One of my favourite shops to visit when I go to Pretoria. There us no bit of haberdashery I can think of that I cannot find at Metro. The bridal department is unlimited. Metro also sells furniture, carpets, lighting, linen and practically any thing imaginable for your home from the most impressive range of Egyptian Cotton bedding to the lowliest dish cloth. Gotta Love Metro ❣

Service is lovely, the sales guy was very helpful. This is a one stop shop for all you home needs. The prices are very reasonable for quality items. Bought a 55” inch curved smart Samsung TV and it’s absolutely lovely.

Good variety of dress fabrics, but definitely not cheap, bordering on becomming less affordable. Not a lot of fabric below R100 per metre.Patterns are almost totally unavailable. I wrote up 15 numbers from 3 different makes and could only get 1.

We have bought all our kitchen appliances from Metro as they match and beat prices from other stores. Their lighting section has a wide variety of chandeliers and lights and they are very well priced. We have also purchased material from them and again there is a huge selection to choose from.

Not only very competitive prices but excellent after sales service. Shane fought my case admirably with the supppliers of a product that did not meet expectations and eventually I was refunded. Good show Metro and in particular Shane. You are much appreciated.

If you are looking for something but not certain where to find this amongst their vast choice of fabrics; ask one of the shop assistants. They are fabulous and know the material in the shop really well.

Large store filled with diverse products from home furniture, garden and kitchenware. The prices from this outlet are comparatively higher than other similar stores you can buy from such as Discount Decor in Joburg.I found the staff to be generally nice, helpful and enthusiastic about selling. Product quality is quite tempting in several instances but if you step back to do price comparisons youll most likely find a better price elsewhere.

We were looking for water proofing material to make pillow slips for the dogs continental cussions. The vast array of materials that Metro stocks is absolutely jaw dropping. If they dont have it the scientists have not invented it yet. And the assistent cut the material as straight as the needle to the pole even though the material was folded. Amazing!

The feeling I get about most of the shop assistance is that they are not eager to assist you. This feeling is felt by most of my friends. It is a beautiful shop but the service is not up to standard.

Good variety, prices are ok. Staff can be over bearing and hound you down for a deal, some shoppers might like that some shoppers might like a moment to think of their purchase and options available.

Lots of different kinds of fabrics. The fabrics are beautiful, would have taken all if a could. Staff are honest about what lookd best by your figure and what will work. This I value a lot. They are friendly. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for fabrics to create any type of dress, t-shitt or what so ever.

I found this shop very interesting, we found a specific kind of material that is quite hard to find. The products presented range really wide from clothing, to curtain material and appliances.I recommend a visit to this store.

Metro Menlyn sold us an electronic product with a spec it does not have according to the leaflet. The specification was discussed with the salesman before purchase.The second star is for offering refund when we enquired about it the next day. The Montana branch never even contacted us back with price. We will rather avoid buying electronic items from them in future.

Go there to buy fabricGood variety, the one in pta central is cheaper but this one has a better location. The staff wont help if you dont ask them. Once had a phone stolen there, they wouldnt review camera footage and I suspect it was stolen by a staff member , so keep a clear and careful eye on your valuables

Worst service ever. Waited for a sales person 4 were called for me and each went to help other customers. The sad part for then store is they all walked out empty handed, I already chose a DeLongi automated coffee machine. Needless to say they lost a regular customer in me.

I like this shop as I can find most of what I am looking for. Just wish the staff and cashiers a bit more friendly and helpful. I walked past three staff members where one was having a long chat on his mobile and two others were having a chat with each other as I walked past. Then cashier snatched cotton from my hands as I greeted her and rang it up! A simple greeting or offer of assistance costs absolutely nothing. Manners, people. Manners! 👍🏻

Oh my word... the ladies that cut the dress making fabric are super unfriendly. Clear as day they would rather be anywhere else. Very unhelpful and visibly annoyed to have to assist you. Fabric selection is great so I continue to shop there. Curtain and home decor section has a very different atmosphere. Far more welcoming.

Im very regular customer at Metro Menlyn. Go there at least 3 times a week. But I am sooo tired of buying fabric just to get home and see that there are dirty marks on the fabric.Sometimes the ladies cut the fabric while you continue shopping and I dont always have the time to fine comb meters of fabric to make sure that there are no dirty marks before I buy it. One expects that new fabric that you pay a lot of money for would be clean and well looked after.Today I bought satin. The roll was new and opened to cut my fabric so one would assume that it would be clean, I get home to find at least 5 dirty patches on the fabric.Often times I am advised when I do find that the fabric is dirty that I can just wash it.How are you supposed to wash fabric with raw edges without ending up with a tangled mess? When making products to sell one needs to be able to use the fabric as you get from the shop.

Very nice selection of homeware and linen. They also sell bulk material for curtains and linens and have a variety of baby and kids toys and clothing too. They sell clothing for adults as well as cooking ware. The store is massive and the staff very helpful.
