Great tasting fish and chips - and quick service. Well priced too. if you want a decent take away fish calamari prawns, etc. this is well worth it. Bought the combo box - all the bits were good.

Enjoyed our meals, it was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and I even had my food brought right to my vehicle, since my little one was asleep. Great value for money! We will definitely be back for more :-)

Great little seafood place. It is seldom you find one that pays equal attention to their fish and chips. Batter could do with a little more seasoning but otherwise very lekker! Would definitely come back should we pass through Knysna again.

One of the most amazing fish and chips you’ll ever taste. If you visit Knysna having Sailor Sam is an absolute MUST.The only downside is that every time we wanted to go the store was closed. On our last day in Knysna we got super lucky and the owner stayed open at closing just to serve us ! The service is beyond amazing. The owner is one of the kindest and friendliest person I’ve ever met.Thank you for the best fish and chips on earth.

Hands down the best deal for sea food in town! Very fresh food, very tasty and FAST service with a smile and laughs! A favorite spot for the locals and tourists to dine in or for take away. I got the prawns and calamari with chips. If your in the area you must stop in for a meal.

Reheated chips and floury fish. Not even decent batter to disguise the old fish. What a disappointment. Family of four and 2 kids, everyone is starving and cant eat this. Shame on you!

This is an old fashioned fish and chips Take Away on the Main Street of Knysna entering from Plettenberg Bay (Eastern side). It is across the Post Office and next to the Police stationAllthough there are tables ouside it is not a sit down restaurant. You go there to buy fish, chips and calamari and eat it in your car or at home. I find the place immaculately clean, pricing very reasonable and the service friendly. This is also not a 🚻 stop. Give your order and off you go once you received it. There are a couple of parkings right in front of Sailor Sam and by turning left at the next crossing you will find some more parking . If you are in a ♿, the owner will notice you from inside the shop and come out to help you. He is very friendly. I normally tell him how many people we are and what we would like to eat and he then makes up an order to suite our needs. Really an easy going place and highly recommend. There are a selection of soft drinks and some salads, but if you are keen on salad with your meal, you might want to prepare it at home
