With minimal options on menu, it was a bit disappointing when asking for something and being told it’s not available. Our waiter, Nokuthula was very helpful. Restaurant adheres to covid-19 protocol and has a wonderful ambiance.

They didnt have pina-caolada or black label beers. I then ordered a Windhoek and it was flat. Finally I got a beer that I could drink and enjoy. My partner ordered Buttermilk chicken and I regret not taking a photograph of this dish. She did not get a roll or any garnish, only strips of crumbed chicken with no sauce.I ordered the BBQ cheese, it had no gherkins, very little of the onion etc.When I complained the manager did not look at me despite the fact that I was polite and spoke softly (as my girlfriend was embarrassed to complain)I paid my full bill and tipped the waitress. It will be the last time I go to Rose bank M&B

I love this mug and bean because it has another seating area where you can just hide and do work and enjoy great coffee. Definitely my go to. Love the breakfast combos

Waitress (Precious) was absolutely lovely. The food was a let down. Stingy portions. Cheapest ingredients used. One of our orders included a burger patty more processed than one you would find in a McDonalds meal. Ordered a bottomless Peach Tea, my second glass was so watered down it tasted like barely flavoured water. Rosebank Branch not up to the standard one would expect from a Mugg and Bean.

If 0 stars was a option believe me they would get it, staff is friendly but holy moly worst service ever, and on top of that they didn’t have some of the most popular drink options on the menu. To add to this the food was just disappointing. I’ve had a much better experience from a mugg and bean at a gas station. Would not recommend coming here :(

I had the most horrible experience . I had to wait clearly for more than an hour. 40 minutes after waiting i complained , even then the workers did not care, they blocked access to the Manager. If you are in a hurry and want good service, i suggest you dont go there

I ordered a low carb breakfast and it was disgusting. It should be a crime to sell food like this. Everything was soggy, poached eggs were something else, avo didnt look too fresh and the haloumi was like rubber and the spinach was revolting. This meal almost made me sick, I had to throw it away. Do not order from here, you will only be disappointed🤢🤮

Very poor service, got there around 11 am for breakfast and left at 11:45 without having being served, asked the waiters to call the manager but they ignored us and some said she’s busy😏 ended up going to Tashas and got a much better service!!!!

Nice atmosphere, pleasant and professional staff, always one of my favourite restaurants.Just a bit of advise, dont sit near the Cafe😅, Mugg & Bean is dead center of the mall, so lots of people walk past, so unless you want to be constantly looked at while you eat, I suggest sitting inside.But a great experience nonetheless

Lovely setup of the restaurant but unfortunately very poor service. The restaurant is well staffed but only one or two waiters were attending to clients while the other five were busy on their phones in the downstairs section. This unfortunately resulted in exceptionally slow service as nobody was attentive to the downstairs tables and the waiter would only walk past every 10 minutes or so.Besides this, I had a very bad experience with the muffin. It was warmed before serving to the point that I couldnt touch it, the chocolate had burnt inside it and it tasted like melted plastic. When I sent it back and complained about it they brought me another muffin. The second muffin had been warmed in the microwave inside a clear plastic packet. I have a concern regarding the health and safety of this procedure as the packet was obviously not microwave safe and therefore is likely to make the food carcinogenic.

Terrible service on Sunday 5/9/2021. They had no chips but instead of saying so they gave us burned oven chips. I repeatedly had to call my waitress. Shocking service and food was really poor quality.

Open fairly early for breakfast at 7:30am. Good service and seemingly friendly staff. Small wait as we were, possibly, the first breakfast customers in the door. If youre in a hurry might not be the quickest option that early.

Was very quiet but tables were dirty and waitress just standing around instead of making sure tables are ready for new customers.

I stopped off for a Blueberry muffin and a Cappacino and was told that they dont have Blueberry, so I said fine and chose Banana and eventually they brought Blueberry.I assumed they took ages to bring my coffee because they were going to bring them together, but when I did get eventually get the coffee no muffin until Id almost finished my coffee.A long story that could be shortened to.. Service far too slow!

