Hi Folks always enjoy going to Doppio. However yesterday, 18 Sept you really let me down. I eat a wide variety of your offerings & yesterday I felt like a burger so had off the Specials menu - a Doppio Beer Burger. You really let me down. It was awful. Really terrible. Inside it was not cooked sufficiently, the quality of the meat was seriously not what i am used to with a lot of stuff that in no way resembled meat & there was a nice piece of plastic in the patty just to top it off. Chips were great & service was good but that burger still makes me feel ill. Its the worst i have had in the many, many years i have had visiting Doppio Greenside. Cmon guys, you can do much, much better! Please dont let me down again.

What can one say, besides that their food are always good. A nice setting for a restuarant where you park inside and feel safe. Service is 5 star. You can have a private conversation without other tables listening in.

I love sitting outside on the deck and watching the dogs come past. Doggy friendly with lovely healthy food and great ingredient combinations. Their red pesto cream for one of the chicken dishes is amazing!

Good service 👍but not kids friendly, almost like a pub .

It seems like a hipster type place. Loud, busy, not a lot of parking. Seems very popular.They sell ice cream, coffee and other snack options for quick eats.Sit down is a bit pricey, the service was pretty quick and the waitron was polite and quick.Some orders didnt really come through exactly how we hoped but just rolled with it.

Went here for a quiet Sunday night alone. The restaurant is quite big. The seafood pasta I had was great as well as the wine. Service was also good. Overall good experience

I have been going to DOPPIO for years! Greenside and Rosebank....I frequent them, often.They ALWAYS deliver and I leave satisfied 😌. Whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner, I know that I can have my favourite meals and not be disappointed.Morning pop-ins never disappoint for cappuccino, scrumptious breakfasts and of course, taking home an olive or tomato ciabatta for my Dad!The salmon and sweet potato fish cakes with ginger dipping sauce....mmmmmm, really tasty. My favourite main meal, is the Pollo Involtini....absolutely incredible and ohhhhh sooooo divine.....melt in your mouth moments 😋. For a little sweetness, a good slice of the very best carrot cake or the apple crumble tarts!The staff are fantastic, always checking in that you are happy and satisfied, friendly and hospitable. I love the setup and the vibe is always chilled and vibey!

Always a pleasure to go there. They have a few dishes that are vegan friendly. The few that are there a good. Vegan pizza available as well. The juices are freshly pressed and delish.

Place does not deserve to be called Doppio zero, when I walked in I couldnt tell. Im not sure what type of market they cater to. The place needs a proper upgrade. I was afraid of even using their bathroom & most definitely didnt order food. We just ordered a drink, outside patio and left. Most definitely needs to change the brand, its more of a lokshin shebeen than a restaurant brand its representing.

Now THAT was a service and a half!!! food perfectly in time (20 min for the take away) and got a desert for my daughter, was a long day but that little gesture made it a great one!!! thank you doppio!!!

Never have I been at a restaurant where it feels like my business is an inconvenience to them. Upon arrival no one wanted to help us and several waiters just walked past us even though there were tables available. After 30 minutes of waiting for two coffees we tried to flag someone down to help us whom in turn just turned around and left while my friend was still mid sentence. We left after this and will definitely not be back. The waiting staff either seems overworked or just seriously need an attitude adjustment.

Good food and vibe, liked that we could bring our pet along, service was abit slow but generally very good and good manager.

I have never had a bad meal here. This visit delivered on its promise of great food. I had the chicken Caesar salad...textbook perfection: crunchy cos lettuce, a spikey, anchovy redolent caesar dressing, a nice portion of chicken , studded with crspy bacon bits accompanied by 3 crunchy slices of ciabatta toast. The accompanying red wine sangria was a little too sweet for me though.

Love this place.... Outdoor seating is the best. Their food their, their service and waiters are just perfect. Good place to chill on a Sunday morning. Their breakfast menu is just good and they are well worth every penny spent. Definitely one of my favorite spots to relax with family and friends.

Best best turkish rolls ever. Small ones R6.50 and big ones R15 plus we ordered pizzas and they served us in their own safe parking lot.

Once again, thank you Shantel and your lovely staff. We look forward to our next experience at this establishment.We went for my mothers birthday lunch a couple of weeks ago. Let me start with the positive. The server was incredible, she was attentive, on time, prompt and really took care of us. She deserves a raise or something. Even took the time to speak to my 5 year old son who said she was a very nice lady.The drinks were excellent, on point and just delicious. That berry iced tea was just amazing and my Cosmo was mixed to perfection.Now for the negative, the kitchen got my order wrong, which to me isnt a big deal. It happens all the time as my orders are specific, they corrected the mistake but the bun was so greasy and oily it looked unappetizing. The chips were only half cooked with some of them. The party had flavour, but the oilyness turned me off. I only managed to eat about half of it. My husbands food was bland and the veggies had zero taste or texture. The chicken was dry despite the sauce on it.Dessert was quite good and so was the coffee. I usually have a very positive experience with Dorpio Zero Greenside, so I was disappointed by this latest meal. I hope next time will be that 5 star quality I have come to love from this wonderful establishment.

This is my favourite Doppio ... had many fantastic meals and drinks here ... you have to try the croissants ... the almond ones seem to be on everyones plates ... I have enjoyed all the menu items that I have tasted!!Match that with a friendly atmosphere and staff ... what a way to enjoy the simple things in life ...Its a great time out from a hectic life.

