This supermarket is quite big. 😂🛒But I am happy was able to find fresh item like vegetables and fruits especially when I was shopping with my mom.The store can get quite busy. So it would be great to have more tills open.I have never had any trouble with the cashiers here, usually when I cant find a certain aisle, I am able to get the assistance I need which I highly appreciate. 💖💖🎉The store is quite beautiful I must say. The worst service ever I bought groceries and maas on the 3rd of October 2021 when I got home discovered the Maas has expired, why do you pack expired Food on your refrigerators I dont know, I called the customer service was informed Ill be contacted in 2 days, its been 3 days no assistance thats the worst service ever very disappointed, then they send their consutant to call me after I sent them a whatsaap asking why they didnt resolve my matter, the consultant is told I said I will go to them on Saturday I need a recording of the call where they are claiming I said I am going to them on Saturday.

Excellent customer service. Management is professional helpful and overall pleasant. The produce, baked goods and meats are always fresh and delicious.

A very big store with a wide variety of goods to buy. From household items to food. You can do all of you general shopping here. The service is quite good and they dont give you an attitude. The only thing I feel is not good is that at peak time there are not enough cashiers to handle the overload of customers.

I just had the worst service at a till. I greeted the ladies very nicely and asked how they were. The lady sitting at the till refused to even look at me and didnt say one word through the whole interaction. Horriboe horrible attitude in this store. I just remembered why I dont shop at Checkers...

A place is big enough and you can get almost everything you need in one store and theres a pharmacy inside the store.I usually go there for my grocery shopping and is not too crowded. The queues are not that long

This store has gone out of their way to ensure the shopper has an enjoyable experience in every way possible.The isles and different departments are best, well stocked and brimming with attention to detail.The staff are courteous and helpful.The shop itself is clean and health conscious.Though I dont live in the area, when I am in the vicinity of Mall of Africa I make it my mission to stop off and stock up my groceries here.A truly engaging shop 👍

I called to enquire about a product the lady who was supposed to assist me just told me to hold the line as she check if they have the item in store. I cannot believe she made me hold the line the whole 13 minutes, i dropped the line when i call again no-one to answer.Worst service !

Wide isles, large range of products, friendly staff - a recipe for success if any. Not only do they have food stuff, but you can get kitchen utensils, powered utensils, pots, pans and so much more. The shelves are neat and packed like an appetizing display of happiness and comfort. I love shopping here and will go back again and again.

This is a massive, well set out store that stocks everything. The fresh food is prepared daily and is truly scrumptious. Good to pop in and grab a quick bite during lunch. Only draw back is that there are always long queues at the till points.

Absolutely amazing store with huge variety in every department. Was truly amazed at the hardware selection and pool care range for grocery store. Fruit and veg and meat selection was also very large. Impressive displays and some really good pricing on tech as well.

You just have to shop at this Checkers. Its big, very well stocked and beautifully clean. Staff are friendly. The selections of ready made food makes your head spin, so dont go there hungry or you will end up buying a bit of everything. There is an amazing variety of cheese, sea food, fish, breads and cold meats that will make your mouth water. If its your first time at this Checkers, take your time to browse through each isle to see whats available.

Just recieved the worst treatment by checkout till operator. Throwing food to packer , damaging my groceries and had to ask her three times to slow down and handle foods properly. THERE WAS NO SANITISER AT THIS TILL. GO THERE AT YOUR PERIL

The store cashiers always have an attitude. A customer that was in front of me decided not to buy her other items . The cashier did not move those items so that I can put mine to be scanned and she ended up scanning everything ,even the previous customers items. She did not even ask if I have an extra saving card . I got frustrated as I had to sort refunds Issues .

Great service from staff. Bought an item. Took it home. Opened the package, realised it wasnt the correct item that I was looking for. Took it back the next day, Dineo assisted with the process of returning the item. Very satisfied customer.

Cashiers being cashed up while the queues are still the length of the Nile River, then reopened without packers - which meant delays for the people behind me because I had to pack my own groceries before I could pay. I was told to leave my freshly squeezed juice and papaya behind because these items didnt have barcodes despite the fact that they were prepackaged. Regardless of the fact that Id already been standing in the queue for more than 20 minutes, I could not purchase my lovely bottle of wine which I had planned to enjoy with my dinner because they dont process any alcohol sales post 8pm. Im convinced that Im never going back to this particular branch.

The food is nice and fresh but the cashiers are always angry and its like they dont wanna talk when you great them. The manager Teboho, I think its his name is friendly and helpful at all time. He will even go with you to show you What you are looking for. He is the best. He is a bit short and tough.

It is really a wonderful place to buy grocery here in this checkers Hyper. All kind of fresh Vegetables, all kind of grocery items and kind of meat products all kind of colddrinks products all kind of cooked food and raw food is available at this checkers Hyper in Mall of Africa. It is very loving place really everyone should visit once here in this checkers.

My wife and I love how the store is laid out and the selection of goods. Fresh veggies, meats, cheeses, breads. They have most things we need. I try not to leave without popping over for a fresh cup of coffee. The beans they use are fabulous. Thanks to the staff for their hard work in keeping Checkers a grocery store to which we want to return.

A really good clean large store. My favourite Checkers to shop at. The staff are very friendly too.Sadly, in keeping with the reported Checkers bad reputation, there were only 2 main tills open and management had to he asked to open more. This was a weak end to an otherwise good experience.

This is not your ordinary checkers. Its huge. Open till 8 pm. A hypermarket so you can get almost anything. Groceries, drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic. A huge selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. Situated I. MALL OF Africa which is central in Midrand with a plethora of store local and international. Wheel chair friendly and safe. Remember where you parked your car and do not lose your parking ticket. There is a fine attached.

