Have been here twice and in both instances the service has been impeccable and the food top notch. Their oysters are the reason why I am planning my 3rd visit. I love Mythos Bedfordview and the ambience is beautiful both at night and during the day. Their cozy booths and dim lighting make for a nice dinner date and during the day you can opt to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.

The platter was very dry and bland. Hubby tried the prawns which were very small aswell.

One of the best places Ive been to, the service is of the highest quality and it has an awesome view if you choose the outside sitting area, a few bees but hey there are flowers out there.Menu is fantastic... but a very important note for new customers the prices are a bit up there so dont go on a shoe string budget if you want the very best.All in all the drinks and food where great.I cant go on enough about the set up of the place and the view, plus they play very nice music.

The hummus is as smooth as silk and has the perfect balance off tahini and perfection. Everytime Im over for a snack, coffee and cake or a full meal I am always satisfied. And I always leave with take away hummus.

Stopped for a quick supper before a movie. A warm friendly welcome, great food, we had the veggie platter and great atmosphere. I could have easily given the movie a miss and stayed at the restaurant. Definitely recommend

Mythos is special. A place you can bring your family for any occasion but also a place worthy enough to take your new date to. Its food is unmistakably Greek and decor to match. Its lasted the test of time too having been open for more than 15 years. It is a Johannesburg success story.

We ordered a pick up takeaway via Uber eats - two beef yards and a 300g Rump Steak. It was so good there was a fight about the last piece of steak. While we ate, all we talked about was the food. Were still talking about the food. Well talk about the food tomorrow until we go get some more.

Love this place

We went there for a birthday supper and the food was delicious, everyone at the table also thought the food was great. The atmosphere was really lovely and the staff were all friendly and helpfull. Their bathrooms are also well kept and pretty. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a good meal.

Great lunch special

Unbelievably horrible service! Completely disregarded my order, made me wait over an hour while they serve other people. Useless staff that lie and say my food is coming when they know its not ready. Management that lies as well to protect their unorganized chefs. I will never be coming back here. I would rather drive to rosebank than give these people my money ever again. But the food was good.

Today we called to confirm a final time, and your tune changed - your staff member tells us that only the R99 Specials are available. Then we call back to cancel our booking, and a new staff member tells us that the Specials are all available. Please get your staff on the same page.

Just renovated the venue. The waiters are attentive and the owners circultate amongst patrons and the offering of Greek dishes is varied and good. Spend a relaxing evening with your family. Very popular restaurant.

The best.....Always

I really enjoyed our dinner at Mythos bedford square. We had a fantastic waiter that recommended certain dishes on the menu. There was also entertainment with a guitar player. The music complimented the evening.

I really recommend the beef yiro. Amazing food and a really intimate scene. Brilliant service really made this restaurant one to try out.

Went to Mythos for an early lunch on a Saturday. Food was excellent and I felt fair value for money.Service was fair to good although the waiters did mix up orders and brought the wrong food and drinks orders to our table on three occasions.Management are very hands on and very visible and friendly.All in all a very pleasant lunch and a place to be recommended.

Mythos is still good but I wanted Crispy pork no pork?? But they wanted me to order 600gm of pork chop !! I am not a carnivore too much meat . So I was a little p...off . My wife enjoyed the meal.

The ambiance and setting was great, typical Greek melodies play in the background. Really nice restaurant setting. Unfortunately the food left much to be desired. For the price point the food was mediocre and my meal particularly had undercooked vegetables. The store manager does regularly come by to check on guests which is good, though more attention should be placed on the food.

My family and I were here for the first time nearly 5 years ago and we have never stopped visiting. The service is tops and quality remains amongst the best.A wide range of wines is served along with soft drinks for littles ones for a delightful night or day out.Try and see for yourself. You will most probably come for seconds.... and thirds.

Mythos has a great atmosphere and the food is always excellent. Service isnt the best, waiters tend to cluster and talk to each other rather than serving tables attentively. On occasions I have found their salads arent as fresh as at other similar restaurants.

Nice restuarant with a beautiful upmarket set up. I love their sole fish with veggies. If you have a huge appetite and you are with someone, their mixed platter for two is the best and not forgetting their rice pudding!
