At 84 years old, having constant trouble with my back and with not good advice from another dealer I purchased the wrong mattress and cannot use it. Bought a Simmons base and mattress set January 2019. Salesperson said no white bases in stock, they could give us a brownish one, not telling us the base was not a Simmons base. Long story short, the base turned out to be faulty; Simmons came out the next day after we registered a complaint and advised us that it wasnt a Simmons base. We again contacted Bed King and after lots of to and thro, they were only willing to supply us with a house brand replacement base. We received this base in January 2021 (from Henwood Bedding their house brand)...after weeks of delays. The manager at Bed King did respond promptly to our complaints, but he was dependent on supply from Henwood Bedding.The first time we moved the new base with mattress on, away from the headboard to pick up something that fell in behind it, one of the feet broke off!!!!My golly!!.. we are older people and moved it (about 45cm) slowly, because the set is heavy!We have now decided to just go out and buy a new Simmons base as the quality of this replacement Henwood base seems to be just as poor as the service we received from their factory complaints department. Also, the material on the base is slippery and the mattress shifts every time you go and sit down on it. (Bottom side of the Simmons no turn mattress is also a smooth material)The only reason we are giving a score of 3 is because the manager at Bed King did try to get our complaint sorted.However, we do feel cheated - after spending that amount of money on a proper bed set and having so much trouble with it and having to spend money again!!
