The grounds and lounge are well kept and stunning.

Its a very nice place the scenery is very beautiful with all its greenery and the golf course as well.

This is a beautiful venue and the lawns are lush. The outside area is very well maintained. We were a group renting a house through Golf Safari SA. The unit was lovely but seems as if it has not been maintained for a while as some of the house fittings were loose, like towel rings and lights. The BBQ was rusted and unpleasant to look at and use. The entry into the venue was a mission. It took us 45 minutes to get in, being stranded at the security gate, despite being pre-approved for entry. It was a bit easier when we went out for a morning and had to return, but that is because we made a point of notifying security. Some security officials were helpful, others seemed totally lost... When you enter they dont give you a map, so you have no idea where to go. And when we asked where the unit was the security didnt know. The Rules also say no noise yet we experienced very loud partying noises across the lake on both afternoons.It was quite frustrating to pay so much and experience such inconveniences.

Pearl Valley Hotel is a luxurious hotel, with large, airy, comfortable and modern hotel suites.Most of the suites have either water or/and mountains views.Besides the obvious attraction of the golf course there are kilometers of safe countryside walks.Interesting birdwatching, especially water birds on site, is a bonus.The sparkling pool seems to be a big attraction during these hot late summers days.The most delightful Backs Deli & Restaurant is on site!The Delis chef, Ruan Turner, creates nightly, delectable speciality dinner mealsFelicity van Rooyen, is a most accomplished, kind and empathetic member of the Delis management. The fact that the Deli-Restaurant is only a stroll away from all the hotel suites is a huge attraction.

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Mantis Pearl Valley. The rooms are specious with en suite bathrooms - beautiful linen & lush towels !The view is breathtaking & the staff very friendly and accommodating !!Thank you Pearl Valley ! We will remember these sunsets forever !!!

Pearl Valley is unique in various ways. It is one of the best golf estates in South Africa. Its only 45 minutes from Cape Town and Airport situated just a few minutes away from Franshoek. Pearl Valley is a home to hundreds both local and abroad. They have most of the the best requirements, a gym, spa, restaurant, swimming pool, club house and a hotel to mention a few. The most important aspect is the dedication of staff members and management.

My friend had her wedding reception here about 3 months ago in November and I wasnt very impressed with the service of the restaurant staff or the manager. We arrived over an hour before our booking (which was reserved for 5pm) and decided to take pictures as we werent allowed in the area beforehand, we were only allowed to explore the premises and order drinks/snacks from the bar.When we were finally done with pictures, we sat down just a few minutes before 5 and still werent allowed to order our food. Instead we were told that we can make speeches/toasts etc. which only took about 10 minutes. Then only we we allowed to place our orders.We were given a set menu of only 3 choices... 3 choices?! Because apparently we were too many guests to choose from the standardized menu We were about 30 guests, understandable, but really limited to 3 dishes is not very accommodating. Anyway, when we finally allowed to order we waited A WHOLE HOUR FOR OUR FOOD, A WHOLE FREAKING HOUR, which means we only got our food after 6pm! What a disgrace! Ive honestly had better service from a pub and grill.I ordered a prawn dish, which tasted more like breyani without lentils and only 5 prawns (yes I counted them) with a whole lot of rice. My partner ordered a crumbed chicken fillet with veggies and he is a big eater. The portion was so small, he finished it in 5 minutes and was still very much hungry after he finished his dish! They even forgot about the grooms food and he had to wait an extra 20 minutes for his food.I was so disappointed I wanted to leave as soon as we were done eating and paying but it was my friends wedding so I had to keep her happy but I would NEVER visit this place again at my own expense because it was a complete waste of money and time.In short...Scenery - GreatService - TerribleFood - Average

Since the revamp of the restaurant on the Pearl Valley side of the mega estate there’s a nice look and feel to the restaurant.The food is reasonably priced and the portions are decent. The service is good and the views stunning with well kept gardens. It is not for fine dining, rather a good comfort food experience.

Very safe and secluded estate.

First time out on the Pearl on a hot Summers day playing the Jack N designed course was one to remember with nice views of nature and facilities of high standard. Greens was fast and true even though they did not look so fresh. Friendly faces. Need to put a sign at the parking lot to show which way the entrance is to the Pro Shop though.17 Feb.2019

What an amazing estate. Not to mention the golf course! The homes here are fantastic and it gives you a country feeling and energy.

Pearl Valley is about an hour out of Cape Town central. They Jack Nicklaus golf course is unbelievable surrounded by fantastic holiday homes. 20 minutes from Franschhoek were you can find great value restaurants.

Peaceful, safe, serene... Just the place to unwind. Love the fact that you can see many different species of birds and enjoy beautiful sunsets. 😍

Great rich peoples playground with lots of water and trees. Great golf course. Driving around the estate and looking at the construction activities it is difficult to believe that we have a static economy.

World class golf course. Really enjoyed our round. We’re able get on the course the morning without a reservation. But you can book online ahead of time as well. Expensive though.Only complaint was the maintenance crew. They were a bit intrusive on a few holes. But we played early. So the were gone by the back nine.

I popped in with my visitors from Durban and Umthata for some cocktails and to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Service was as usual very good.

Frustrating to gain access to visit people . time consuming and not user friendly . Went to visit family, 7th car in the queue, one lane boom not working , plus the identity processing of each car and phoning homeowners takes way to long.Finally get to the front, go through the procedure, they phone other house, no answer a couple of times. No reply, we say they definitely home. Nope.sorry we cant let you in .. long story we left . The family were just in the garage and disnt hear phone.. but surely a better system can be implemented to cut out this 5 min plus processing of each car.