Very busy place. Went over Christmas period so wasnt a pleasure to shop. Prices reasonable great location. Has everything ample parking very safe and lots of shops all around

Best way to seriously mess up your day? ... walk through this checkers with a trolley. I get the need to market your specials, but make the displays smaller! Trolleys and people trying to move in opposite directions with these huge displays in the middle, thoughtless crowd flow planning. I completely lost my $%&£. Love you guys because of your variety, but will find another checkers on my way home rather.

Great shop with everything you need for your home. The staff attitude is excellent, store nicely packed, their bakery sells great cookies. Chips over par. There are multiple tills for payments, hence speedy service at the till point. Has money market for money instant transfers.

Guys, is there anybody else who has completely had enough of the poor customer service at Checkers Mall of Africa?The ladies at the tills and at the money market counters seem to be on their own planet all the time. They dont pay attention, they ask if you want a plastic at least 4 times after you already said yes. Theyre always engaged in their own conversations, to the point of not listening to customers.I find myself going to Waterfall corner more often just to avoid conflict. Absolutely amazing Checkers with everything you could need day today and then more. Theres even a chemist as well as an outdoors section!The decor is outstanding and beautiful.

The store was average, although huge and well maintained, one may find it slightly hard to navigate and find your items easily.There arent any management staff on the floor, the deli has limited items (plastic items used to advertise, yet there isnt any available. Such as French loafs, specific breads etc)The Liquor store , do not have appropriate pricing available, on the shelf, and some items are meant to be sold in a pack of 2 only, but yet there are single #1 (such as Wines, vodkas)Probably is most of the communitys daily store, and possibly my bad experience.

Worst experience ever at the till, or more specifically with the till packer.I was kindly being assisted by the cashier, while the till packer was using my reusable checkers bag. However, I asked her to not put the biggest items in this bag, and rather put all the other items purchased in. Out of spite, she opened my ready to eat meal. When I got home, I unpacked my bag to find the container upside down and the content in the bottom of the bag. This could have been a mistake, you will tell me, however, a mistake doesnt open the container to almost half the protecting plastic.I doubt this is what is expecting of the staff in such a big company, and highly disagree with the idea of having a spiteful/vindictive person packing at the end of the till. I personally care about the environment and do not want to use plastic bags unnecessarily.

Awesome one stop shop with great prices. Be sure you visit this store with a shopping list else impulse buying will kick in. In the event that you just want to window shop wear comfy shoes as you will have a lot to look at and you spend lots of time doing so

This is the best checkers I have ever been to. Called Hyper for a reason. Great readily cooked food, dessert and bakery products. I like that corner. Enough paypoints to cater for the mass buyers. It get frustratingly full most of the times but its worth it.

On Saturday 28 February, 2019 I just had the misfortune of having the till freeze without printing my receipt soon after paying and had to wait about 20 minutes while they rebooted the PC - but I think this was a an isolated incident.

Staff were very unfriendly, went to take lotto and the lady just ignored me and carried on talking to her colleagues, when i saud excuse me she just said lotto is offline but for the last 3 time i have been there i was told the same, either they just too lazy to serve you or the lotto machine never works. Even the cashiers were on a go slow, staff all seemed either unhappy or un motivated

Had my cellphone stolen at the counter, I was querying items that were incorrectly charged. Manager was helpful enough but all in all I wont step foot in here again. My phone was stolen by the person standing behind me in the queue - middle aged man shopping with his wife!

Situated in the mall of Africa.. Convenient and safe. Great variety of products.. However in many occasions when there are specials the stock is always limited to gets finished fairly quickly on certain items..so go early when specials are released.. Clean but recently there have been a lot of shady characters who roam around the store asking people for money or for you to pay for their groceries. I see this more and more every month and it makes shopping very uncomfortable.

Only R7 but 30min free parking will make the quick pop in clients experience easier

This is not the easiest checkers to shop at. The layout is not user friendly and you always end up missing something or having to go back for a second look. I would only recommend that you shop here is you are in the mall then it is convenient.

Its spacious and you get most of the items but go there early in the mornings on weekends because from 11h00, its always packed until they close at 20h00.

As far as floor space goes, this checkers is HUGE! But the way the floor is packed, it is impossible for two trolleys to get through next to each other because of all the promotions, that are taking up WAY MORE SPACE THAN NEEDED! This was a terrible claustrophobic expwrienc

This Checkers is the best Ive visited so far, it is clean, they have fresh food, and have a good variety of fish.

The store is full of life and has active cashiers that are helpful, the store contains almost every household needs from groceries to hardware including books for school, there are numerous check out tills including the kiosk, and they also sell checkers branded pizzas that are delicious 😋 and theres also a liquor store on the side that sells malt beer and the wine section inside

Typical hyper store. Cashiers dont always ring up discounts marked on the packaging so be aware. On the plus side the refund process is quick and easy

One of the top range Checkers Hypers in south africa - superbly busy during lunch time - I believe the Checkers does some gOod hot foods for it patrons - ample parking - paid parking that is 😣 - a decent mall to shop at or gO out at - visit it soOn as it may loose its title as the biggest mall in the Southern Hemisphere sOon - a gOod few Halaal outlets - (meaning that general hygiene and quality checks are more frequent and enforced - yes I am from a QSR background - and wOw dO thOse representatives take there jObs seriously - a nice, clean and simple prayer area - be aware of the times as it is locked - gO there but nOt tO often as the places of Prayer are the places of Solace and the places of Commerse are the places of restlessness -
