Good food and even better prices

What a lekker venue. Nice for sporting events and music. Interesting neighborhood as well. Filled with history.

It is a sports club and community hall for the Portuguese community in the south of Johannesburg. It has a modest restaurant, coffee shop and bar. The hall is rented out to the roller derby league of Johannesburg who use this hall for their practice sessions as well as competitive league games. Im sure the hall is rented out to others. In the grounds, there is also a football pitch that appears not to be maintained currently. Its a modest, pleasant venue.

Lovely open space, clean and friendly staff. There is parking for wheelchairs and it has easy access to enter the building for wheelchairs. There is also an allocated wheelchairs bathroom.

Big hall quite far about. Very cold inside but a good venue. Simple seating. Just not lots of secure parking

Quaint local restaurant, good environment if youre accustomed to the Portuguese lifestyle. Food is basic but good in portions.

Nice and secured events and party venue in Turffontein. Lots of parking space and the halls are air-conditioned with kitchen facilities for events that cater on site.

Union Sports Club - is a portuguese run social club that has an amazing restaurant in it - The selection of authentic portugese food is decent and the food is second to none with decent portions that will satisfy anyone !! Try the portuguese chicken - 100% perfect and the Cuttle Fish was amazing !! thank you to Snr Carvalho and team for the amazing food and service !!!

Excellent prego and steak rolls. It has a large indoor sports arena where CMax Roller Derby meets and holds practices. The parking is secure and has enough space for a large function.

Table of 6. They only have 1 menu. Get told that we dont have moreThey bring 5 meals to the table. The 6th meal came 15min later.We ask for a desert menu and they bring us a generic picture and tell us its the menu.We ask for coffee and the waitress cant tell us whats on offer.This is horrible service. When we complained to the owner he blames the waitress for the mismanagment which is not her fault.I will not be returning for this kind of service.

Brilliant love going there my second home

We were there for the interschool karate championships. Very clean and tidy.

Although quite old(opened 1961), the Portugese hall are well maintained.

My son karate tournament was great.

One cannot complain about the service of the staff at the restaurant, because there is none. The barman was rude, the waitresses were slow and they did not stock according to the event that was being hosted.The sport Hall is in good condition, though.
