We stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised at such good service and excellent prices. My husband had the calamari and was very impressed with such a huge portion and good price.

Hidden away next to the beach with a great atmosphere. Food is delicious and pet friendly. Service could improve a bit, but other than that, a great experience. Food is cooked well and reasonably priced.

Lovely restaurant and great food. The cherry on top is that this is our favourite beach to go to. Lawn and trees right up to the beach and you can park almost on the beach. Great tidal pool for the kiddies.

Nice place great prices good view

Had the muscle pot. Half way through bit into an extremely bitter fowl tasting muscle, Obviously off. I reported this to the management and they argued that it could not be. She then told me that she hopes I dont get sick.... Heres holding thumbs.Oh and I was charged for the bowl too.

The place is in a beautiful setting however the standards are not as what they were in the early 2000s. More of a pub than a restaurant

Really nice pub, popular, and literally a stones throw from the seawater. The beach sand is of course closer. Whats not to like? 😁👍

Amazing shady setting right next to a blue flag beach - theres no better place to enjoy a day at the beach on the south coast than here! Awesome sea views. Food is simple but great quality and the prices are really good - sadly no vegetarian or vegan options on the menu yet though. *UPDATE!* Captains now offers a veggie burger - thanks guys ;-)

Lovely beach restaurant with affordable prices

Very disappointing had the calamari, every average, the garlic butter tasted like cardboard.My kids had milkshakes and they lacked in flavour, banana and bubblegum had almost the same taste, lastly, my sons burger looked disgusting and he said it was even worse to eat. Sorry will never eat there again .

I took my father and the rest of my family there for lunch yesterday. In all honesty we had a great day and the food was lovely. The only problem I have was that the crew was clearly not prepared for the traffic the day had to offer. My neighbors down the road from us sat at the table opposite and after waiting more than an hour for their food they upped and left. I felt bad for both sides.

Sat outside, very peaceful and good service.

We were pub crawling and stopped for a drink great location, view and decent service. On a sunny hot day probably one of the best on the KZN South Coast. We cannot comment on the food.

Looks beautiful and great service! Its just that it took them 1 hour to bring our food. But the food is very very VERY delicious! It is really to die for and was worth the wait. Maybe it took long because they were busy!

Excellent service from a very enthusiastic and friendly young lady Nombuso. The food was incredible and well priced. Definitely a place to go!

If you sit outside you can be up to 6 at a table but inside only two per table. First restaurant in the lockdown to make you split a party of 3 into two tables. Very disappointed.

Restaurant also pub next to the South Port Beach. Limited menu. Priced reasonably against market prices. Sometimes one gets live music, but closer to karaoke style. Waiter is friendly and helpful. Situated right where it is necessary. Seating inside or outside is a nice choice. Worth to visit when you are at South Port Beach or vicinity.

Sadly disappointing. We regularly visit this restaurant during our December holiday and have only had very good service. Today we waited over an hour and a half for 2 starters and repeatedly requested to be served refreshments. Upon cancelling the food order and speaking with a manager I was supposedly placated with the age old customer care response of I understand
