Our clubhouse!!.I can only recommend the clubhouse of Dainfern Golf Estate.Nice view and very relaxing for an afternoon drink and dinner. Most of the food is good.
I gave a 3 because it took 3 attempts at my meal. . . lets start with positive the waiter was excellent trying his best to fix the mess up. I ordered eisbein on the menu it says 500g crispy eisbein. The 1st time i was served an eisbein that could not have been more than 150g and was not crispy. My husband decided to send it back at it felt like a bit of a rip off for R145, the manager then came to appologise and assured us that he would have it rectified, so we waited for the replacement. The replacement came not much bigger than the first maybe 200g but definitely not 500g but it was cooked nicely and was crispy so i decided to just eat it took my 1st bite it was perfevtly cooked and seasoned and the mash potatoes were lovely too however there was only one bite left 2 teaspoons of meat on the entire bone. We then called over the manager and he agreed that it was not value for money and appologied took it back to the kitchen and we then ordered pizza. The eisbein was removed from the bill.Long story short there pizzas are great! We have ordered almost all of them and all of them were fabulous! Our son had the macaroni cheese and he enjoyed that too!
Could not get in through the gate. We arrived at 6pm on Friday evening in our Dainfern Valley golf cart, but was not allowed access as we did not have a booking... I suggest taking this up with security. Times are tough - you cant afford to have customers turned away...
It’s been an up and down journey with the management, but they seem to have found their feet. There is a nice menu selection now, although not many options for food allergies/special diets. The service in general from waiters needs improving especially when it’s busy, but overall it is a lovely, convenient restaurant.
4 meals ordered, 3 incorrect, of the four meals all not fantastic and restaurant was not busy.
Rebranded but the old clubhouse was better .-Warm milkshake.-Asian dressing is delivered in the form of sweet chilli.-Norwegian smoked and old lettuce leaves were the only correct ingredients included in the salmon salad, every other ingredient was missing.Tempura starter served with chips, old salad, instead of rocket. The sauce was missing. When sauce brought it was soy instead of the Asian sauce. We asked the manager himself to correct our order and we never saw him again. Prices are expensive, but the food quality does not match the expense.Love the decor though.
Very good food
I live in the estate and everytime i get seated I wait 15min for just a menu at this restaurant , service is shocking for the advertised stature of this country club restaurant If could I would rate a half star as I am regular customer
Everytime I come here I think the service will get better. It just never does. The old dainfern resurant had much better service. Disappointing for a regular.
It was the best
