Having both the supermarket (which is huge) and a pharmacy inside is already enough to given them 5/5. However, the place is clean, lots of space between the isles and staff is super friendly and helpful. If you want to get more done in one place then this place is a must.

Helpful employees, fresh produce, great fried fish, good bread and cake counter. Good selection of cold meat. My opinion one of the better food markets in our area.

I am so fed-up when products are marked wrongly and when you noticed and enquire about it, the manager - Caroline - makes you feel that you are wrong... The shop overall has a good reputation with nice, friendly staff most of the time, but unfortunately one individual, especially when in management, might do more harm than good. Unfortunately the saying is true that something is as good as the weakest link. I am not a happy customer and will most definitely not support Checkers Gezina again.

This is merely a suggestion and I truly hope management takes it into consideration.Please stop storing the wine boxes on the floor as it obscures the ground level wine prices.Also, your pies are delicious and cheaper than other places, but its always served cold which obviously spoils the whole experience.

This store has almost everything and is a one stop shop for most of your grocery needs. Its simply average in terms of a grocery store. Theres nothing that they do extremely well, nor do they perform poorly. It is what it is, a Checkers.

The staff here are really unhelpful and rude. Also why dont they have prices on some of the fruit (the staff was unsurprisingly unable/unwilling to help me get the prices). The meat section is also gross sometimes. I love checkers in general, but I only go to this one because its close to where I live. I do not like posting negative reviews, but I want people to be informed.

Good variety, prices are also good, service is so so. This shop is located at the back of the shopping center about 100 meters from the entrances making it difficult for old people.

In general, I usually only shop at Checkers, good service and prices not too bad. I was really disgusted when I went to your store @ Gezina today - the trolleys that you put the baskets in (the small trolleys), were disgustingly filthy, how do you expect customers to put food in those trolleys, Ive lodged a complaint with one of the managers, so well see if anybody is going to do something about it.

Staff not friendly at all.

Lovely checkers. I still give a five but the staff behaves very unhappy, unfriendly and not in contact with customers. Stores in Australia has automatic tills. Staff need to start looking after their jobs. Hopefully owners could show this review to staff at the tills.

Why is it that you never seem to have enough shopping baskets available? 3 out of 5 times I can never find a single one. Plenty of big trolleys but no baskets if you dont plan on buying many things. FIX THIS. OR PUT ME INTO CONTACT WITH YOUR REGIONAL MANAGER CAUSE CLEARLY THE MANAGERS HERE ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOBS. MAKES ME WONDER WHAT EXACTLY IT IS THAT THEY DO HERE???!

Great store with friendly staff but layout is not logical. Needs someone to actually re-arrange the sequence of the products so it makes more sense. To have toys and gifting between meat and spices just does not do it! You end up wasting a lot of time hunting for products. I am very sure this is not the usual floor layout plan for a Checkers.

This is a big shop with a decent variety of goods to choose from. They have a nice bakery were the buns are nice and fresh. The only annoying thing is that the queue at the tills are a bit crammed with the additional displays they put in that area. Makes it a bit difficult to maneuver up and down the isles when the shop is busy.

Very rude and lazy staff , they expect you to pack your own stuff and throw your food as if you getting it for free

I am a senior citizen, went to checkers on 25 November for long life milk of which all were R80+. At last I saw checkers full cream for R63.99, getting to the till it was R72.99, on my question why, I was told its only for X-tra savings card holders? I think it is rediculous, theft from the poor searching for specials in order to survive! Misleading and discriminating!

Telephone enquiries needs work. No one answers the phone when asked to put through to the department. Wanted to enquire about cat food, phone just rang, no answer!

I shop at the Checkers a lot but today they really tick me off. Because one of the alarms at the security went off and they sureched my bag like a crimanal, and the staff at the cigarette counter totally looked over ma, while lokking my in the eye, so wierd but not wonderfull. So i dont really want to shop there now.

3 stars because I like all Checkers in general, this one has good variety of items. Fruits and vegetables are way too expensive... Like R16.00 for 2 oranges. Bakery isnt like other Checkers, they definitely need to upgrade or more training for the staff.

ONCE AGAIN too little till points open... Been standing in a row for 30 mins now... Causes congestion in the isles.Of the 20 odd tills only 8 was open....And its been like this for a looong time (possibly years).!And weve also had some teller staff be rude a few times in the past.Poor management!Look at the reviews and judge for yourself.Abosulety disappointed.Im going to try avoid this shop as much as possible, and so should you.

Month end, only few cashiers, pancakes does not have suger and toasted dagwood had only 1 piece of tomato, 1 piece of bacon , 1 piece of cheese, 1 piece of greens and 1 teaspoon of chicken, between 3 slices of chewy bread. No no you can do better

Most staff members at Cherkers are not friendly or welcoming. There is no consistency when it comes to providing customers quality service, with some of the basic things like safely packing food(they throw your food) or even packing things in a plastic. I will not forget how terrible one of your employees(Mary) treated us, she didnt greet,smile,interact and just sat down and not offered to pack our things. Her excuse is that on express tills, they dont pack things for customers, yet on the express till behind us, the other employee is up and packing things for another customer. The bakery area needs an upgrade and happier people, because of the of food left open with flies on them and staff members not showing any sense of urgency to cover the food.

This is one of the best Checkers I have shopped, they have a very good variety.

Unfreindly personal. Have to pack own shopping while staff stands and look at you . Very rude staff packing in on shelfes pushes you out of the way. Very dissapointed not shoping here again

This center is not cycle friendly at all. Security tries to convince me to leave my bicycle in a very unsafe spot where it could be bumped resulting in a bent wheel.

One of the worst Checkers store Ive ever experienced! You pay a fortune for your groceries then there are not even packers and not even talking about the unfit til officers .... they have the hounding of you as a shopper they owe the world! No really if you werent my closest checkers so I never visited you again!
