprised! Our experience was amazing from the treatments to the three course lunch afterwards.My only regret is not staying there for the weekend. I will definitely have to come back sometime soon.

I honestly loved this place.. We checked in for a day and from the entrance I was taken by the calmness and beauty, we had lunch the waitress and chef were so jolly and welcoming, the food was to die for.. We then went to our room❤️❤️Im out of words.. Perfect escape area and good to spend time with a loved one

The spa treatment was fantastic. We unfortunately had to wait nearly 2 hours for our room (oily and feeling dirty after the full body massage), waited for service from the bar and when eventually entering our room, we were met by ants and the chairs were stained and looked dirty. This has placed a damper on the weekend, but we did not complain as we chose to enjoy ourselves. After taking showers, and while I was still in my underpants the door suddenly opened and a cleaner came into the room to exchange towels. We thereafter went to the lounge area and sat on the porch. Our wine order never arrived and later the waiter said that he had to go to the other bar to look for the wine ordered from the menu, but did not find same. So we told him to leave that and went for dinner. Other than these issues we enjoyed the the spa treatment immensely and the hospitality of the reception was great. The rooms however need a little TLC and service delivery at the bars and restaurant may be done with more enthusiasm.

Myself and sister both booked the Cultivar package. On arrival - Room was not ready, went to lunch and at 13h30 room was still not ready. After the spa sessions (which was refreshing) the room was ready. We went to relax at the pool and I realized that children were now allowed at Kievits Kroon. The Cappuccinos we ordered took more than 30 minutes to arrive only to be cold. At dinner the waitress did not know what the meals consisted of and needed to call someone else to assist. I was booked in room 17 and rooms 24-27 were partying it up until 4am in the morning which disrupted our sleep. Breakfast was good.

We had the most amazing spa treatments and then strolled in the lush gardens.The picnic was an amazing experience and the food was very tasty.We overstayed and looked at the stars afterwards.The only this is that the Jacuzzi was cold.

Booked a room and spa treatment directly from the place. When we got here our room was dirty but there was a sign on the door saying room was cleaned and sanitized. How do you book people into a room that was not sanitized during covid? When we asked they said they were running behind schedule with cleaning, to make matters worse there was no tissue and towels when we arrived.

A very quiet and relaxing place for distressing and outing, with a large swimming pool and a jacuzzi situated by the restaurant and the bar. Allowing you to take a sip while relaxing in the jacuzzi. The spa was under renovations during my visit, so I cannot say much about it for now.

Thank you for an absolutely lovely weekend, it was a fantastic. Beautiful hotel, rooms and grounds. The spa treatments were great and we will be sure to visit again when the Thermae facilities are available. We will certainly be back for another stay soon.

Spent a weekend at Kievietskroon. Chose the most premium rooms available. Spent money in the restaurants etc on the premises. Rooms were great. Food was great.However the approach Kievietskroon has by having your vehicle searched by security when you do checkout spoils a weekend and will not have me as a returning customer.

Kindly stipulate the dress code for children. My 15 year old daughter was refused entry in the restaurant for wearing a bikini top and long pants. She was told other guests are uncomfortable even though we planned to go for a swim after breakfast. She was down her entire stay, didnt even swim, stayed in the room until we checked out. We hoped for a lovely get away but ended with a long sad stay

I decided to treat my husband for his 50th at Kievietskroon. Best idea! Everyone made us feel so welcome and the service was excellent! We had a very nice dinner and breakfast in our room, as per Covid protocol. Spa treatment was so relaxing and had a superb picnic afterwards, with staff singing happy birthday to my husband. I will definitely recommend Kievietskroon.

A true hidden gem. This place was a really good pick for a couples weekend retreat. I doubted the rave reviews but the scenary is really reminiscent of the Cape Winelands with lush green sculptured gardens that provide the perfect setting for the picnic lunches served by the estate. If the greenery is not your style, then you can relax by the modern pool area, with sparkling blue water and full bar service. The rooms are well acquainted and loved the french press for the perfect cup before breakfast. The staff are friendly, responsive and always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable. The only let down was the buffet dinner but the champagne breakfast more than made up for it. Highly recommended.

No vegan options on the menu, hardly vegetarian option either. Spa was freezing cold- no heater rooms and my electric blanket on the massage chair did not work. Chose to do my nails with the option, had to ask the technician to please get the UV light to dry my nails after she insisted that my nails where dry by blowing on them. She reluctantly got the UV light and shined it for 30 seconds on each hand, needless to say all my nails smudged when getting dressed.Poor service and overpriced average rooms.

From arrival to departure. My experience was calming and pleasant. The scenery was gorgeous with a Cape Town getaway feel to it. The restaurant was lovely with mouth-watering food. An absolutely amazing place!!!

Very beautiful... staff is very shy but friendly. Rooms are amazing and the pool is very relaxing. I would definitely recommend it. Food takes some time but its exquisite 👌
