A real home away from home experience. Exactly as promised. Chef Charles is a magician in the kitchen and the staff are real gems! So attentive to the guests and so so friendly! The safari walk is something you wont regret. I cant wait to go back and do the drive next :-) both uniquely amazing experiences! Do yourself a favour and try the outside shower! Its pretty cool, and enjoy being woken up by the roar of a lion!

Wow, such a magical experience. The luxury tent was amazing. Warm and cosy equipped with everything you would need. The king size bed was super comfortable and the heater and electric blanket made it even better. The view from the balcony was amazing too and the lion roaring at night is quite memorable. The safari drive is definitely something you should do. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the food served at the restaurant is definitely a 10 out of 10. Overall one of my best experiences and would for sure go back.

We had such an amazing stay at Garden Route Safari Camp this weekend. Out of 5 they deserve a 10 star rating. From the booking to the welcoming, accommodation, game drives, food, very friendly and professional staff. The place itself is beautiful and tranquil. We had the privilege of waking up to the lions roaring and the birds chirping, which was totally epic. Everything far exceeded our expectation. Our family of five have just had the most magical 4 days away hosted by the very capable and accommodating family of Abram, Nanette, Sephan and Unelle. Nothing was too much trouble and the constant check ups and daily chats and greetings were a very special personal touch! The staff are warm and friendly, the scenery is magnificent and the game drives were sublime. Special mention must be made of Chef Charless delicious cooking and he too went the extra mile catering for a slightly fussy 5 year old!The accommodation was spacious and luxurious, from electric blankets on the bed to a hair dryer, they have really thought of everything! And the outside shower is an incredible touch, showering under the stars while hearing the lions roar in the background. It is quite something!The most special part for us, was the way Sephan went above and beyond, to ensure my 5 year old had the most incredible experiences, every single day. Stephan has a wealth of knowledge and engages with people of all ages. It is very visible that he loves what he does and has a true passion and calling for nature and all her creatures - big and small.Coming back from the Game Drive, my son stated that he had just had the best day of his life. What more could you possibly want?A relaxing holiday at your slice of heaven was exactly what we all needed, thank you for your hospitality. May you go from strength to strength in the years ahead!

This was our second time staying at the magical Garden Route Safari Camp and we will be back on a yearly basis. Abram, Nanette and their team have created a luxurious and warm atmosphere where you feel like you are part of the family.The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and spoiled. The food is absolutely superb and they also catered plant-based meals for me that was delicious, well thought out and masterfully executed.Lufuno, our lovely and knowledgeable guide, took us on a game drive and bird walk in which he taught us about the local fauna and flora and we ticked three new bird species off our list.We woke up each morning to the sounds of the abundant bird life and the roaring of the lion. The tents are beautifully decorated and thoughtfully equipped with everything from warm electric blankets (which were very welcome in the cold winter nights) to an outdoor shower which is also great to use in winter!The love and passion of the team at this lodge is clear and contagious and adds an extra dimension of quality in the service. If we could, we would come much more often.I would recommend anyone to treat themselves to an awesome experience here. In doing so, you will also be supporting a local business that treats their employee-family with love and respect while investing in their lives, which is an honor to witness and be apart of.Thank you to everyone at the GRSC for another wonderful time. From the welcome received with chocolates when you exit your car to the gorgeous and spacious luxury tents. I cannot recommend this place enough. Chef Charles is perfect and knows just how to make a rare steak and the best dessert. Son Stefan who is the best ever guide for the game drive will teach you so much about the smaller things that generally get ignored. The attention to detail with everything is amazing. We had a loving experience at the Garden Route Safari Camp. The game drive was amazing 🐾🦁. The 3 course meal and the breakfast was perfect. The camp is so peaceful and all you can hear is nature. The staff was very friendly, helpful and had a lot of knowledge to share.

I cannot say enough good about this place. I dont think Ive ever experienced better service in my life. Right from the start we were made to feel like family. The food, room (luxury tent) and the game drives were all incredible. We unfortunately only booked for 2 days, we wished we would have gotten to stay longer. We went to Garden Route Safari Camp one month ago and everything was just perfect.The rooms were wonderful, the staff more than friendly and the food was unbelievably good.A special praise is due to our guide Casper. We had our very first Safari camp experience here with Garden Route. The guide Stephan was so knowledgeable from every animals herd to the different birds and plants. My favorite is the Waterbuck, so magnificent to see right in front of us. We did both night tour and the morning tour, each got its charms. The staff were so friendly and we enjoy the exquisite cooking from the kitchen a lot. We would definitely come back again to visit the newborn baby zebras and lion cubs!!