Ask for your plate to be heated, particularly if youre eating outside as food cools quickly on the normally cold plates

Ordered from them on Uber Eats, ordered the chicken Caesar salad. iv never been more disappointed with an order. the lettuce was old and almost rotten and I kid you not I found a live bug in my salad. I really wish I was lying. I honestly dont know what to do I just chucked in away because im freaking out. im not about to be a Karen and go crazy, but like guys please DO BETTER

Great restaurant with good pairing options. Theres many choices on the menu so one can eat to their hearts desire. I ordered a Pollo pizza and it was fairly good but could have done with a bit of spice and a softer base. Service was excellent though and the restaurant has a warm vibe to it, which is nice.

I like doppio. Go there very often. Be nice if they could make an enclosure to the outside section. Yesterday was very cold. Should be covered all around especially now in the cold weather. Its perfect though for the summer evenings.

My family and I have been going to Doppio Greenside since I was in Preschool and I have completed university now. They years of patronage should be a good indication of the quality of this establishment.It is a great place to have a nice sit down meal or a quick coffee.Really recommend trying the Lemon Malva Pudding while it is still on the menu.

The ambiance of this place is classy but relaxed and the tables and chairs are also modern enough so that you feel comfortable but well taken care of.The breakfast food was great for the price. We especially liked the Mexican Bowl and the Hallumi Toast. The coffee was decent but the waiter took far too long to make a refill.I wouldnt come here for a quick bite as the food took a bit of time to come out but if youre looking for a nice brunch this place is great!

My brother and I ordered the 250g rump, both medium and with a mushroom sauce on the side, both steaks came well done and then we sent both back. It came back without their house sauce from on the plate. Plating was done correctly and fancy. Second steak was better, but she didnt bring the mushroom sauce. 1 round of drinks she didnt bring the 1 thinking it was a Savannah instead it was a castle lite. Food was tasty though, big ups on the food, thumbs down on service.

Delicious roasted butternut pasta. Yum! We had a lovely lunch under the umbrellas and trees. Lovely setting.

Great selection of breads, confectionary and decent coffee available during lockdown. One of my favourites is the hazelnut croissant. Id suggest grab one along with an americano, take a walk down the road to Emmarentia dam and work through it nice and slow over an ochre hued sunset.

Doppio always serves great food, the waiting staff was nice and always wore their masks over their mouths and noses and tables were cleaned before we sat down.Can recommend any of the steaks and pastas.They take card payment or cash, but also have a zapper QR on the receipt.

Always enjoy coming to Doppio Zero. They have an amazing Vegan section on their menu with added vegan dishes throughout. They are definitely keeping with the times and are my first favourite Vegan restuarant and are my second favourite coffee spot in Johannesburg!!

Food was very nice and service was good. Sat outdoors and the staff were very accommodating with seating us with one seat apart as we were having a work lunch. Parking can get pretty full on the premises itself but we were able to park next door with parking under shade. The Pollo limone was great.

Doppio Zero is lovely any time of day.This was a business meeting and so we had lots of coffees and a light snack.Next visit will be in two weeks for a supper.

Update: Not a response at all from The Resturant-it’s clear they do not care.A disaster and disappointment in all respects. From hair in drinks(picture attached) to confused orders-two orders of similar breakfasts, how hard can it be? Cold tea and food-one breakfast uncooked(spinach),one soggy with undercooked eggs-tasteless sauce with requests for condiments and drinks going unanswered or unordered. Replacement eggs attempt wasn’t any better and then besides the initial wait, had to chase down waiter for change as he had disappeared, assuming it was a tip because he didn’t listen. Tell all your friends and family to avoid this place, we definitely will!

The place has a great vibe to it and they make amazing sandwiches. The waiters are also up to scratch and are quite professional and curtoues. The only challenge I found is that there is limited parking space and one gets forced to park next door where one has to make an upfront payment of R10 which luckily gets deducted from the bill upon validating the ticket.

Great ambiance for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Menu has a wide variety to choose from. In the morning the Deli is filled with freshly baked goodies. Stop by nice and early to get yours before they are all sold out. Outside seating, Smoking section and dog friendly.

Nice setting, with enough space to accommodate a large crowd. A great menu, with well-made dishes and a nice selection of drinks. A must-visit for breakfast or lunch, but be sure to try 1 of their fresh squeezed juices!! Loved the idea that the smoking section was completely separate and you didnt smell any smoke. Parking is a bit of a headache and when the restaurant is crowded it becomes a bit of an issue. Service was okay and pricing standard. The best part was the Christmas treats that were for sale, looked and tasted yum!!

Im being extremely petty with the 4 stars.The missing 5th star is because they were out of the decadent vegan chocolate cake!Doppio Greenside has the bestest cleanest wood flooring ever!The waitress was attentive and very fluent with the dishes on the menu (all those Italian words).Proactively, they added extra prawns to my prawn pasta dish because I didnt want any other mixed seafood.Ok ok its actually a 5 star 🌟Thank you Doppio

Stopped by for a quick lunch. This place is dog friendly and you can eat with your dog on the patio ( they even bring a bowl of water for him ). They then start you off with one of the best ciabiatta’s I’ve had (pic). Rest of the food was good , service a bit slow and perhaps a little over priced.

Probably the best choc croissants in town. Excellent coffee. Limited and hazardous parking.Staff not too concerned about serving cooked breakfast cold. Good place to socialize in the mornings. Hygiene practice looks good. Secure dining area with difficult access for phone catchers.

It is a lovely eatery where different dishes and small discussion/ work can take place.