Not a pleasant experience at all. The waitress got our order wrong 3 times. I explained to the waitress that i cannot eat bacon due to being muslim and requested the macon option and she brought me bacon with my breakfast. No sauces and no condiments. Took the breakfast back only to bring me ice cold eggs and oil dripping macon.. which means the food was just put on a new plate. We ordered 2 drinks and was told the syrup that its made with is out of stock and they awaiting delivery. I ordered a decaf Latte and received a non decaf latte. No manager on site. Very disappointed as we enjoy mugg n bean food but will definitely not be going back to mugg n bean Rosebank.

What a total disaster! Worst MB experience ever...I didnt order vinegar...I ordered poached eggs🤨. Spinach was rotten...just generally a nightmare...love the MB in Cresta...Rosebank has serious work to do! Staff were amazing though...so I took my brown avo home🤢

Good food, realllllly slow service

Not bad at all. Ive had a couple of hours to kill after work the last few weeks and Mugg and Bean has worked well for that. Their bottomless hot chocolate and serious cappuccino are good. Free wifi is a big plus. Didnt feel rushed to leave and could take my time and get some work done.

Waiters are friendly but food took forever to arrive sadly.

We ordered two x breakfast an Coffee, breakfast arrived 2x milk jugs chipped,waitress walked away without asking if we require any sauces.then to top it off some other waitress came over to our table started spraying cleaning products on the glass wall next to us .an also knives for cutting are so blunt .you need to address these issues before you end up another statistic like all the restaurants closing down

On 08-09-2020 my experience with the waitresses was disgusting. They were talking behind my back, thinking I cant understand what they were saying. I am absolutely repulsed at their unprofessional behavior. So what if I wanna cut my burger when I eat it? You fools. You will not be seeing me in your Establishment ever again. The only employee worth keeping is Faith, she is a darling.

The staff was very polite and helpful. All the time I was waiting for my food there was a member that would check up on me. Theyll check up on me even when Im eating to insure everything is okay. I really enjoyed the food. I hadnt had Mac n cheese in a while and theirs was just delicious. The only deplorable thing to me was the lack of diversity in the sauces for the fries. They only had tomato and chilli sauce available.Otherwise the service was great and the food delectable.

Had a decent cappuccino & bottomless hot chocolate today. Friendly service from the waitron, though not having sugar available at the table anymore (they used to have sugar in sachets on each table) we had to ask for more when a refill was brought without sugar.

So ten months ago I was here, and I gave them 1 star. Only because it is not possible to score them any lower. Ive returned now, stupidly believing that theyd be so greatful to be able to WORK again, that they would actually improve their service. Not so. I ordered a g&t, which is really the eassiest thing, you would think. After 15 the waitress returned, without my order, and said they only have 1L bottels of tonic water. You know what? Pls dont make your problem my problem. Honestly? Eventually I got my g&t, and the standard tin of tonic water appeared out of nowhere. This is now final. They will never see me again. Restaurant with the worst service.

In two hours we have watched five people stumble on this step. An elderly lady just had a serious fall. Thankfully she was not hurt. You need to do something about this step. Your sign is not of any use. People walking cannot see it.

Just visited the M&B with a promise from the waiters that the cheesecake is baked. Upon receiving my cheesecake I realized that it was not Baked, nevertheless I tucked in. When asking for my bill I mentioned to the waiter that it was not Baked & he told me will confirm with the bakery. I made payment & asked for feedback it turns out the bakery was too far @ the back for him to confirm this! A young man to lazy to go the extra mile!

This Mugg & Bean is Dissapointing, they Charge R32 for a Muffin and they wont even throw in Butter and Jam when its a Take away.Im already paying money that could buy me a meal in other restaurants and wont even get a stick of butter, the service was very poor and the waiters were not very friendly as well, ,on top of the over priced meals, there is also no wifi to make matters worse.

Staff are wonderful and. The food was good, I love the breakfast options. Atmosphere can be either intimate or mellow depending on the sheeting area, nobody is on top on anyone. Would do with more pastry options but the cakes are sweet.

Service is great,but the coffee is poor and expensive. Also, the scone i had was very dry.

