This Indian restaurant is very good for dining, special for weekend breakfast buffet. You will get unlimited North and South Indian breakfast with tea is served . Food quality is also very good. You can enjoy with friends and family for sure.

The best South Indian breakfast buffet you will have in Joburg. And it only costs R60. The breakfast is there only on the weekends though, and its pretty popular. So make sure you reach early and not get caught in the crowd.Other than breakfast, their normal menu has good number of options and isnt costly at all.. Biryani is a must try, so it the roti rolls. Paneer currys were all nice and good. Portion size is also big. Over and above, the staff is super friendly as well. Must check out this restaurant.

Food was warm but a bit too spicy/hot. Environment was creepy (went there at 8:15pm for dinner, not a single soul around ....). I wont go back again.

Nice place for unlimited breakfast, you can enjoy Dosha, Mendu wada, Pongal, Sabji, Puri and Tea. For tea lover its perfect place. This unlimited available on Saturday and Sunday. You have to reach early by 8.30 or 9.0 so you can enjoy all menu.

Best South Indian breakfast in SA

One of the best indian cuisine Ive ever eaten. Compared to Cape Town indian cuisine, this place definitely sets an elevated bar. Great food and great service.

Dakshin is a good South Indian breakfast buffet on Sat and Sunday at R60 for adults and kids eat at R30. The food offered is authentic and masala tea is awesome. Vada, Idli, Pongal, Aloo Poori and Masala Dosa are the contents that you can enjoy after paying R60. Go for it!

Ordered two half loaf mutton bunnies from here using Mr. D but was sent two quarters. The two supposedly halves cost me in excess of R250. When calling the owners to explain I was sworn at and told I was a liar. I do have pictures of the food and the receipt to prove otherwise.A bunch of unprofessional, rude owners that cant make up for their mistakes. I will never return.

Quiet and peaceful place, Dishes that were served quite quickly. The breakfast was nice, nice texture made in the typical South Indian way. the Naans are soft. On the non-veg side , Chicken Kadai, presented very tantalisingly and flavorsome. for desserts were very satisfactory. A place to go to for some nice Indian food.

So far we have tasted South Indian breakfast on weekends. We have tried vada, masala dosa, Pesarettu, Idli, poori bhaji etc. Excellent tasty food. Friendly reception.Review in May 2019 - All above is still valid i.e. Excellent food. We stopped going here because of people with extremely horrible etiquette during breakfast time. Taking 6-8 vadas each, jumping queue etc. My fellow Indians who do this - you should be ashamed of your behavior. Managers/owners - please take steps to stop this.

After one of my friend suggested me to visit this place, i went to dakshin restaurant, i tasted few indian cuisines and the food was very good also service is excellent, coming to the place it is very quiet, i suggest this place for family dinner/lunch day out.