I loved my entire experience here. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. So accommodating, lovely and welcoming. Its truly and experience. Even the staff are great. So much attention to detail. I recommend this place to eveyone. The accommodation, food and location is everything. You do not need to leave as they have everything for you. They do so much, just ask. Everything is very affordable for such a grand experience. I cant talk about this place enough. I must say, the images on the site are exactly as it is when you see it for yourself. The luxury tents are just everything! What is also really cool is you can see the animals from your luxury tent :) I will definitely be back. Easily receives a 5 star rating.The place is beautiful and you can see fine attention to detail is in everything, from the design of the lodge and the awesome rooms to the exquisitely prepared food and luxury service.The game park is awesome with great animals and the included trip to the olive estate and the elephants was fantastic and memorable.Regardless of all else, the staff here really make the experience worth your while. Everyone is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. They cater your entire stay to your individual needs. If you don’t come for anything else, come just to meet the staff. The owners are simply amazing, we had a game drive there and it was one of the best game drives I have ever experienced.Beautiful spacious rooms, amazing wildlife and amazing staff!

The owners Abram, Nanette and their son Stefan could not have done more to make our stay a perfect memory. Stefan’s knowledge of the bush is such an education so a game drive is a must. The tented accomodation makes “camping” pure luxury. Charles and his team in the kitchen dishes up delicious cuisine (remember to ask for his scones). So excited to hear of the three lion cubs arriving next week and a baby giraffe to be born any day. An absolute gem of a destination run by a special conservation family- one to return to . You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful surroundings with very friendly hosts. Delicious well presented food and our guide Stephan was superb with excellent knowledge of all the flora and fauna who provided really fun game drives amongst the variety of animals. The view of the Giraffe’s heads above the trees caught in the morning sunlight was an unforgettable sight. Very highly recommended.

This is a great place! The neatest glamping tents we have ever seen. Extremely friendly owners and staff. Great food at really good prices. The game drive was the best that we have ever had. We will definately be back... more than once, and if you go here you will be too.

We had the most amazing two days in this Game Reserve! The staff was so nice, helpful and friendly and we had such a good time with Andy and Stephan. We booked four game drives, even when the reserve is not so big yet, the different game drives were completely different- it was amazing to see the giraffes, zebras and the different kinds of Antilopes. We learned a lot about the animals, also about the small ones like scorpios and insects.The staff in the restaurant was very nice and funny and the food was good! My wife asked for a vegetarian option for dinner and the meal was very good as well!We would love to come back to this lovely place with ours kids and see how it develops. A very very beautiful reserve owned by a nice and friendly family. It is a spacious tent overlooking the water pool. The tent is equipped with heating because my visit was in the cold.The reserve is 25 minutes away from Mossel Bay. There are no restaurants around. The restaurant they have is deliciousThey take you on a tour to see the animals, but with different fees, there are a number of animals

A lodge not to be missed at garden routeWe had the chance to discover Safari camp this summer. An unforgettable stay in this recent lodge with very high-end services. The very spacious tents, the bedding, the outdoor and indoor showers, the decoration, the meals of Charls, can satisfy the most demanding. But to all this, add the welcome given by the family, the passion for flora and fauna, the pleasure of our guide stefan to share it during game drives or game walks in the reserve which is home to a growing fauna. : rhinoceros lions, giraffes, nyala, established ... Beyond safaris, this lodge with its family welcome can be an ideal base for visiting the region with excellent value for money

In winter, when the temperature is below 10 degrees Celsius, the bed in a tent is the most comfortable place to stay. This is of course not very attractive if the booking covers a longer period. A dinner in winter clothing is not romantic every night ..There are no communication options at the property.

We as a family of 6 enjoyed the stay very much. The property was commissioned in Dec. 2018, everything is new, very clean, state of the art. The experience of the hospitality was very nice, the owners work in the company and welcome the arriving guests and take care of all concerns. The safaris were very enlightening, different and again very personal, as we always had the same guide on three days. We will go back!

Dreamlike camp near Mossel Bay. The managers Abram and Nanette are very nice and you just feel good. After wonderful days there I booked directly my next stay in December this year. An absolute must when in South Africa!