Good Service food was also delicious. I was shocked to discover they dont have a non plastic alternative to straws. I really feel that this is a huge disappointment and it really needs to be rectified. Ive given such a low rating as I feel the issue with the straws really needs to be addressed as plastic straws is a thing from the past. I fully understand that Mugg and Bean probably has an excess of straws that they need to use up but I strongly feel they should of a environmentally friendly option.

This place is a joke. Came for lunch. Was eagerly sent to a table and left alone. When I went to find a waitress.. Was told she went to the loo! So if youre in her section best you leave.Then both our menus were missing the exact same pageNow theres a sickly sweet smell cos the one waitress decided its a good idea to clean the glass next to us with a detergentI truly give up on this place

The service was slow and the waitress not friendly at all. It took three attempts to warm up two muffins. Then the waitress didnt say another word the rest of the time we were there not even a thanks when presented with a tip she didnt earn or deserve. Nice setup, intimate yet professional ambiance.I only have a good experience when I order from Uber eats and when I buy to go.When you sit, the service will definitely sour your day (slow and often wrong).The food is great though! Their New York baked cheesecake and their paninos are some of the best I have had.

I parked my trolley in the Mugg & Bean after being assured it would be safe, whilst having brunch with my son. Even though it was in sight, somebody still managed to steal a pillow. I only noticed once I was home & I called the store & was assured it would be looked into & that I would be contacted, but as yet I have had no word with regards to the in-store theft.

I love Mug and Bean coffee. This one is in the heart of Rosebank and as an old brunch, kept it reputation.There are two sections, one inside and one out (not outside really but you can see people walking in the mall. One negative point to this restaurant is that it is very noisy. The ceiling is low which echoes sound.Food is good and waiters are really helpful.

Food is good like I said you can eat for less than R120 thats the best thing now with our economy. You can take your whole family its cosy and a very warm and friendly place to go too Try it for yourselves.

This place used to serve well prepared food. These days it is not the case. The service is mostly great as the waiting stuff is good. Problem is the food. I ordered a caffè crème and I was asked if I want milk which I said no to. I got an americano instead when I asked for the cream I was given whipped cream. Not really sure what was the confusion about.Had SA farm breakfast and it was not well seasoned and lacked taste. I couldn’t even finish. I need a break from this place and this time it might be for good

They served us MARGERINE with the muffins and the waitress didn’t even flinched when I ask why. This is unacceptable!

Good food at a reasonable price. Comfy sofa seats and a nice space. Service was very slow though and we were practically the only people there. Goodness knows how they manage when its busy.

Burnt coffee? Never have I ever at any M&B. Service is lacking (hate having to search for your waiter). Found eggshell in my pancake. Quesadilla was tasteless and watery. Life’s too short to have bad breakfast man. Skip this one.

Food was very poor quality, ordered wings and ribs, fries were too crispy (almost tasted like they were warmed up) and ribs were dry and tasteless and covered up with lots of sauce. We cancelled the meal after complaining and being re-served the same meal, finding it was just re-arranged on a fresh plate.

Great food however the service is a bit distracted and slow. Has some nice vegetarian options. The breakfast menu is quite nice if you love eggs.

Very slower service, understandably it was a busy day but many other customers that had arrived after us were being served and we were still waiting for our food. The waiters are the only ones trying their best, theyre constantly working. The management is useless. Theres a bald white guy that screams at the waiters until they look like theyre going to cry. The waiters apologize multiple times but the the management and kitchen staff seem to be incompetent. I spoke to the manager who doesnt apologize and says its unacceptable but doesnt do anything about it. The food is good but they need to treat the waiters better

Brunch today. Firstly we were served lukewarm mineral water - warmer than room temperature. I pointed it out - no apology. I asked for ice which was a very long time coming and melted almost instantly. Our omelets took ages to arrive. Low carb bread which comes at a premium price arrived with no butter. Another wait. When the butter finally arrived it was rock hard and the bread cold. The cheese in the omelet was horrible tasteless plastic-y stuff. Payment was another delay. I wont be back.

Waiters steal your change. Management sell you bad coffee, refusing a refund even if the coffee is bottomless and you only took a sip - so they have no problem stealing your money too!! I will never be returning.
