Beautiful place with old world charm. Perfectly situated in Paarl and close to shops and restaurants.We had a bit of a problem on our arrival as our spesific requests made via their online site were not met. I suggest checking that any instruction is recieved prior to your arrival. This meant that we were moved to another room which was not prepared. Bathroom ( Shower) was not clean and room not prepped for two people.The room and bathroom was in need of a little touch up maintenance and looks a little tired. With the star rating of this establishment I would expect everything to be Tip-Top.On the up side the room was spacious, the AC worked well and the included breakfast was good.

Pontac Manor is a wonderful, tranquil haven. Its my accommodation of choice when traveling to Paarl. Prices are reasonable, staff are friendly and helpful, the location is central and convenient. Highly recommend.

Wanted to go for a nice breakfast this morning, and although the manger thought it wouldn’t be a problem, our waitress seemed to think it is.. when we wanted to order were giveyto understand in no unmistakable terms, that due to a function in the back our breakfast will require about 1 hour waiting.. or maybe she was just tired and didn’t want to help us??I wonder who got it wrong?? However that a commercial kitchen can’t handle 2 additional breakfasts during busy times is astonishing.One tip for the staff and management if you can’t handle the heat, don’t run a kitchen, and perhaps some training of staff would help..For the foreseeable future .. I’ll avoid this place..

This really made me feel like you have arrived in the picturesque winelands of the Cape. Cape Dutch styling takes you back to those days. Great for small corporate workshops. Great service and excellent food.

We had our first Christmas not cooking and went out ,food awesome,waiter always nearby to assist good experience .

Me and my wife stayed from 2018.10.11 to 14. The first day we booked in we were not greeted at reception and just given the room keys. A small but neat room . At night we found the shower leaking all ovef the floor. There was no extraction fan and whole room misted up. This lead to the electrical short with open downlights which is not allowed in . The window in bathroom would not open and the blind was broken. When we opened the hot water in the shower we could not open the cold tap as this ancient showerhead shot hot water all over the shower. I had to use a hanger to open cold water. I reported it the next morning.In the afternoon we returned and found clean towels in room and bed maid. The electrical problem persisted. The bathroom was however not cleaned. The following day we returned to the hotel at 15.00 . When we entered the room we found the room not serviced. I went to reception and complaint to staff. The lady said the staff hasleft and she was sorry. I asked for a different room which was given to me but was also not acceptable. We left the hotel at 16.00 to search for different accomadation. In the meantime my wife got red spots over her body and i took her to a pharmacy where it was confirmed she was bitten by something all over her body.This is by far the worst experience we had with accomodation in 20 years. This hotel does not come cheap and promise the world. Not true... pleaaaaaase think twice before booking at pontac estate hotel. We are considering legal action . Regards jasper dippenaar
