Exceptionally clean and an amazing entrance - see photos. I asked for assistance twice from two different staff members and both times I was greeted and quickly assisted due to their product knowledge. Very impressive. If I loved closer, I would have shopped here far more frequently. The only downfall is the limited parking space on both sides of the building, but it will be worth the effort!

The cashier rude. Does not greet customer. Just keeps talking to cashier. Packet throws things in bags. Walks off without packing everything.

My least favourite place to shop. Bad service and energy-draining atmosphere. Theyre always out of specials and its like shopping in a morgue. I only go there when I absolutely must. The front end staff at the tills just seem demoralized and uninterested, and like its an effort to do the most basic things. Not a happy place at all.

Visited on 2021/08/10 wanted to buy some muffins. The only ones available was a mixed container of 12 which was fine. Got to the till at the express point with the Muffins but it couldnt be scanned. No barcode or price on it. The lady at the till said she cant scan it as it had no price . Asked her if she could get someone to get the bar code. Then the excuses started.My wife went to the fridge/shelf where we got it and removed the bar code and took it to her. She wasnt satisfied as the bag contained a mixture and the price tag didnt say so. That was the only price tag on the shelf of the fridge? She still didnt want to call someone to assist and she even told us to go to Spar it would be easier?? Is that the service Checkers pride themselves on? This wasnt the first time we were treated like this. Extremely unhelpful staff.

I love my checkers but Ive noticed there are young guys that approach you pretending to be super friendly and quite useless asking you to pay for their groceries which isnt alot, and then after you pay their R100 groceries they dissappear back into the shop to catch the next guy. Beware of these thugs

This is the most useless checkers ever. Their service is shocking. Two counters open 16:00 on a friday end of the month and 5 cashiers standing around chatting and doing nothing.

It is 5 oclock in the evening. Its peak time, and for some reason there is only 2 cashiers, who i must say work very sliw, and then there is one cashier at the express. How pathetic is that?But hey, atleast the online shopping has 10 people working at once.

Being harassed in the shop by beggars that will not leave us alone. Security does nothing. Bothered several shoppers, followed us around. Did half of our shopping and left.

Service, stock and generally everything has gone downhill since it opened.If you can move around all the packing trolleys, you then have to dodge the 60 second packers who will knock you over if ou get in their way.They dont have stock of a lot of every day products, the tellers, are rude and the manager hides in his little office while customers queue up isles because only 2 tills are open at a time! Today 2 members of staff cut infront of me at the till to buy their lunch.I found the floors and shelves to be quite dirty.I will travel to loftus instead.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, theyll gladly help you find your last grocery list item. Oooh, their fruits are fresh and affordable.

As a treat I bought 8 portions of deep fried hake for lunch. It was most disappointing. No one in the family could eat it. It tasted like it was cooked the day before and heated up. Dry chewy and tasteless. Never again.Then on my way out I ordered some pancakes. Sad to say not even the birds are interested.I’m wondering how on earth one manages to get it so wrong with simple foods.Good luck with the rest of your ready cooked foods it won’t be on my wish list ever again.

The manager, Korsten, is very friendly and helpful. I experienced a slight problem with fresh fruit salad on a scorching day. Korsten took my suggestion to heart and apologized and replaced the salad. Exceptional service!

I live in Gezina just under checkers in gezina gallery! And time and time again i keep comeing back in the hope that maybe the service would be beter but they keep proofing me wrong!! Knowledge of there own system is little to none!! Willing to help none!!! Knowing there own products none!! By the fourth time i just decided i will never come back! I only came back for 1 single product that for some reasone they never stock at a other checkers but not even that will bring me back to this place EVER!!

Quite impressed with the overall experience of visiting Checkers at Queenswood Quarter. Shelves are mostly well-stocked, with great product variety and freshness as well. I especially enjoy the bakery - hands down the best donuts and choc-chip cookies Ive ever had. Cashiers are super helpful and friendly and Im especially impressed with the managers who are always willing and ready to lend a hand. The pictures shown just need to be updated though...the Shoprite featured in the photos had been demolished ages ago to make way for Queenswood Quarter, which includes the aforementioned Checkers. The physical address is also incorrect as Queenswood Galleries no longer exists and is now known as Queenswood Quarter.

Since my last review the store has improved somewhat. Except for the leaky roof. Except for the small isles always blocked by Checkers supplies trolleys. Except for the Checkers staff that physically bump you out of the way (no jokes, one almost knocked my phone out of my hand and didnt even say sorry). But its getting better. The tills have improved and I havent accidentally purchased any expired products since my last review!

Got there monday morning just after 8. One till open. Other Cashier and manager in argument as to when she should start working. Cashier eventually walked over to till kicked the chair and threw her money bag down. She called me over from the other till point.She assisted me but when I asked about a product not on a shelve the staff wasnt interested in assisting more interested in complimenting each other on make up and dress. Not the first time to have such bad service. Staff seems to be on a fashion parade and more interested in themselves than in helping clients. Wont buy there again!!!

Very impressed with the selection of goods as well as the availability of stock. The store almost always has what I need. But i have the same complaint as everyone else and that is about the staff. They always have such a drained look on their faces and its like pulling teeth to get a friendly Hello from them. I had an incident with a cashier with so much attitude that she was just throwing my goods down the till so hard that she actually cracked one of the plastic storage containers I bought! Management needs to seriously evaluate how they are treating their staff and need to improve their morale. I feel dread going to the tills to pay for goods and the only reason I keep on coming back is because they stock stuff that other stores in the area dont have.

Have most of the goods that I normally buy, thought that I would buy some pancakes today (rainy weather and all), when I got home myself and my family tasted the pancakes and it was sour and horrible, dont know if someone dropped the vinegar in the pancake mix or what went wrong, money wasted!!

Fresh fruit and dessert counter very attractive and clean with a good variety. Limited range of salads and not very imaginative. Hot food counter had flies hovering over chicken pieces.

A beautiful new place for shopping in Queenswood. Not necessarily cheaper prices, but have several we plush shops with well-gardened streets and sidewalks to tantalise the senses. It should be a place to visit whenever you visit Pretoria

Dissapointing customer service. 5pm and there is no buns in the shop. Staff says there is no buns, which is unacceptable because the shop closes at 8pm and both staff members was just standing there and looking at me. Some products are missing prices or mislabeled and when you ask the staff, even the manager just walks passed you or just stares ar you. Definitely not going to buy there anymore. Its extremely disappointing for a new Cherkers to open with such low standards and dissapointing customer service. Cherkers wont even do anything about this reviews, which makes this pointless. Go to spar queenswood for tips and training on proper customer service.

Tried to enquire if they stock anchovies. Was transfered to the manager, who did not know what anchovies are. Then told they do not have stock, solves their problem!

I will NEVER buy from CHECKERS again!!! I bought chicken sosaties which smells sour, the Club T bone which I bought has got dry blood clots, skilpadjies that was green inside!!!! Today the fridges was dripping with blood. Cold meet with mould in the packages! WTF??!!

This medium sized supermarket has the basic necessities. Nothing too fancy and nothing spectacular. Isles and general appearance is good and fairly clean.

Probably the worst customer service I have ever come across. Deli staff refuse to serve customers, cashiers refuse to speak to clients despite friendly attempts at conversation and stock has no pricing. Rather go to the Woolworths food across the road. Found same products cheaper with friendlier service.

This place barley opened and already basic stock is not controlled. Could net get normal tonic or Calmata olives. All the whole chikens has expired on the rack the ons Sunday.
