Gotta say I was pleasantly surprised by this place.Siya the waiter was very good and looked after us.Our food was very good ribs are a very good choice and so glad you could get 🥗 with it. Food was quick to the table too.Lot of liquor to choose from and overall this is a very affordable place.I definitely come back! The inside looks like it hasnt been touched by a decorator since the 90s!Well worth a stop by!

Best grilled fish and chips ever! Wonderful salad on the fishcakes and salad. Really awesome waiter, he was kind, knowledgeable and went the extra mile. Prices were reasonable too. Definitely going back soon!

Food was good as we had on our 2 visits from out of town during last year. Waitressing very bad. Had to ask for another one to attend to our table after 15 minutes since first one seems to forget about us. Also had to go and ask for the bill wanting to pay.

We always drive past but tonight on a whim decided to stop in and was pleasantly surprised. A cosy little two room pub with quite a big menu selection, reasonably priced. We saw the Eisbein on special and decided to share it. Huge and delicious. And a decent selection of South African favourites on tap. Will be back soon to try some of the other favourites on the menu.

Typical traditional pub fare, but with excellent service from friendly staff. Very reasonable prices and warm atmosphere. Despite being busy we didn’t wait too long for our food.

Bosuns pub and Grill is a really beautiful and rustic pub to visit. The service was quick and efficient but it could also be because they were not busy. The food itself was very tasty. There were only one waitron in attendance that i could see but despite this little detail, service was quite quick. My craft beer was a bit of a disappointment as i ordered an IPA and he brought a Pale Ale. When questioned he said its a misprint on the menu and they dont have IPA ☹️. That was the only bummer. The food itself is enough for 2 people and the balance served as breakfast sandwiches the next morningI will go back anytime and rather order a milk stout instead of the Pale Ale. Very nice relaxing atmosphere.. Well worth a visit

We decided to try Bosuns Pub and Grill not really knowing what to expect. We sat outside and were served quickly by a lovely lady. We ordered the calamari as a starter. Oh my soul I have never had such tasty calamari and so tender. We also had the pork belly which was delicious and the ribs which were just falling off the bone. Very nice place.

The food was really good, we each tried something different and all of us enjoyed our order. Will visit as soon as we go back to Knysna.

Knysna Service can be hilariously not great. But the beer is cold and the view world class

First couple of visits great. Next couple of visits have gone from bad to worse. Food is good. Service busy going down the drain. If your outside you can sit and wait up to an hour for service. Last night hubbys food was cleared when he went to the loo. He was not finished eating. He gets offered a different tables left overs for a take away. Excuse made is we tell our staff to clear regularly. Pay your bill

On holiday in Knysna and was told to go here for dinner. Sat outside and only received menus after an hour and having to ask for it. Placed our order and after 15min was told that they did not prepare food for the night but they could serve us a plate of chips. Worst service ever experienced

I was a little disappointed in the food. I ordered a medium-rare sirloin steak which was very tough & chewy. But the place itself is nice, ok atmosphere, service wasnt too bad. Very reasonable prices & good selection of beers including local craft beers. Not a bad place if you want to grab a quick, cheap meal or a few beers. Great view of the lake!

An institution in its own right. Food is nice. A traditional menu. Bar service is attentive and polite. But the waitrons who deal with the outside guests need further training. But a pleasant afternoon was had. Will pop back.

Typical pub. Smelly and dingy. The food was very heavy and stodgy. Bangers and mash voluminous thanks to a huge pile of potato mash. The liver and onions was very odd. The liver was almost unrecognizable as such. Thinly sliced and very over-cooked. Congenial little place which probably looks better and better the more beer one drinks.

Felt very unwelcomed by the waitress of the day. We were very excited based on the reviews on Google. The waitress communicated with the group with the bare minimum necessary information. When we were served, the food and drink was simply placed on table. The Latte I had, tasted like coffee creamer. The chips tasted like store bought McCain chips. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone under the age of 55
